Mechanics for WP07: Cleanup This prompt takes the form of an ORP! The Battle of the Tribes has ended, and for the most part Kin have been respectful of their surroundings, leaving things as untouched as possible. But in the wake of such a large gathering there is bound to be a mess--food scraps to clean up, churned-up clay flats to be stomped down, streams redirected and dams dismantled in the wake of efforts to keep the festivities well-watered, seeds planted in wrecked thickets and mounds and stages rebuilt. Luckily, some Kin have stayed behind to assist in the cleanup efforts. With a little bit of teamwork and focus, this area of the Swamp is sure to be restored to its normal beauty in no time. MECHANICS: The clearing and surrounding areas have a combined 600 Mess Points (MP) Your Kin can clean up 1d10 MP at a time. This is an ORP that will take place in THIS thread.
Roll 1d10 to determine how many MP you have cleaned. At the bottom of your post put the current MP in BOLD RED. Only after doing this, go back and edit your RP into your post.
Example: The person above me has posted that the clearing currently has 517 MP. I roll 1d10 and deal 6 MP of damage. I edit my post to include 511 MP in bold red, save it, and then go back in to edit my post and add my RP.
Feel free to RP as much as you like in and outside of your actual dice rolls, but please quote one another to keep track as it might get a bit messy (/rimshot), as ORPs tend to do!
You may not roll twice in a row. Let someone else go first! Additionally, for the first three OOC days the prompt is up, there is a limit of 5 rolls per Kin per day, but if the mess remains undefeated by the end of day three, this limit is lifted!
If the mess is defeated in under 36 OOC hours, special prizes will be awarded! Recruit your friends!
ADDITIONALLY: It seems like Never-Idle's prize-awarding staff was a little bit lax... If you roll two 10s quote Rejam with both posts and you'll discover a leftover Battle of the Tribes prize--a butterfly, a feather, a stone, or some other goodie! These prizes will have the same IC benefits as the official Battle of the Tribes prizes.
When you've finished the prompt and have a minimum of 500 words, post in the STICKY THREAD with the name of the prompt (WP07 - Cleanup) and a link to the thread. You can use a link to that post as an RP requirement for Legendary or other RP-related tasks! All participants in the RP must reach word count individually, and post the completed thread individually. One Kin per player please, at least as far as the dice go. Feel free to RP others.

[ as the sun burns | word count : 235 ]
A sigh of relief seemed to flow through the swamp as the sun set on yet another exciting tale. Ah, the Battle of the Tribes, what a wonderful story! As he walked, Watch mentally retold its entirety to himself, fixing the details, the tastes, the smells, the sounds, all of it into his mind. At the next gathering, he would have to be sure that everyone who had missed the festivities could relive it in tale.
A new weight seemed to have fallen upon the tired shoulders of the half-Kiokote, both physically and mentally. In reality, the white-feathered remains of a once glorious crane draped across his shoulders, her small head brazen with a spot of red. With it had come a responsibility of sorts. He had meant it as a game, something to test his worth, make his name memorable. Now he was the Crane and, while it worried him some, the honor nestled itself in him like, well, a bird in its nest.
Red hooves, dull and well worn by endless travels, almost shimmered under the thin vein that was the small river he waded through. Smiling softly, his eyes distant and thoughtful, he skimmed debris from the water and laid it ashore so that he may collect and dispose of it later. After all, he wasn't just a story teller now, but maybe, perhaps, a character in a story of its own.

A totoma, also, was sullenly plodding around, helping to clean up the detritus of the gathering. While he hadn't won any of the events, he did, at least, bear the mark of having participated in one - the fluttering remains of an orange butterfly, an indignity he suffered with great patience.
That he had come to this event seeking his name, he decided to tell no one. Something about a wolf, a noble hunter, would have been a fine name indeed, but to bear the name of a feeble and delicate insect was a fate he would not contemplate.
Still, the thing was a prize he had earned, and, admittedly, looked rather fetching on him. It brought out his eyes.
With great deliberation, he set himself to smoothing away the hoofprints in the soft earth.
