Brief Backstory:
-----Fenryr was born to a pair of lions who...had no right being parents.
-----Young, inexperienced, and without a pride to back them up, the two rogues and their young cub searched for a place to call their own.
-----That place ended up being under a small hill, a single tree outside it.
-----For a while, this was all he knew. The hill. The tree. Mother, Father. Them. His world encompassed by these few.
-----His world became a lot smaller when his father, watching him as his mother was out looking for food, fought off another rogue male.
-----The fight ended swiftly, and while the rogue lay slain, Fenryr's father was soon to follow.
-----As his father bled out from a laceration, Fenryr watched in fascination as he died slowly.
-----When his mother returned, he learned of death. He learned of ritual. Mourning. How to move on.
-----Move on they did. And on, and on, as the hill and the tree were to be forgotten.
-----Fenryr grew stronger, his mother grew older.
-----At some point, he learned to move on yet again.
-----Death seemed so prevalent in his life.
Brief Personality:
-----Fenryr is a quiet, curious lion. He enjoys listening to others rather than talk, which may lead to some thinking he is shy or a pushover. He's drawn to death and the macabre, fascinated but not yet fully understanding yet. though he can be gentle and kind, it doesn't take too much prodding to make him explode with a temper.

Lion/ess Name and Image: Mng'aro

Brief Backstory: An ex-swampie, Mng was the runt (and a seer - he gets vague visions/hunches/urges that niggle at him...and gave him a reputation for being a little dreamy, or spacey as a cub). He was sickly and frail throughout his youth, so he had to be much more stubborn and determined than his siblings and peers to do anything physical. He's still small, being closer in size to a normal adolescent, with a delicate, slim build..and a distinct lack of stamina.

He left the pride to go find his adult name, and was unpleasantly surprised that, for all that his seer abilities had usually led him to where he needed to go for important things, he felt...nothing. after wandering far longer than he ever would have expected, he heard of the destruction of the swamplands (and worse, he had one of his only full-fledged visions, which forced him to see it, despite the distance), and has been wandering aimlessly as a rogue since. Having recently wandered over to the newly-formed lake of sighs (and fortunately, emerging from the experience unscathed), and feeling somewhat unnerved by the odd goings-on from the current shop meta, something had his paws moving in a new direction...and he ended up here.
Brief Personality: Never one who gives up on what he sees as important, Mng'aro makes up for his lack of physical prowess with sheer determination. Soft-spoken, and so sometimes overlooked as being a pushover, he's more inclined to quietly refuse to argue with someone who won't see eye-to-eye with him, and then doing what he thinks is right anyway. Coming from the swamplands, he's not a particularly squeamish lion, nor is he intensely sentimental (he has a decidedly practical approach to most things).

He's a fairly strong seer, although it seems to manifest most often in hunches, or urges to go a certain way, rather than frequent, full-fledged visions, and as a result, can come across as somewhat introspective, and it can sometimes lead him to doing things that might otherwise seem at odds with his no-nonsense nature.

Brief Backstory: Born from a taboo romance in the voodoo pride, Betsabé was her mother's darkest secret, as well as a secret from the entire pride--no one knew of her existence aside from her mother and her uncle, who cared for her when they could spare the time. Her father had died before her birth, his death the unfortunate result of "zombie" experimentation by his lover. Betsabé lived in a completely secret area away from prying eyes and knew only what her mother (who showed no love to her) and uncle told her. As Betsabé grew older, her mother was driven from the pride, her uncle was captured by the Stormborn, and the pride itself began to crumble. Betsabé became separated from the life she once knew and had no choice but to find her own way. Spending so much of her early life in solitude and her own thoughts gave Betsabé a unique spin on her pride's beliefs. She has a veneration for the spirits, but felt very close to Death. It was Death who linked her to the father she never knew, after all, and it was he who kept her company in her cubhood games of make-believe.
Brief Personality: Betsabé often seems quizzical or even distrusting of others at first, but in actuality she's deeply curious by nature. It's just that her "I'm extremely interested" expression usually reads as "what are those offensive words coming out of your mouth". She's a compassionate lioness who treats everyone equally (although she can't help but feel closer to those with deceased fathers), and she has a great thirst for knowledge. She's much better at understanding black-and-white information than abstract social cues or implications. Perhaps having something to do with the way she grew up, she has a tendency to voice her thoughts aloud when she's alone. She's also quite good with cubs.

Brief Backstory: [She doesn't have much of a back story, so I'ma wing it now since I've never rped her] Sheedra comes from a long history of rogues. Rough times and hardships, she has learned first hand the cycle of life.
Brief Personality: Sheedra is sweet and outgoing. She tries to optimistic and tries to cheer others up.

Lion/ess Name and Image: Malidadi'Nafsi
Brief Backstory: Mali was product of the union of Heart and Claw in the Mizimu, while the pride was not only active, but flourishing. She grew up following in her father's footsteps and became an accomplished warrior in the ranks before... everything fell apart. To this day, when asked, Mali wouldn't quite be able to tell you what happened. One day, everything was normal and then... it all just crumbled, like a mountain to dust. She has since been a rogue, unsure of her place in the world or what she believes in.
Brief Personality: Headstrong, but more of the silent, down to earth type, allowing her actions to speak, rather than her words. She is thus, not likely to stick her proverbial foot in her mouth. She's at a point where she's conflicted, unsure of who she is, what she wants and how to go about getting it. She also deeply mourns the loss or passing of her pride, so she's vaguely sorrowful in nature and not as bright as she used to be. I thought sticking her here would give meaning to it and allow her to brighten up, ironically.

Brief Backstory: Like her sister, she comes from the desert ruins. However, unlike her sister, Jamila was once drawn away from the pride by a trusted uncle and attacked. She was left scared over 80% of her body as a juvenile lioness. She had a tough time trusting after that and sometimes finds it difficult around larger, dark male lions.
Brief Personality: Towards females and light colored males, Jamila is quick with a smile and a kind word or two. Time in the rogue lands honed her ability for hunting and is very protective toward her lions that are family or friends. She's more nervous around dark males, but will grow used to them in time.
