10 years, I'll probably have a masters in social work and in student development, doing my final years in Residence Life before moving into a Social Security based job because there is probably only so much college student I can take.

At 33 years of age, I'll probably be living in Oregon enjoying my life. It's beautiful country up there, and hopefully I'll be teaching high school. Although maybe a junior college instead, I forget what level a Masters in History allows you to teach at. I don't know if I'll be married, since my girlfriend that I'm seeing now doesn't want to leave California. I might even have a house...houses are a bit cheaper up there. Or maybe even two houses, rent out rooms to college students.

Maybe a trip or two to the Czech Republic. I've always been curious about what life in ye olde country is like.

I'll probably have a good-sized library, proper bookshelves. I doubt it, but maybe even read books in a leather chair in front of a fireplace...can anyone say cardigan and corncob pipe? rofl

Or maybe not. It all depends on how well I put my nose into my schoolwork now.

In ten years, I will probably be fresh out of med school and trying to get a start in the scientific world... maybe genetic therapy, or making vaccines. I dunno, I'm going to have to do some research. sweatdrop If I don't make it through college I'll probably end up working at the local bookstore.

I want to see Japan at least once in my lifetime, and the UK as well. Not necessarily the cities, but the little towns, too. If there's any of those left in ten years.

Oh, and I've made a promise to myself that someday I will go to New Zealand to see where they shot LotR. 3nodding

Most likely I won't be married because I don't want to until I have a firmly established career and a place to live other than my parents' house.

No home ten years from now, really? You must be younger than I thought you were.

I really want to get into a UC school, although my hopes aren't high for getting into UC Berkeley... the average GPA for people going in is about 4.18 gonk And I'm really not all that sure about what career I even want to go into now... my AP Bio grades have me firmly convinced that bioscience is not the path for me, either. If I could find a job that combined algebra and bioscience... something to do with populations, perhaps.

I will hopefully be working on my doctorate in some form of Archeology or Cultural Anthropology. Most likely concentrating on Egypt and other parts of Africa. It's the one thing that takes history, culture and art and places them all together.

Optimistic:

As a candidate for state senate in NH, realistically in the R party, but hopefully in the L, with realistic chances of winning. Or, aternatively, already in the state senate, fighting with all my might a 2 cent tax increase to build a new children's hospital

Pessimistic: Doing grunt work at CATO or Reason in a windowless basement somwehere in DC

Ten years? Definitely back in the Bahamas. Whether filming movies, documentaries ect. or just working for one of the local TV stations I'll invariably be back there. Five years from now probably on some documentary project with National Geographic in the middle of nowhere.
