lightning sheilding...
This was a fun one. I had alot of fun making the texture of the sheild, which i think i am getting the hang of finaly. Using motions and actions to create it helps alot i think, and i am glad you sugested that in making the spines of the sheild.
I did it on a day we were to have a storm, of course, and i belive i started it as the rain began to fall. I built up the glowing yellow sheild, which had some traces of green in it for some odd reason, and told it to protect me from the storm. As i made each spine i felt the energy shiftinf, chaneling out the fear of working within storms, and filling it with energy from the storm.
When i was done, i felt safe. Even more odd, i could feel the pulsing of energy as each bolt struck the earth. It was a pritty awing experience. That day a bolt came outside my grandparents back yard, and hit less than 5feet away from us. Me and my mom were the only ones to see this, and we bursted into imediate laughter, not knowing what else to do. It was actually quite comical. But i only once felt unsafe, and that was it...^_^

The ultimate dorm room plants:
We have recently been hit with the edge of hurricane Ike. Not much damage, a lot of rain, but no flooding from what I've seen but lots of fallen branches from the high winds. So I went for a walk, collected some fallen twigs with nice leaves and took them up to my room where I removed the labels from empty bottles, put a bit of water in them, stuck the twigs in and placed them around my little desk.
^_^ really cheap, but a nice touch I think. And now it feels a bit more nature-y.
Oh, I don't know if this is relevant, but the other day, someone got hit by a bus outside my dorm. They were taken to the hospital in an ambulance and I haven't heard anything else. I saw the scene from a window so I knew where it happened. Then, a few days later, I was walking by that area without even thinking about it because I was going to meet a friend. A feeling of some sort, it is kind of hard to describe, made me turn my head to look at the street. I found myself looking at the place where the person got hit. Could it be that the energy working has made me more sensitive to other energies around?

Odins Raven Not really completly on topic, but a bit ago, I was working in my sculpture class and I was helping a classmate hold her large metal piece while she welded it. She had it grounded and everything but even though it was, afterwords my hands felt very prickly, the same pricklyness I had felt when my hands were seeming to soak up windy energy and the prickly of when I make the energy balls ^_^ Oh, random, but my sister had a baby this morning ^_^ I am now a first time aunt!
Oh, wow... Now I feel like my thunder was stolen ^_^" I was an aunt for the first time on the 23rd of september. Congratulations! Were you there?
Um, I haven't worked with energy that much, but I will just say tiny improvements.
Before this class, I was much friendlier with Fire element since it was familiar and I'd felt a connection. Lately though, I'll find myself trying hard to get along with Water and Earth. (Wind I'll always have a soft spot for plus it's so hard to be nice and friendly too. (I always thank the wind for a breeze since it's always been comforting like lifting my thoughts or lightening my heart, hard to explain fully.))
Earth is growing on me (pun not intended) and at one point I was sure I'd made an energy type plant. (I'll explain later) Water on the other hand always feels the same, even though baths, swimming and soaking all relax me. But it isn't the same. Water just doesn't get that bubbling little-girl excitement and happiness that the others do. Is there any way to work on those bonds without losing touch with Fire?
Okay, this energy plant.
I was in the hall at school and there was an assembly, which was pretty boring plus I don't like the teacher who was talking. So, I was leaning back and I felt my hot swirlish energy building in my hand. Smiling to myself and thinking of a challenge, I imagining a seed, which grew slowly, and escaped through my fingers, picturing the roots wrapping up my arm and fingers while plunging into the earth. It was really cool I actually felt the plant, as though that was what I'd be like as a plant. A Fire-Flower grew at the top, and I can still see it, like a carnation but more spread out and reaches out further. I couldn't experiment any further since I felt the drain so I had to stop. So I just hoped you'd like what I discovered.
