The Succubus Goddess sat in her temple, high above the world of Faetasia. Disgruntled, displeased, disappointed. Her children had run amok too long, doing as they pleased. Ignoring her.
Long fingernails tapped against an invisible arm rest as the Deity herself rested upon a pile of rather large pillows of crimson and gold trim. The tip of her tail lashed angrily back and forth as her beautiful face twisted into darkness and brooding. Even the attentions of her Angelique were only minute respites from her thoughts. Bright green eyes flicked towards a mirror that hummed, mist falling from it's silvery surface as visions of her children in Faetasia flashed across it.
She had had enough.
Lifting a golden chalice she hurled it at the mirror which shattered instantly only to reform whole once more but it's silvery surface was now black as the abyss. The Goddess snapped her fingers and suddenly all Succubi would find themselves drawn to her temple in Faetasia, willingly or no. And as the crowd of her children appeared they would see a larger than life vision of the Goddess herself before them. Not a physical form but one that suited her need.
But oh, oh she had such a plan for them.
"Too long you have run wild and free without consequence. Too long have you made a fool of me and yourselves. Scattering yourselves to the winds and laying with any man that may look at you with a smoldering glance." Pink lips curled at the corners as she stared at them all from up high. "That ends now. And you shall ALL pay tribute to me. With your lives or otherwise."
Yes, this would teach her rotten children. Mommy was still watching them.
The Angelique had been feeling it building. Her Goddess, her Eternal Love, was brooding. It did not bode well for anyone if she was brooding. Aidin hid it well with her carefully neutral expressions and natural grace, but inside she was trembling with fear as her mate's anger rose. She tried her best to distract the goddess with her wiles and seductions, but even that failed. And now it had all come to a head.
Her only consolation was that Aeval's anger was turned towards her mortal children and not the Angelique herself.
Armed with this knowledge Aidin stands beside her mate - though two steps behind in reverence - as she addresses the mortals who have flocked to the temple. A shudder ran through her as her Goddess spoke, the sheer power of her words enveloping her. She did not envy the mortals who were the cause of the goddess' disappointment.
As Aeval's voice faded away the Angelique stepped forward as directed, her lips twisted into a wicked grin. Her mate had filled her in on what was to come next and how her disciples would be tested - and Aidin was pleased to be the facilitator in these games.
"Now, all of you worthless excuses for Succubi step forward and be counted. You will kneel before your Goddess and pay homage to her in the only way befitting her Loveliness - with the souls of those you have seduced and deceived!."
Pleased by the discomfort of the succubi below her, Aidin only grinned the wider and prepared to settle in for an entertaining show.

THE CLANS
Nightstalkers: Akorydna : owned by o-Nessy-o These Succubi are rumored to be related to the Drow. No one knows for sure as the Drow have been extinct on Faetasia for a long time. Some say that all the female Drow killed off their males and gave themselves over to a dark demon and became Nightstalkers. Nightstalkers tend to have dark skin tones, red or lavender eyes and pale, usually white hair. It's not impossible for the occasional one to come out albino or with dark hair, however. They adorn themselves in skulls and dark colors and relish in the torture and death of others. Each female must choose one path, the path of magic or the path of the warrior. These women consider their gender to be superior and will not take orders from any man.

Embrae: These females are the close-range, secretive type. They wouldn't fight openly, but make sure that no one sees them doing their dirty work. Feminine to a T, their charms and wiles are as dangerous as the weaponry that is no-doubt hidden on their bodies somewhere! They are also females who dislike imperfections of any sort. Scars, wounds, anything, would be promptly covered. It's also considered very bad taste to make an issue of another's disfigurements...in public. This clan would be the best-behaved clan, outwardly.

Sangre: Sangre, not to be confused with vampires, are a clan of Succubi who enjoy bathing and adorning themselves in blood. They have a particular fascination with the color red, and have been known to make blood sacrifices in the pursuit of power, which they believe to be found in their dark rituals. Due to their fascination with red, a Sangre Succubus with red hair, or eyes is considered to be more powerful than one without a hint of red to them by her clan sisters. Even red tips or streaks in hair gain a member of the Clan some status. They adore red gems, and wear them prominently whenever possible, storing the 'power' they have gained from their bloody entertainments within them. Rubies, and garnets are among the favored gems for this purpose.

Phantasm: Kalrana Lhundal Owned by: Fatal Irony They're very caught up in themselves, they love mirrors because they can catch a glimpse of themselves in them. Self-centered and tricky. They love to play tricks on males and pull them into their "love traps". Basically, they're like a siren in a way, that they can trap a man in their looks. A Phantasm must be hot, beautiful. They prefer the use of magic, not arms. They love aquamarines and the elder has them adorning her body. Her white-out eyes are a sign of a high bloodline. Fair eyes, blue and green for the rest of clan. Elder is very skilled in magic. The lighter the skin color, the more beautiful she is considered. Skimpy leather clothes are common. LIGHT make-up only. A Phantasm should not cover the natural beauty she has with makeup. They love jewelry. A Phanatasm can enter one's mind and make you see things that are not there. They're the ultimate tricksters. No hair color is preferred over another.

Venin: Reclusive to all but what they need, the Venins gather among forests, much like a female tribe. They don’t associate with males but only because they don’t find the need to. Much to their skills they’ve came accustomed with range attacks with cross bows, and throwing knives- to only attack what they think is best to attack as they do not like to engage in melee fighting. Only using what they need, they tend to wear leather, or pelts. For such a secluded bunch they have no order in body pigment except red hair, or fair hair- usually both. Though they distinctly have green eyes.

Euphoria: They are darkness and color all blended into one. A mix of both ends of nice and dark, pleasing to the eye to those whom enjoy clashing contrasts. Normally they have tattoo's or colorful paint splashed on their dark furred bodies, not worried about stalking their prey they would rather draw them in. Much like sirens did to saliors, calling them in to their doom. Happy to enslave their meals and keep them for as long as they as useful.

Imagica: Alyss Lutwidge : Owned by Pixy Max A clan founded on deceit, illusions, and trickery, these Succubi love to indulge in all things and attempt to make things which seem unreal real through their magics. They enjoy pleasing others and equally being pleased in return and use their abilities to the fullest in doing so. They have a love of any colors which are vivid or pastel, and show favor to those of their clan who have such colorations. They believe these colors as aids and reflections of who they are, and use them to lure what they want like a flower draws in bees.

Eldritch: Those of the Eldritch clan spend their lives studying the occult. They are fascinated with the varieties of magic in Faetasia; they do a lot of traveling in search of new forms of knowledge. Eldritch are especially interested in trying to summon spirits or gods (whether or not the gods appreciate this intrusion is another story!) These Succubi deliberately embrace a rather 'spooky' appearance, covering themselves in fishnetting and impressive jewelry.

Vainglaree: Tala Shokoufeh owned by Jareth Dallis Vain, beautiful, perfect. Those of the Vainglaree clan have an ego that stretches just about as far as an imagination can picture. Their skin tends to be ranges of fair browns to gold, and their hair is normally a fair white or a luxurious dark shade. Through their eyes they are the whole world, and the universe simply has to revolve around them; they decorate themselves in only the most beautiful of jewellery, and their selfishness flourishes on attention. Be careful men; not only does she want your heart in the palm of her hand; she really wants that amulet around your neck, and maybe that ring on your finger too.

Ashwalkers: They are quiet as ghosts that stalk in the night. These succubi are limited in palette, ranging from desaturated tones to shades of gray, their eyes always a solid colour. They are not what would be deemed prim and proper, so to speak, but they abide by rituals and social niceties more than the other clans. Madness was a disease that was to be kept under lock and key: never let the enemy know what was behind your eyes. And in the eyes of an Ashwalker? Everyone is an enemy.

Sekhmet: Sekhmet believe themselves to be one of the first races closest to the deities. Focusing their preferences on practicing ancient rituals and magic, they believe they are forever beautiful as the sands themselves. Usually found in the trait reds and black, some may also appear in the soft gray or brown with distinct spots. They love to seduce males with their alluring eyes which always has a greenish yellow tint to them. Sekhmet usually prefer lighter cloths that are enticing and brightly colored jewelery for appeal. Their favorite symbol is of course the ankh which means "eternal life". If scorned they can be ruthless attacking without warning using various small weapons they conceal with themselves such as a prized dagger. Their tales and song may be sweet, but males would do best to not be swept up in a fantasy they can't escape from.

Terasin : The Terasin are a clan of assassins, liken to Hashshashin. They employ the use of 'herbs' and 'potions' to enhance their fighting and magic skills. They have no color restrictions though most tend to be more neutral in color; ie: browns, greys, tans, earthy colors. Their attire is fairly middle eastern but not so cumbersome to where they could not move swiftly. Every member of the clan has either their left or right side of their face colored completely black. It is the mark of subjugation bestowed upon them by Aeval to limit their power until she feels they have proved themselves worthy of the mark's removal. The black mark does not pass on to non-succubus children.
The Terasin are a traitor marked clan. Ages ago their elder became consumed with power and she challenged Aeval's authority in her power madness. Aeval's response was severe as she wiped the entire clan from existence. But now as time has passed and Aeval's disappointment in the current clans grow, she has tentatively brought them back into existence with power limitations halved from what a Succubus of another clan might have. They are under Aeval's direct control and severe scrutiny. A clan closely watched and kept beneath her thumb.
Clanless:
These DO NOT EXIST. Every succubus in Faetasia falls into a clan. There are plenty of OCs and succubus kids that don't know they are in a clan, but they are. Every single one of them is in a clan. If you need help figuring out which one yours falls under, PM Fatal and she will set you straight wink
1. All Succubi must choose a clan, and must fit that clan. Succubi children default into their mother's clan. If they choose to be in another clan, it must be approved by that clan's elder.
2. Succubi are considered Demons. Please keep this in mind when breeding.

General Racial info: Succubi are sly, scheming, clever females that know no end to their lust. Lust for power, wealth, social standing, you name it. They have formed clans based on their own biases and beliefs, but these clans have a constant shifting of power. They have elders and no succubus would openly challenge her - until she had gained enough followers to double cross her. They are fluent in deceit and intrigue, subtly and grace. Each clan has its own way of doing things, but make no mistake a succubus is out for herself and her own glory.
An exception to this is when a succubus decides to devote herself utterly to the Goddess Aeval. When that happens she becomes a Temple Maiden. Temple Maidens go and live and serve at the temple. They are graced by the Goddess with powers just below that of her Angelique. They become stronger, faster, their minds more opened than a mortals. They become so much more than what they were. There is a price. To become this new, powerful creature, they must give up any mate they might have had and give up the ability to have children. They are giving up EVERYTHING for the Goddess. A Temple Maiden is highly respected and reveared, due to her exalted status with Aeval. There is only one known Temple Maiden to date: Loreesa the daughter to the Phantasm Elder. She was given over as an egg as payment for the elder's sins.

Gathering Souls!
This is the heart of this event! Aeval wants her mortal children to bring her souls as tribute. But how is that achieved?
It's very simple!
A succubus must, through RP in the guild, or through OOC interaction in this thread or the main thread, collect a fragment of soul from either a MALE or a LESBIAN NON-SUCCUBUS FEMALE. Succubi are known to seduce their prey before stealing their soul, so it makes sense for these victims to have a sexual attraction to the succubi. The succubus herself doesn't need to be gay or bisexual to seduce whomever she pleases - there is no actual sex involved. Just a dazzling seduction that leads to stealing of a bit of soul.
The victim doesn't know what's happened to them. They are suddenly compelled to that succubus' service, having lost a fragment of their soul (and therefore a fragment of their free will). Because of this loss of free will (even if only a fraction) the other owner MUST APPROVE THIS. That is why we require proof in url form of this taking place. If that person wants to seek a way to get their pets' free will back this can be achieved through turning to another deity, or challenging the succubus who stole it to combat. We can talk about that more later wink Just suffice it to say that this doesn't have to be permanent!
But Fatal, why do we care about collecting souls, particularly if we just want pretty succubi and don't want to RP at all?
Good question. See, each soul your succubus claims earns her (and therefore you) a RAFFLE TICKET. There is no limit to the number you can earn, so get cracking!
