Hey, BKers! Hope you're having a wonderful Christmas.

I wanted to personally apologize for not hosting a Secret Santa this year. Being that I work full time and I'm very busy with family and friends, the whole thing just sort of slipped my mind. If you all want, we can certainly have a gift party for New Year's or something similar. Just say the word.

And now, without further ado, here is my obligatory gift list!

I got:

- A change purse made out of potato chip bags (it's awesome)
- A $15 iTunes gift card
- A cocktail shaker (from Mea, no less)
- A bartender's guide book (from Mea, no less)
- A box of salted chocolate caramels (Mea just knows me way too well)
- A new pair of pajamas with moose on them ("I moose wake up" is on it)
- A coupon for a free facial
- An "Of Monsters And Men" CD
- Lots of candy and peppermints!

Finally, I got my biggest present, a refurbished Asus laptop. Unfortunately, it was completely borked when I got it, so I'll have to mail it into a center to get it serviced. Kind of a bummer to get a dud present, but hey, it's Christmas, and I enjoy the day for more than just the gifts.

What did you get for Christmas? What are your plans for the day? What is your favorite part about the holiday?

Special "Bah, humbug" tag for Nips! Merry Christmas, everyone! heart

Every time I pop back onto Gaia for a bit after a year or so of being gone, it amazes me [in a good way] that the BK is still up-and-running.

Hey, guys. Jolly Snowflake Day to you all.

This was probably the best Christmas ever.

I got a lot of nice things.
My boyfriend bought me some jewelry and
an owl plushie that looks like Hedwig.

My family got me art supplies and a few
other odds and ends, including socks that
aren't supposed to match! A very good
idea for someone like me who often loses
socks.

This was definitely the happiest Christmas
I have ever had.

I also saw the Hobbit! It was MAGICAL.

P.S.
HI DOOM.

Theodra, I have heard sooooo many mixed reviews from all my friends, whether they're big Tolkien fans or not. I ask you, is it worth seeing it in theaters?

HEY DOOOOOOOM

For Jesusday I got a pair of PJ pants, (SUPER COMFY) a sweater (SUPER WARM) and an oil/acrylic painting of the TARDIS that my friend Kylie painted for me. (SUPER TIMEY WIMEY)

Mike's stepmom sent us a package full of presents for the both of us from his entire family, but it got lost in the mail somewhere. It'll probably show up eventually. =/

Still have yet to see The Hobbit, but a friend of mine, who's a HUGE fantasy nerd, said it was fantastic.

This was, technically, the first christmas I had without my mom.
She came by and I got to see her a bit the week before for family get togethers and whatnot, but I was working during the week she came down, and she had already left by christmas day.

Not before giving me some presents, a lot of money from her and my stepfather and loooots of hugs. 3nodding

Lets see, let me think of what I got:

Money!

-A new tub stop, since we lost ours. Of course, my roommate went and got a really nifty one before christmas, so now we have two. xd
-Two corn butterers. Yeah, I didn't know these existed either. They're for when you eat corn on the cob! (which is my favorite food, btw)
-Purple sparkly makeup! (eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara, all purple!)
-Purple rhinestones!
-A big purple shag-style rug
-A new purple toothbrush. The exact one I bought myself about a month ago. lol
-Candy!
-Shower curtains that you can put in the wash! (I'm actually ridiculously excited by this. Our current curtains are all mildewy. xp )
-A new light bath robe. My last one was sacrificed to the glitter gods, and is now permanently in my burlesque bag.
-A bunch of different kinds of homemade jelly
-Slippers (I didn't have any, and my new place has reeeeally cold floors in the morning)
-Fuzzy Purple socks!
-Regular non-fuzzy black socks.

And other little things like nail clippers and a box chocolates. I'm so happy with what I got.

I felt it was worth it.
My parents liked it too.

I feel like movies are
much better on the
big screen, especially
fantasy films.

I still have to see it. I also have The Artist on DVD that I need to watch, so...yeah.

Hahaa... so many good gifts! I only did a small Christmas with my roomie, his girlfriend, his mom, and her boyfriend. I ended up getting a gorgeous sweater vest and scarf, and a silly little crown from party city (understand that I am in my roomie's phone as "The Hipster King" due to the fact that when we first met he had absolutely no knowledge of the music I listened to save for one or two things.) I got him Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Box-Set (with the poster) and his girlfriend the 16 movie Studio Ghibli DVD collection. Overall, successful Christmas. Hopefully, images of delicious sexyness I can deliver to you soonish. Also, sorry for vanishing over and over again. *shaaaame*

Hello, all! Know I'm a bit late, but thought I'd report my haul...a nice mixture of necessity to nerdery.

A $25 Etsy gift card (which I used to buy a River Song inspired charm bracelet)
Two $15 iTunes cards (one from my parents and one from a teacher I work with)
New boots (THAT ARE AWESOME)
Two Modcloth dresses
Pajamas that are adorable
Candy, of course
A snake bracelet (courtesy of Reeves)
A lotion set
A Hummingbird/music note necklace (how perfect is that, guys? Spirit animal meets one of my passions)
Cookies
A "tea"cher wreath from a student...too cute

And my nerdiness was fulfilled by...
A Tardis mug (courtesy of Reeves) WIBBLY WOBBLY TIMEY WIMEY
A Mockingjay pin (also courtesy of Reeves)
A sonic screwdriver (thanks to Reeves' girlfriend)
Tardis earrings and Eleven bow tie earrings

But honestly? Giving gifts was the best part. I was so excited for the things I got for my friends and family, and seeing that they liked them made it even better. For example, I was so nervous about my mom's gift...I got her a crafted book pin from Etsy because she's a library clerk...and she loved it. I love Christmas success!

That ice mold sounds magical.

Or, evil.

Whatever.
