As a reminder, spectral pets are familiar-level intelligence, meaning they are smarter than a very smart dog and can communicate ably (non-verbally, via body language etc.) with their owners. They can also be trained to perform tasks. They are semi-incorporeal, which means they can pass through thin barriers, and they float/fly effortlessly.
Spectral pets can be bred to their tangible counterparts (including sea turtles to turtles, or any allowable hybrids). The resulting offspring may be on either or both templates, or may be on the tangible templates but exhibit transparency or glowing eyes.
Spectral pets in the shape of species-specific familiars are available to all Kin, but these pets (cheetahs, sand dogs created from spectral hound hybrids, giant bats, and eagles) carry a special property that may be revealed soon...
Please check the thread to make sure the pet you're claiming hasn't already been found! Once you are triple sure that you're the first to locate it, you can go ahead and take it to the certing thread to make it official.
