Meanwhile, in Forever 2100...
There was rummaging in the clothing discount bin. A ghoul in pink boots was kneeling on the ground, taking out some pieces of clothes in order to scavenge deeper into the small wooden box. Multiple sounds of discontent emerged... she obviously couldn't find what she wanted or anything that interested her.
Another monster walked around the corner, coming into view of the discount box. Clothed in a zipped up leather winter jacket, his 'best jeans' (only a few tiiiiiny rips in the denim...), he crossed his arms across his chest at the sight of the ghoul that was deep inside of the discount box.
"Falconnie, what ARE you doing?" He asked in disbelief, walking up to the box. She didn't even stop to look at him, throwing a blue skirt at him.
"I've got to find at least a new pair of leggings for the new scaremester!" She replied, now pulling herself out of the box to look at her brother. "I'm pretty sure that it's a tradition to get new clothes, right? I don't want to show up to Monster High looking the same as I always have!"
Dashner simply laughed and shook his head. Since you're my sister, I doubt anybody would expect anything different. The ghoul rolled her eyes, standing up and brushing herself off and putting all the clothes she had removed back into the box. While she did this, Dashner spotted a tan coloured coat. He walked to the rack and took it off, bringing it to Falconnie. "Say... If you couldn't find any clothes you like, what about this jacket? I like it. And it will look like you have another outfit," he chuckled.
Falconnie turned around and looked at the coat. "Wow... I actually love it!" She took the coat from him and tried it on. Dashner chuckled yet again, "And who said I have no 'fashion choice?'" He said with air quotes. "It looks nice on you."
The ghoul smiled and took it off, taking Dashner by his arm. She smiled at him with a sweet smile. "Aaaaand you're going to pay for it... right?"
Dashner just laughed and shook his head. "Okay... fine. But you owe me. He said, handing the coat to the clerk and paying for it. Once he was given the bag, he handed it to Falconnie. "Now come on, we need to get ready for the new scaremester at Monster High."
They smiled and walked out of the store together.

"Bark."
"2..."
"Mew."
"1!!!"
In a flash, the cages of dozens of animals all suddenly just-so-happened to break at once, freeing the critters from within. Some snakes slithered down to the floor. A dozen cats jumped around, and 4 dogs began chasing each others tails. A flying monkey, free from its habitat, decided to go even further and began sending monsterous guinea pigs, hamsters and rats free.
It was a creature feature stampede!
"What the-" A hapless pet store lurker jumped aside just as the store's one skeleton horse trotted by.
"Oh no!" The store's one on-duty employee's jaw dropped. He slammed a button on the register. "It's a code blue! The animals have revolted! I've dreaded this day!"
In the back, Atomica and Lin watched as the animals all naturally started heading towards the entrance...and directly in their way were Cassie and Gryff.
"Here it comes..." Lin rubbed his claws together with glee.
"Are you sure they're going to be okay?" Atomica asked. Lin huffed.
"Oh nooooo, they're going to be SNUGGLED by FUZZY CREATURES, what a tragedy!" He mocked as two dozen bunnies began leaping towards Cassie. Atomica raised an eyebrow. "Of course they'll be fine! All that matters is breaking up this lovey-dovey goremantic atmosphere!"
"That's true." Atomica nodded. "Once the stampede separates them, you check on Cass and I'll check on Gryff, just to be sure."
Lin nodded and they watched as the looming shadow of squishy, huggable critters began to cover Gryff and Cassie...

Kai, Demona and her Fang-ghouls were chilling post-soda explosion on some seats near the main entrance of the Maul.
"Do you ghouls go to Monster High?" Kai asked. The ghouls shook their heads.
"I go to a private werecat school, Buzzby is hive-schooled, and Tribecca goes to Oculus Academy." Purrsia hexplained. "If we went to Monster High, that would be a scream come true!"
"Bummer." Kai nodded as the ghouls all sighed loudly. He had forgotten that being accepted into Monster High wasn't as simple as it sounded. Although the school welcomed any monster, it had limits on just how many it could hold. Not to mention, there were still plenty in the older monster generations who didn't like the idea of a school where any kind of monster could attend.
"But! Each of us is the head of our own school's Demona fang club-"
"Even if it's a club of one." Buzzby shyly added. Kai grinned.
"So you guys are the Demona Division, eh?"
"The Demona Division! Hexactly!" Tribecca piped up. "We need a secret handshake - or a theme song!"
"Omighoul that's brilliant!" Purrsia rubbed her claws together. "A song that shows you can be on-point and demonically delicious all the time, just like our she-ro! But, how should it go?"
The three ghouls huddled up, talking about the Demona Division and it's theme song. Kai looked at Demona. She wasn't one to feel embarrassed about getting attention - that was what being a vanity demon was all about. But he wasn't sure how she'd react to getting her praises SUNG on high in the middle of the maul...

Outside of the pet store....
A group of shopping monsters jumped out of the way as a cavalcade of pets ran out of the store, making their way into the Maul.
"Voof!" A vampire dog from Transylvania greeted a couple of panicked skeletons. The dog licked its lips looking at their beautiful, bleached femurs.
"Bats! AUGH!" An easily-startled Ogre jumped into the arms of a nearby Mothman. "Rats! EEEK! MOTHS! EYARGH!"
The mothman gave the Ogre a cool stare and dropped him on the ground.
"Lions and Tigers and Bears?! Oh my! That is one well-stocked pet store." A nonplussed mummy remarked and then went back to texting. The animals, birds and other creepy-crawlies poured out, like a wave of pet activity.
And riding on top of that wave...
Atomica wasn't sure how it happened. Maybe the Skele-horse took a weird skid, or maybe Gryff and Cassie had been tripped by one of the several dozen vampire bunnies that were scattering. But somehow, the two of them were atop the skeleton horse, Cassie laying in Gryff's arms, seeming to come out on top of the crest of that wave of animal activity.
"Oh CRUD." Was all Atomica could muster. With the effervescent sparkles of the soda pop rainbow still in the air, rose petals fluttering all over the Maul from the greeting card store, and now adorable vamp-bunnies hopping to the sides as Gryff and Cassie majestically rode atop of a rippling skeleton horse, it was almost the most goremantic scene Atomica had ever seen in her entire un-life.
"Holy Sha-MOLEY, I haven't seen goremance novel covers that look that lovey-dovey! And my grimma has dozens of those things!" Lin hexclaimed, rejoning Atomica with his jaw dropped.
Almost in slow motion, the skeleton horse lept, and Gryff's shirt flew open as sparkles seemed to burst in mid-air. At that hexact moment, the Demona Division hit their highest, most angelic-choir-sounding note in their song.
There was a hushed silence other than the singing. Atomica blew a fuse in her temple.

Cassie buried her face into Gryff's back heavily aware of the stares the maul was giving her and Gryff.
She wished she wasn't riding on the back of a skele-horse in the middle of a soda rainbow, with the hextremely loud and annoying sound of a three pre-scream ghouls trying to sing.
She wanted it to be over, she held onto Gryff trying to focus on something. anything. anything. anything. anything.
She wondered if Atomica were here what would she say? If Atomica were here she wouldn't be hiding that's for sure. Atomica would probably turn this scene into some sort of 'Come see my band' advert. If Lin were here he would be enjoying the ride....
With a CLASH the skele-horse landed its bones scattering everywhere similar to the way water splashes when its being poured. Cassie tumbled landing on top of Gryff's torso, she looked up seeing the horse's bones shake them come back to its full form, standing tall as if nothing had really happened to them.
She sat up, getting her head off of Gryff's chest and tried to ignore the fact that it had happened.
"Sorry Uhm I like, uh,..yeah" She said awkwardly
The burning in her cheeks refused to let it go.
She stood up and dialed Atomica's number, going back to the pet store, this is why she was here. Well, ONE of the reasons and if she was going to have to be put through all of this without the food for her...She needed to breathe and talk to her friend. She needed Atomica to reassure her. she needed to be told she was overreacting. She turned away from the store, she couldn't go in there alone... Cassie was pacing outside the entrance listening to the dial tone.
Faintly she could hear Atomica's ringtone. Cassie looked around trying to see if it was her imagination. Today had been,.. a day and that certainly wasn't the weirdest thing that had happened.
