~Terra Farland~ xxxTerra sighed, tossing a pebble down the side of the hill. This wasn't what she had expected when she took up adventuring. She wanted to see the world; she wanted adventure! She wanted... a place that felt like a home. Not like where she was from, but a real home. What she got instead was sitting around a tiny farming village out in the middle of nowhere. The problem always seemed to come down to the fact that no one wanted a frail little monster girl from some backwater village in their group. It wasn't like she was completely defenseless. She was a sorceress! She had destructive magic at her fingertips, and yet she was considered more a hindrance than a help.
xxxWas it a mistake leaving home? Things may have not been perfect there, hell, things had been very far from perfect. Living alone with her mother who always seemed to keep her at arms length, and the other villagers who varied from suspicious to outright bullying. What a small, oppressive world that had been, but what had she found out here? Now she was in some other small, backwater village, surrounded by strangers who were just as scared and suspicious as she'd ever seen, and to top it off, with the money she had, she wasn't going to be able to keep going much longer. If there was somewhere out there where she wouldn't feel like a complete outcast, she wasn't going to find it at this rate.
xxxWhat could she do? Was she doomed to be stuck in some tiny village, always under suspicion, and never belonging? What kind of life was that?

> Von <
A short, black haired young man strolled into the small farming town, he wore a deep violet hued robe, coming down to his ankles, but wrapping around only his left arm, reminiscent of a toga, the single arm of the robe coming down to his wrist. He had a backpack on, a brown leather belt, with a spell pouch on it. His hair was longer than most, hanging down to his waist, and he had striking blue eyes the color of lightning.
The man's dress, though odd, did give enough of an impression to label him as a mage of some form, of which he was, a sorcerer in fact. As he walked into the town, many of the towns folk looked on, staring at the odd looking young mage, with his odd looking dress. He could be described as beautiful, not handsome, however, but beautiful, in an exotic way, as all of his race was.
The farming town was certainly small, much smaller than a big city full of people, as he was used to, but yet as he wandered about, he couldn't help but notice a few things, namely how exclusively small the little village was, along with the fact that there were ruins scatted about just past the village, a very odd thing he believed. But what could he say? He was naturally curious.

~Terra Farland~ xxxFrom her spot, Terra could spot a bit of a commotion. At least, it looked like villagers all heading to one place to look at something. A visitor? Considering even one visitor, which she was, was an unusual event, a second completely unrelated visitor popping up had to be exceedingly unusual. The best part, though, was that it might be her ticket out of this place! Standing up, Terra headed down the hill and back into the village.
xxxTerra was dressed in rough, dirty clothes similar to what the other villagers were wearing. However, that did not mean she blended in. Terra bore pretty much all the visible markers a sylph can have. Her white hair kinked and twisted as if made of a living mist. Her body was covered in the swirling, flowing tattoo-like patterns that marked some sylph. It was not easy to conceal what she was, and she didn't seem to be trying. As she reentered town, Terra adjusted her backpack, making sure her bedroll wasn't loose. She wanted to see this new visitor, and who knows, maybe they would be her ticket out of here.

As he walked around, seeing the sights of this depressingly small little village, he couldn't help but notice a crowd was starting to form around him, plenty of onlookers of all shapes and sizes.. it was very unsettling for him to be the center of attention.
The further he walked, the more and more he felt watched, and the quicker his stride became as he continued on, never reaching a run, but definitely elongating his stride in a uncomfortable manner to increase agility as his anxiety only riled itself up further, until he found a small opening in the crowd, and fled through it, going out of the town and gasping for breath, he noticed someone, a single individual, coming towards the town from a nearby hillside.

This is kinda why I wanted you all to make an introduction post and NOT a starter post. I mean, sweet jesus. All I wanted was a post of your BACKGROUND. Like, look at Storms and Scales. They did it correctly. No lollygagging through the damn woods or "Commotion" when there aren't and isn't any. <_<
Anyways, as Von begins to run through the town, the sheriff scoops down to pick him up when he gets near Terra. Smirking, she says "And what has you so spooked, Von?" Motioning for Terra to come hither, she says "Well, if you lot are having some free time, I wouldn't mind using your services again." Looking around, she adds "As soon as that flippant scout Sebastian returns. I'll explain the details then. Keep an eye out for him, will you?
(Worth noting: None of you would be familiar with the sheriff, town or surrounding area)

Von bit back a yelp as he was suddenly scooped up, feeling rather awkward and confused by this sudden mess. Once the sorcerer squirmed free of the woman's grip, he got onto his feet, and moved in position to face both her and the white haired girl who had approached. What was this woman talking about? He was so confused, he'd never met these people before in his life.
And, if his life in the cities had taught him one thing, it was that no matter what, you should never show your hand. If he wanted to learn what was going on, he'd have to pretend he already knew. "You know me." he said, talking to this woman who apparently did know him. "I just don't really like crowds, but why don't you just tell us? I don't mind filling Sebastian in when he gets here." he said, giving an innocent smile.
(rolling 1d20+7 for bluff, and 1d20+3 for gather info.*edit* ... pitiful.. just pitiful... 3+7=10 bluff, and 3+3=6 gather info. )
