The mouse squeaked, flailing as Jalaja held it up by the tail, scrutinizing it. She stared at it as it squeaked more, waving its little paws about helplessly, and with a smile, she set it down, watching as it started to scurry for its life.
It didn't get far.
With a swoop of her tail, the mouse was gone, her snake end already flicking its tongue with a content look as she watched the lump in its throat go down. Even with that little entertainment aside, Jalaja found herself quite bored. Maybe there would be some students around she could play a prank on. Yes, that would be much more fun.

Bright gold eyes scanned the vicinity, trying to pinpoint a victim. No, too timid. Too noisy. MUCH too serious. She frowned, wondering if this was a lost cause, when she heard a hiss. She turned to see her tail end pointed up, seeming to see something in the trees, and when she saw what it was looking at, her lips curled into a sly smile. Yes, he'd do just fine.
Her animal instinct taking over, she slinked towards the tree, eyes never leaving her prey. He may have been asleep, but she still took precaution, pausing a moment before sinking her claws into the tree and began to climb up.
When she was close enough to the branch where the boil slept, she swung her legs over, shaking the branch as she landed. That should be enough to wake him up.

The sudden fear in his eyes made her grin, and it only widened as she saw him trying to turn invisible, only to have his stripes still remain. Ah, a ghost type. Judging from his size and ability, she reasoned he wasn't that good at phasing yet, which would only make it easier for her to toy with him. And if he ran, well, that would only make it more exciting.
However, when he spoke, she only frowned. A "who are you?" or "what are you doing here?" would have made more sense. What an odd boil. "I believe you've answered your own question."

There were a lot of teeth. A lot. More teeth than he should be able to fit into his head. When she let go Carlos turned and twisted like a corpse falling spread eagle on his face. The reality was it was the simple cat fall designed to lessen the impact of the landing from a height, but it looked rather painful. Carlos was fine though. Carlos had received similar treatment from his siblings before. He just lay there looking like a mess for a long moment and then two as he gathered up the effort to actually lift his head and look at her, still wearing the grin.
"What has 9 lives? What has a grin made of cheese? What is black and blue with stripes all over? Carlos the Cheshire cat!" he let out a small mew and his tail picked up and waved about.
It occurred to him for a moment, just for a moment, that he should run. But that would require getting up and getting up took effort and he was already down here. Instead he just turned a little more invisible, his grin staying, standing out clearer against his partially faded form. His stripes were also there as if solid; despite his best efforts, he was pretty easy to see.
"What has the horns of a goat, the claws of a lion and the venom of a snake," he paused a moment. "and likes to drop kittens from trees?" he added. Mmm maybe he should have left off the last bit, it was better without. Hummm, certainly not his best riddle.
[A.V.] That would take effort. Too lazy.

Had she known what he was thinking, she might have gagged. Even his stare was creeping her out. "That wasn't a compliment." she hissed. What a weird boil.
Still, at least it didn't seem like he was trying to run away, and while she hated to admit it, being around him made her infinitely less bored, even though she'd rather be causing Jiten grief right now. A moment passed as she still sat there, crossing her arms, wondering if he was going to do any other freaky thing, but when he didn't move, she huffed. "What, you're just going to go back to sleep?"

I ship it.
She hadn't expected him to answer her, but for him to answer him AND actually go through with it... she had to admit he had some guts. She watched as he floated over to another tree and climbed up, deciding to settle down and sleep.
Oh. So he thought she was just going to leave it like that, was he? Creepy or not, she disliked being ignored, and so, she watched, waiting... and when his eyes closed, she shifted into her natural form, noting that her weight was making the branch bend, but she wouldn't be here long.
Digging her claws into the trunk, she climbed a bit higher, finding a thick study branch to make a quick dash, leap...
and then she pounced on Carlos, the added weight of her chimera form making the branch snap and sending the two hurtling to the ground.
phantompanther13 Sorry for the wait! Won't be able to tag back until after April ><
