okay there is this girl who used to be catholic and joining the muslim faith which i dont really care or bother me that much because i dont even know her , but she posted this site to let people read about the women rights in the bible and it is all bull---- to me ! would anyone here give a clear explantion and also with verses to clear things more about women rights in Christiainity !

We just went over this stuff a few chapters ago in Bible class, stinks that I don't have my notes with me now. But women are not lesser, men just have more responsablility to higher authorities due to being head of the house. And all that jazz. Where are my notes when I need them...

The site is an example of radical muslims who are distorting Christianity. Funny thing is Islam is the most controlling and sexiest religion there is.

the one scripture reference that i saw first thing i knew that that was when the men wanted to stone the woman for commiting adultry they were hopeing that jesus would falsify his own teachings and he told them that everyone is a sinner and her sin is no greater or lesser than any of thiers and they all knew that this is true... jesus told her to go and sin no more

and i dont think any of us here believe that adultry and pornography is at all justifiable... but we all sin and Jesus forgives all who seek forgivness

what is up with them saying that what? we allow people to commit adultry no way man that site just really pissed me off sorry every thing they stated about us christans was false we try to stop sin from happening but we also know that it is impposible to stop it and we also know that we are not the judge of those who sin because we have our own sin to clear up.

and the first thing about pornography was in the song of solomon which isnt a literal love letter from a man to a woman

it even says in chapter 4 verse 15 you are (<--) a garden fountain a well of flowing water streaming down from lebanon

the (you are) part in the actuall text it says I AM which is God as we know from the old testament God tells moses to tell them that I AM sent him.

and in most bibles it says that verse 4:15 with a little footnote that says it is actually I AM which means that this is all a love letter from God (Jesus)to us

That site is so ridiculous that I can't make it through more than maybe two items in detail. I read the "list", and I am simply amazed at the audacity of the author to claim such things.

Women are not worth less than men in the Bible, and anybody who says so has either not read it for him/herself or has misinterpreted.

you all bash these ideas and you fail to even look at what they say! Shame be upon you.

Yeah, the Bible has a pretty bad women's rghts track (deuter. 22:28-29, deuter. 25:11-12, 1 corinthians 14:34-35, to name a few). Yeah, women are basically treated as lower then men. and yes, you still get the short end of the proverbial stick in the new testament. All I can say is, sucks to be you. A woman's status is because of God cursing Eve (and all women) in genesis.

As for Son of Solomon. Dude, it's between a man and his wife. it's supposed to be rather sensual and 'x-rated'. The whole point of marriage is basically sex (1 Corinthians 1:1-9)
