3DS color survey.

Black is a darker color than aqua blue, so any scuff or smudge will show up better on it.

All of my other games and electronics (save a couple of my old Game Boys) are either black or white, so why break the pattern? Plus, I don't really like that shade of blue, and I especially dislike how it goes with black. Blue and black together remind me of like... bruises.

Smudges? Bah, whatever, they're not that bad. They don't get in the way of playing the games or anything.

And apparently the 3DS is made of some different material that makes it easier to wipe the smudges clean, than say, the DS Lite.

The DSi top screen was made of a different material. The Black DS Lite got really smudgy, but the DSi was not smudgy.

D: Well, I like that color of blue, so even if the 3DS was made out of that texture that feels grainy instead of polished, I'd still get the blue.

if thats the case just get a yellow one, the color will be so offensive no one will notice the scratches.

I wish they had multiple colours, but knowing nintendos lazy cheap skate streak they won't. Purple,orange or lime green 3DS

I like that blue, too. I'm also a bit tired of seeing colorless devices.

The black DSi doesn't show smudges but it DEFINITELY still shows dirt, scratches, and just about anything else aesthetically displeasing more.

My white DS lite has nasty dirt stuck in the casing that is more visible because of the lightness. Black would have been better for that.

Anyway I don't think these things are much of a big deal. Everyone should just get whichever colour looks nicest prettiest to them.

My one fear with the layer cake design is that the seam of the two botom pieces will gather dirt.

I already have a Red/Black DS Lite, so I'm going with Blue.

I'd kill for a lime green one. Guess I'll have to wait, or mod one. =S Not getting a 3DS for another year anyways.
