The reality only pushed her back; who says the crimson moon doesn't shine? Why don't they just Make Believe.

Around them, the baying of eaglehounds suddenly shattered the silence. The warriors peered out: a pale cloud or two broke the starry darkness, but there was nothing they could see that would set off a hound.
"The wild dogs cry out at night," an elder muttered, and, as uneasy as the tribe were, that was that.
"Wild dogs cry," they said at each other night after night when the hounds began to bay. It took time before they started noticing that one of the pale clouds seemed to loom ever larger, the stars ever brighter, and even then they did not realise.
When that piece of sky finally broke away from the horizon and revealed himself to be a circumspect buck hoping for conscription, "Wild Dogs Cry," was what they pronounced him with some surprise.

Name origin:
It was just unfortunate for the eager rookie to have joined the tribe at a time when they were busy battling wily opposition who favoured ambushes in the dark - her startling pink bolts practically announced their position. "Wait here," their grizzled leader took to saying, nudging her to the very back of the ranks. She withstood this ignominy with good grace the first few nights, bouncing irritably on her heels as she craned her neck to watch the frontline troops pick - and win - their little fights as they crept through the foliage...then there came a night where the opponents piled on, and the little fight was no longer so little.
"NO MORE WAITING!!!" she screamed as she charged through her comrades (knocking them sideways left and right) to the very front. Her sudden arrival took the enemy rather by surprise, her dazzling bolts blinding, the stars studded across her helm knocking stars into their eyes as she headbutted indiscriminately about.
The skirmish did expand into rather a gruelling battle, but by the end of it, her troop was left standing victorious, and so their grizzled leader did not pause to consider how her insubordination might well have caused their mass demise in some alternate unfolding of events. Instead, he knocked his horns against hers companionably and heartily bellowed, "Very well, No More Waiting!"

Name origin: Time was fragile. Time was fleeting. It was not to be wasted on games of strategy, or false pretenses of peace. If she hit something hard enough, it was bound to fall. There was no reason to waste time thinking about it.

She ran out before they finished the first war cry. Before she could see the glints in her enemy’s eyes. She was the frontrunner, the First Attack, even though she was never meant to be. By the time her enemies spotted her, it was too late for them. They wasted their time.

Name origin: It was dangerous to cross him. He twisted wounds as much as he twisted words. He’d use anything to get his way, tricking his foes with sweet nothings. And once he had them in caught in his violent trap, he’d be enjoying their screams, keeping them alive just to listen to them plea for forgiveness. And then he’d laugh. He’d laugh and laugh, loud enough to hear for miles. Some said that he had been tainted by the world, seeking to right the wrongs that were inflicted on him. Others just thought he was born Cruel.

Sorry for the delay on this everyone! I was on a month long epic road trip, and just got home last night!
