Is is really wrong?

I don't have a problem with it because I believe that as long as you accept Jesus as your savior and believe in the the Lord and have faith in him it is okay. If you feel guilty about doing it, repent your sins, but forgive yourself first.

i just dont think its right. you're encouraging the media to produce more by watching it. its an ugly way to view bodies.

Watching porn is not sinful- lusting after someone is. If you have a logical reason to be watching people performing sans clothing, then that's fine, so long as you are not lusting while doing so.

As an example- I do 3D modelling. In order to make a humanoid model look realistic and still be low-poly enough to use, you have to know exactly where to put everything- all seams, joints, etc. And so I have, occcasionally, used nude pictures or videos as reference material to make sure my work is done accurately and well. And that is the extent of my use.

If it were not- if, after completing my use as reference I used the materials to go jerk off or whatever- it would then be a sin.



And a few notes to prior posters- first of all, it is not a sin to look at a naked body. Elsewise- babies would be born fully clothed. Or we would be sinning anytime we changed a diaper. The sin is- as I said- the lusting, not the looking.

And secondly- for Jakkaru, in particular- please read the book of Romans.

(Chapter 3 especially, if I recall correctly.)

The fact that we are saved by grace does NOT mean that we are free to do as we wish and sin as we want so grace may abound even more. The term, LORD, means master- IF HE IS YOUR MASTER, YOU MUST DO AS HE SAYS. Or at least attempt to do so to the best of your abilities.

FORGIVING YOURSELF IS &*^&#xIN;G USELESS- you CANNOT forgive your own sins, and you are not the one being attacked by them. It's like telling God, 'Oh, don't worry, it's ok! I FORGAVE myself for punching you in the face repeatedly!'.

REPENTENCE, is an active turning away from previous actions- not just saying 'oh I'm sorry' as you walk back to do them again.

And saying "If you feel guilty about doing it, repent your sins"?

A quote from scriptures- If you repent your sins He is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

REPENTENCE FIRST. If you've not repented YOU'RE NOT FORGIVEN. AND, if you do not feel guilty about DISOBEYING GOD'S WORD, then it's a sure sign that Jesus is NOT your lord and savior- as you obviously don't give a half $#!+ about Him or anything to do with him.

Another thing:
Porn is for lust. It wasn't right to be made in the first place.
Think about the people making it, and what they say about sex. Sex should be about love. Married love. Between a man and a woman (let's not get into the gay discussion here, PM me if you wanna yell at me. I think gay marriage should be the church's decision, as of the preacher's the one marrying them.)
And it's the ultimate expression of love...becoming one flesh.

Porn is not about that.
It is a debasement of what sex is for, and what God created it for. that's why its' wrong. Forget the lust factor, think about what porn is and why it's made. Think about the people in them and what they're telling you about God's gift. That in and of itself should tell you something.

One of the ten commandments is "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife" That is essentially saying "Do not lust after what is not yours." We are to be pure until our wedding night. However, our minds should also be pure. The Lord says that our thoughts are just as sinful as our actions. Committing acts of sex in our minds is the same as with out bodies. You are still guilty.

You may not look at the person as being you, however, you are watching acts of sex, and are being seduced by it.

We all fall short of the glory of God. However we should not use that as an excuse to commit sin.

THANK YOU. I find these misunderstandings to be a big problem with many Christians today. Once you have accepted Christ, you have the conviction of the Holy Spirit to do what God wants you to do; so although we are not saved by works, once we are saved, we want to do the good works that God has planned for us. Thus being able to judge a tree by its fruit!
