I just wonder how some company could justify 10 sequels.

I see polls like "who won the debate?"

a) kerry
b) KERRY

That's not something I'd call intellegent or open minded.
xd
No offense intended, I just though that this was funny.

The events in the movies do happen during a period of time that did last millions of years =P ?

I can't really tell, because the last movie featuring a giant lizard that I've seen had King Gidorah in it >.> . I don't know what the hell "the land before time" saga is about; something tells me that it does make me a lucky person, though, so hooray! for me.

They did it, too. There was one where the entire Great Valley was covered in snow. And their cold-blooded cast was wandering around in it seemingly unaffected, except that their "green food" was impossible to find.

It blew my mind out one ear and back in the other that they even tried to depict the Ice Age, and then made it non-lethal for the dinosaurs. If that was what it was.

And Drakyn: Surely you jest? There were so very many toys as a result of Land Before Time, when it was still a good movie and not a series of very bad ones. Like the hand puppets you could get at Pizza Hut. Sure, it was no Transformers Energon ("Look, Optimus transformed into a mobile base! He's even got a helipad!") but as a kids' movie they knew they'd be selling licensed baby dinosaurs right and left.

That and marketing ten direct-to-video sequels is the modern equivalent to marketing a toy line concurrently with your feature.

Ahh, the Land Before Time. I still am incapable of telling the difference between the first movie and the seventh. So many a day has been wasted at afterschool watching that ******** movie.

I weep. >:[

I remember the first one. It came out when I was pretty young. Then like, ten years or something ridiculous after the fact they started all those sequels. I liked the first one when it came out. I even have the VHS they released at first. The others made me want to puke.

Oh, and Jyu, you can tell the difference easily. The first one was made when they still hand-painted cells, and didn't record on digital film. 3nodding

Same here. I wonder how it ends.... Mass starvation, or asteroid strike?
