By "alternative Christians" I mean, those who believe that Christ is our savior, but also have piercings, tattoos, and even mohawks. I am, I suppose, considered an "alternative Christian". I have tattoos, piercings, and oddly dyed hair. However, I love the Lord more than anything, and everything. I read my Bible everyday, and I pray every night. It is pretty annoying when people judge me based on my appearances. Not even just myself, but when others who look different are judged.
Also, yes, I am aware that The Bible says not to modify our body in any way. However, would this not apply to simple ear piercings? Or make-up? Or plastic surgery? I believe it does.
We all fall short of the glory of God. But must we be judged by our own peers for not "looking Christian?"
What is your opinion on this matter?

Kuroi Kokoro no Mendori Romans 14:1-4. Also, please quote the verse that says not to modify your body in any way.
Quote: Romans 14 Principles of Conscience Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions. One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
Relevance?
Also: What verse?
Finally, there is no such thing as "looking Christian". Christians often come from all walks of life, and have all sorts of appearances.

It really doesnt matter to me really. It doesnt matter what you look like, but your right people judge you by it and I find that wrong, even though I know I do it myself. I know I judge people by their apperances but, I really wish I wouldn't, because it doesnt matter what you look like on the outside.
