*Nai continues to act as a sprinkler system and then catches the reflection of the sun off some water suspended mid-air and points towards it. She pulls a scroll from her robes even though she knows it's useless without the incantation and hopes Shiny's spear reaches to where the water floats. *
Shiny then tries to slice the creature, hoping that its blood wasn't invisible so that when the sand fell off she could still see where the creature is. As she engages the creature she also leads it towards the sandy area so that she can watch the footprints of where the creature is.
Using her previous knowledge of fighting such creatures to her advantage, hoping Nai wouldn't think she was just a blundering fool who rushed into any fight. Showing she does know quite a bit about on-the-spot fighting tactics.*Nai watches helplessly as Shiny flashes through the courtyard towards the aberration in the spraying plumes of water. Her first cut strikes just under the water where the heart of a creature would be and the clanging sound of metal hitting metal jarred Nai's ears* MMNNNNRRR *Nai tries to scream as Shiny chases the monster onto the sand because footprints form, running quickly across it. She has to think quickly so she reaches into her robes for an disenchant spell and fiercely thrusts the sleeve of her robe into the fountain. Nai dabs the scroll carefully with water, covering all the ancient symbols, and presses it to her throat.* IT IS WEARING ARMOR! *Nai runs after Shiny, too far behind to catch up to the strong warrior who, speeding after an invisible target, is a lot more calculating and agile than Nai realized*
Shiny watches as the creature's form starts to come into view from the sand and moves to the defensive so she can learn her opponent and find its weaknesses and flaws in the armor. Shiny knew this would not be an easy battle, just hoping she would come out of this alive since she would have to keep flinging sand so that she can see this creature...*With her voice restored Nai frantically shuffles through her scrolls, racking her brain for something that could help Shiny. Whirlwind? No, that would hinder shiny as much as the monster.* Think Nai, think! *She mutters to herself, clenching her fists. Nai finally decides that even though her disenchant scroll is ruined the ink is still on her neck. She extracts a piece of blank parchment and presses it to her neck, hoping for the best* Please let this work. *Nai removes the scroll and is delighted to see that even though the ink is smudged, she can still make out the letters* Amhairghin Glúngheal! *Naioka speaks forcefully and as the last syllable escapes her lips, the monster becomes visible* Holy crap Shine! cat_eek *Nai gasps as the monster they are now staring at is towering above Shiny in the sand and has stopped running. The 7 foot tall figure is wearing glistening steel armor and as it turns toward Shiny, it draws it's blade* |

Looking back to her opponent or, at least what she could see of the opponent, she soon stars fling sand up with her spear on the flat of the blade so that she covers the entire creature.
Shiny watches as the creature's form starts to come into view from the sand and moves to the defensive so she can learn her opponent and find its weaknesses and flaws in the armor. Shiny stared up at the creature in awe and swallowed nervously before returning to the defensive. Alright, I need to be quick and wait for an opening...
Shiny examines the creatures armor looking for that weak spot. She then somersaults past her opponent to get a look at it's backside to find any weaknesses there before the creature turned around. Staying light on her feet had never been a problem for her, but handling giants are a different story indeed...
Staying the defensive and dodging, Shiny waits for an opening in the creature's defense and launches forward stabbing the creature in the weak spot under the arm and moves just as quickly to get out of reach. |

Shiny took a moment to regain her senses, hoping she would recover in time. Looking around, dazed she finally finds where her spear had flown and grabs it. Shiny sees the creature starting to bear down on her again as she tries to regain her footing.

SHINY *Nai plunges the dagger into the seam between the curiass and helmet where skin is exposed. In addition to the slice underneath the arm, the monster now has a dagger protruding from its neck.*

Naioka AgentShiny Shiny was unable to get out of the way quickly enough, taking the full force of the blow. Luckily enough she got her blade down in time to not get cleaved in half. She was launched through the air, smashing into the hedge wall, getting knocked senseless.
Shiny took a moment to regain her senses, hoping she would recover in time. Looking around, dazed she finally finds where her spear had flown and grabs it. Shiny sees the creature starting to bear down on her again as she tries to regain her footing.

DON'T *She leaps forcefully into the air, the giant still focused on Shiny*
HURT *Nai lands on the Giants back and shoulders, gaining it's attention*
MY *She raises her dagger into the air*
SHINY *Nai plunges the dagger into the seam between the curiass and helmet where skin is exposed. In addition to the slice underneath the arm, the monster now has a dagger protruding from its neck.*
Umm.... uh-oh *Nai hadn't fully thought this through and closes her eyes and the giant takes the butt of his sword in his good hand and drives it into her face. Nai falls to the ground, motionless.*
Shiny watches as Nai's body falls to ground and yells out "NOOOOO!" With that Shiny's aura starting pulsating dangerously as it enveloped her entire body with a blinding light. Shiny knew that since she was now in a full rage there was nothing that could stop her until she was dead. "Deflect this..." Shiny said in a deadly threatening tone. With that she jumped high into the air and beat her wings to fly higher into the air. Positioning her spear to where it was high above her head she soon flipped back down towards the giant, spear leading the way as she brought her wings in like a falcon starting to spin. Twirling faster and faster towards the ground using her momentum like a drill, Shiny drove through the giant with the giant's innards flying about wildly until she had gone all the way through the giant.
Shiny soon came out of her rage and became dizzy as hell from the move she had just performed, she fell over with her spear falling and rolling away from her. Shiny lay there in a daze for a moment as the world stopped spinning she soon jumped up and rushed over to where Nai was. Oh god please don't be dead! Shiny got down on her knees next to Nai, inspecting her, trying to get a response out of her. "Nai! Talk to me please! Nai!" |

Shiny held Nai tightly and in the most relieved voice ever, "Oh god I'm glad you're okay...I thought I lost you..." After sometime Shiny's sense of their current situation came back to reality and she cleared her voice, "I think I'm going to jump into that fountain and somewhat clean off the blood..." She reluctantly lets go of Nai and hops into the fountain cleaning off the blood and wondering if the stains will ever come out of her clothes... |

Naioka AgentShiny Naioka *Nai's ears flicker faintly and her eyes open wearily. Unaware of her surroundings, she looks dreamily into Shiny's beautiful eyes for a moment, content with the world. Her eyes finally wander to the blood smeared all over Shiny and they snap open wide.* cat_eek Are you okay? *Nai sits up quickly and catches sight of what remains of the giant.* Oh thank god. I thought that was your blood! cat_sweatdrop *Nai embraces Shiny, ignoring the bits of flesh and gallons of blood coating her* heart *Nai remains seated on the ground, legs outstretched, with a confused look on her face* What the $%&# did you do to that monster? Shiny? *Nai gets up and staggers over to the pile of carnage that used to be the giant.* How am I supposed to find my dagger in this mess?
*Nai turns around to address Shiny and stops, awestruck at the sight of a drenched Shiny bathing in a fountain*
Shiny finishes scrubbing off the blood and trying to as much blood out of her clothes as she could before climbing out of the fountain. Drenched, she starts to wring the water out of her clothes. Looking over at Nai Shiny blushed at the way she was looking at her and nervously said, "What? Oh, I kinda used my spear as a self-propelled drill...Your dagger is probably somewhere near where the head flew...I have no idea where..."
