HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
That's what the banner across the front of Candy Dandy's Edible Arrangements said, with neatly drawn bats and pumpkins filling in the empty spaces. In front of the shop were draped decorations all celebrating the spooky All Hallows Eve. Bats hung from the eves, and pumpkins carved with silly faces were sprawled out in the grass alongside the building. Bushes were covered with spider webs, and if one looked closely, glow in the dark spiders could be seen sitting in the cottony webs.
Inside, the room was similarly decorated with colors of orange, black and purple. With a little green to add a certain touch. Streamers wrapped the tables and chairs, and the confections case was filled with cookie ghosts and scone bats. On top of the table next to the cash register was a giant bowl of punch, and next to it, an equally as large bowl of candy.
Candy had decided that this Halloween, she wanted to throw a big party to celebrate! Games, food, and a chance for her to show off her basket making skills to those who had yet to see it. It was a win-win!
The mare herself had on a simple costume. She was a dog complete with floppy ears attached to a headband, and paw shaped boots. She worse a brown jumper that zipped up the front, and she pinned a brown tail to her own short pink one. A little face paint for her nose and ta da! Puppy Time!
In contrast, Maple Bar was dressed as pony, and not all too please about having to wear a hat with pony ears and a fluffy mass on her backside to make a pony tail. She shivered and shook, and Candy gently bopped her on the head.
"Now behave." she said, and Maple Bar looked at her pleadingly. Her eyes softened, and she took one hoof out of her paw shoe to scratch Maple's head under the hat.
"It's only for a little while. And think of how much fun the kids will have?" she said, and Maple's sides heaved with a sigh. But her tail wagged nonetheless.
Candy rushed back inside to make sure everything was all set. Then she flicked on the lights. Orange and purple string lights flickered on, leading up to a tree trunk that she had wrapped them around to give the whole area in front of her shop and eerie glow.
The mare rushed back outside and viewed her work with glee. Halloween Commence!

WHAT THIS IS!
This is just an ORP that I thought would be really fun. Give people a chance to dress up their phonies and possibly learn to elements! There is nothing contest wise or rp wise I am thinking specifically. Just have fun!
DO YOU WANT TO HELP?
Are you an Old Enough Phony that wants to help out? You are welcome to! I deliberately left the outside imagery vague in case anyone wanted to set something up! Does your phony sell potions? Or run a pumpkin pie eating contest? Perhaps they just tell scary stories that frighten the young ones? You guys are more than welcome to design up a stall or table and join in! Maybe just post what kind of stall you have open in bold, and I can add it to the first post? Then everyone will know who has what activity!
NEED AN ELEMENT?
Well this could give you a location to get that pesky element you have been searching for! If you want to get an element, plot something out! Bring them in! Share your candy or comfort someone who is scared! Candy Dandy is always available for element rp, and here is no exception!
Feel free to take liberties when describing activities. Even if no one has decided to open an activity/booth, they can still be there! Need a bobbing for apples station for your enjoyment? POOF! There it is!
So...yeah! That's all I have for you! Enjoy!

A party? There would be an Aftermath. And there was! Dressed as a green plumber Afterparty Aftermath was THERE. Granted, he was hoping to make friends and not get stomped on and maybe get to stay a bit late to clean after and have a nice time but there was also snacks and candies and maybe even a few tricks!
His own trick was the rubber fake vomit he planned to pull on someone.
A classic to be sure.

Oh her first visitor! Candy clapped her pawed hooves together with glee. The youngin was dressed as a green plumber, and she trotted over to him, saying "Welcome to my Halloween Party! I hope you have a lot of fun and eat a lot of candy!" That as her job. To fill foals up with sweets and send them back to their parents. Maple wanted to greet the foal too. She barked and wagged her pony tail, bouncing around Aftermath with joy.

At the sound of a party reaching his ears, Bebop was immediately energized. His first Halloween in Phonyland and there was already a party for all the phonies. He threw on his vampire cape, some starched cuffs and some fake vampire teeth and he was ready. He looked in the mirror but something was wrong. His costume was complete. He even added a bit of face paint to look like he was dripping blood from his mouth. His mane! It was floppy and normal. With a bit of gel, he slicked his mane back. He looked like a phony Dracula. Perfect.
Arriving to the party, he knocked on the door of the shop with a hoof. He'd hate to burst in during a game or without the host knowing how many phonies had arrived to the party. He didn't have any spooky snacks to bring and cooking something would surely become a disaster. Instead, he brought over a classic spooky tunes record, hoping that Candy Dandy had a gramophone.

Candy heard a knock on her door and left Maple Bar to play with Aftermath while she answered it. Bebop was standing on her porch dressed as a vampire. She squealed an said "Oh how wonderful! Another guest! Hi there! I'm Candy Dandy!" She ushered her new guest in with a hoof. "I'm so glad you could make it!"

Afterparty was all for the snacks and being stuffed full of them. The hostess and her companion were greeted with a wide toothed grin followed by- "TRICK OR TREAT CAN I PLEASE HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT? IF I CANT I DON'T CARE, I HEAR THERE IS A PARTY AROUND 'ERE!" He was so proud to have adapted the song. So proud. A tiny bounce in his trot he held out a tiny pail that had been hooked onto his 'utility belt' before looking to Maple and getting even more excited about what was to come. A dog was a sign- Only cool fun people had dogs. However the arrival of one Ponycula gathered his attention, pail dropped in favor of pulling out a small handkerchief from a pocket on his costume and offering it to him. "Mister, you got some red on you!"

"I'm pretty certain that was intentional," a monotone voice called from behind Bebop. Peering around the vampire phony into Candy Dandy's shop was a foal decorated in vermilion paper scales, each hoof ending in a clawed glove. His paper mask, also covered in scales, did not conceal the mild irritation expressed in yellow-gold eyes. "It's supposed to represent blood."
Frowning at the dog as it entered his vision, Hard Truths regarded it uncertainly. "Candy...since when have you had a pet?"

Candy saw Truths and smiled. She wasn't sure if the foal participated in these kinds of things, so it was nice to see him out and about. They could have some real fun tonight! She regarded Maple Bar with love as the dog waggled itself over to greet the new guests. "Oh Maple? I actually found her not too long ago. Poor thing was all dirty and hungry!" She recalled that day when it had rained, and she had heard a whining outside her backdoor. There was tiny Maple, covered head to tail in muck and looking just so sad..."She won't hurt'cha." she assured the vermilion colt, patting the dog on the head.

Indeed, Truths usually wouldn't have been one to participate in a candy-collecting, costume-wearing holiday, but even if he himself didn't eat candy, he owed a lot of other phonies in the past for various things and deeds. Candy could have been one way to pay them back. Of course, Candy Dandy herself was one of those phonies he owed and he wasn't about to repay her with her own candy, but it was still nice to see her. And on a holiday such as this, where candy seemed to be the main meal, he figured her place would be a good place to start.
He was not at all disappointed. "Why am I not surprised that your place seems like the most festive on the block?" The colt offered the pink mare a crooked smirk before returning his attention to the creature she called 'Maple'. "Found her'?" he repeated. "I'd be careful if I were you...I just 'found' this orange jelly blob thing the other day and I think it's been stalking me since. Can't get rid of it. But I think I lost it for now."
As if to reassure himself, he glanced back over his shoulder, only to remember the book he'd brought with him. "Oh. I brought a book to tell scary stories from if anyone seems interested." He studied Maple once more. "Mm...I'm not afraid of her; I'll bet the orange jelly blob is more dangerous than she is. I just wonder how well she does around sweets if she lives with you. What if she eats something that makes her sick?"

Truths was right in thinking this would be a place to get candy to pay back debts. There were small bowls of it on each table sporting different kinds of the sweet treat. Halloween was, unsurprisingly, one of Candy's favorite holidays, so she celebrated with gusto. "I like your song!" She said to Afterparty, smiling. "Did you make up the new words yourself?" "I love Halloween!" she exclaimed, clapping her hooves together. "It's a chance to try out a new persona for a night! And get lots of treats to last until Christmas!" She looked back at Maple. An orange blob? That didn't sound like a pet. "You found an orange jelly blob? And it moves?" She was curious, and decided one of these days she would have to visit Truths at home so she could see this jelly blob thing. "Luckily Maple is just a dog. She has learned that if it is on the counter, she can't have it. Or if it smells like chocolate, she shouldn't eat it." It took a decent amount of training to get the point across, but she had finally learned. "But if it falls on the ground, you can be sure she will go after it!" "A story book! How fun!" she said, eyeing the book with excitement. "We will definitely have to break that out here soon!"

When Shrill X arrived at the party she was already in a bad mood. Her Big Bad Wolf costume was a complete mess. One ear was hanging by a thread, there was a big tear down the middle, mud everywhere and the tail was long gone, lost somewhere along the way. Shrill X, her cheeks puffed out in anger, stomped into the party and straight past everyone, heading straight for the candy table.

With the party starting to fill up, Candy was overflowing with excitement. This was turning into quite the shindig! Her excitement fizzled into curiosity when a green haired filly stomped into the party, looking worse for wear and none too happy about it. With her attention on the sweets table, Candy inched her way over to the foal before saying "Well, don't you look great! Are you a stray dog?" she asked in innocence, completely unaware of the plight that overtook Shrill X.

Shrill X had just shoved a pile of gummi bears in her mouth and was chewing furiously when Candy Dandy came over. The question, as innocent as it was, was not appreciated and the youngster might have giving a more scathing reply if she hadn't had her mouth full. As it was, she only gave a mumbled and grumpy, "no" in reply.

Oh dear. Well she wasn't very good at guessing. And the filly didn't seem to be in a very good mood. She stared at the top of the foal's head, perplexed. Did something bad happen recently? She didn't really want to pry, but the anger practically radiated off of her. "Oh? Well hmmm, I don't know what you are then! Say, are you alright? You seem to be a little down." She didn't mention the heavy intake of gummi bears as a sign of annoyance as well.
