[PRP] We meet again (Leitha and Cadassi)

Obviously it was not. Cadassi watched as the his new "girlfriend" Ignored him. Why did he always have to go for the loonies?!

Deciding that it was now or never to change his life, or die as this case would probably be, he grabed Leitha, dipped her low, and gentley touched his lips to hers.

All the while, hoping against hope that she wouldn't kill him.

Leitha had been quiet for a bit. This was a lot of information for her to take in. Mostly in that she had now acquired a boyfriend. She hadn't realized that he was feeling ignored when he had dared touch her.

The naiad almost slapped him. Something had stopped her from pulling back, from breaking his neck. Her amethyst eyes narrowed, allowing him this moment. He wouldn't get another like it again.

Once he was done, she pushed him off. "Are you finished with this disgusting display of affection?" Leitha growled, rather mad at him right now.

Cadassi blushed. His eyes were unfocused, his breathing a little uneven. His powers hadn't even set off. This kiss was perfect. Then Leitha's tone of voice kicked in. And she sounded angry.

Well, that was never good.

Focusing on Leitha, he grimaced inwardly as he took in her posture. His happy mood slipped away on a bubble of regret. She obviously didn't get the same reaction he had.

"Yes. I'm done." he mumbled.

"Good." She frowned, adjusting her seating a bit so that she was in his lap rather than next to him. For some reason, Leitha had rather enjoyed his touch. She just wanted it on her own terms. Not his.

She folded her arms, looking up at him. "Ask before you touch me next time Cadassi. If you don't you'll get burnt." All the ice in the world seeped into her voice. It was a defense mechanism of hers. One that she had found to work well. Except when she wanted someone to be close. Leitha couldn't turn off the cold hearted naiad she had become.

Cadassi nodded absently, already wondering why the kiss hadn't been the same for her. He thought they got along okay. Well..... bout as well as a psychopath and a normal person get along. And she said herself that he invoked feelings in her. Maybe they weren't good feelings, like he once thought. Maybe she just put up with him.

Ignoring her tone of voice, ice or not, he simply set her back down in the chair next to him and stood. "I think I should go," he said, biting his lip to keep the tears from streaming down his face.

Cadassi headed toward the door.
