I like to listen to The Birthday Massacre. Their music can be calming, or angry, or happy. There's lots of flavors in there, and it helps me put a lot of emotion into my artwork. biggrin

I like classical/instrumental stuff. I like it because not only does it have a mood, it doesn't have words.

Usually nu-metal while I'm drawing or photographing. The music puts me "in the zone"...otherwise, I'll listen to Jazz if I'm in an incredibly good mood.

Nu-metal and Jazz...what an interesting combo.

I usually listen to Industrial, death pop, punk rock, ebm, techno, and metal while drawing

but if i listen to a specific badn I get different moods. Say combichrist, kmfdm, and casualties I get violent moods

while lords of acid and rammstein makes me feel like a giant perv xD

I listen to a lot of different styles and a lot of different artists. I guess it depends on who I'm in the mood for at the time when I'm working.

For a long while I could only listen to either Within Temptation or Lacuna Coil while I was drawing or painting, as they were my inspiration for a lot of pieces.

Now I don't really know cause I haven't really drawn or painted lately...Last time I drew...Oh god I don't even remember...

Movie and video game soundtracks, weird old songs I used to like and haven't heard in a while, or whatever else I'm into.

I generally try to listen to something that matches the mood I'm writing. Instrumental stuff, a lot of the time, and then heavy metal and screamo the other half. Sometimes I just listen to stupid, funny songs.

Ghost in the Shell OST's, Inglorious Basterds soundtrack, and an instrumental verison of 'Iron Man' are my frequented songs recently. But usually I just listen to anything that puts me in the mood to draw. :3
