Shadows of the North (Kain, Odd, Darts)

Kain would Lead the two back into the blistering cold, walking allong the circled styled city he scanned for the gym.

Though it only took one look to his left to lock onto his target, the tremendous brown roof would Stand out amongst the other roofs tightly packed with white flakes.

But just before Kain would take his heave through the snow something caught his eye. a Sign swinging from the winds glinted in the distance. The Obscurely tall man would look down at his companions "C-Can we go there after? I just feel like I should see it"

With those few words Kain started walking towards the gym.

On the inside the group, and especially darts, would find it no warmer but maybe in fact a smidgen colder. The freezing room was built like an inverted pyramid Filled with a variate of young trainers lining the levels. And a impressively upbeat looking man with odd glasses and a scruffy goatee. "Hey Folks only one person can do the gym at a time! So who's first!"

Odd nodded to Kain's request as they walked through the frigid wind and driving snow. It was, perhaps, a bit unusual compared to what might be considered "normal" but given the state of their comrade, he didn't see it fit much to argue with him. In all honesty, he truly believed this was a fool's errand and Kain would be dead before long. He certainly looked like he was quite literally melting away before his very eyes, after all. The channeler with the alabaster hair followed on into the gym, only to be instantly annoyed by the man inside. "What is with this town these days?! The last time I was here people had so much more courtesy and generosity towards outsiders." He asked the empty air, ignoring the man who'd spoken to their group at first. "You'd think when you enter a Pokemon Gym that you'd be asked if you're actually here to battle or not before making assumptions were made."

With a shake of his head, he'd follow it up with another passive-aggressive statement. "It's not like we could possibly be here just to talk to the gym leader about something in the town, is it?" Hopefully the guy would the point. And if not, he always had a team of soul-hungry Ghosts lining his belt that could be used to intimidate the guy into giving him what he wanted.

"I'm sure we'll have to do some kind of challenge or something..." Darts mutters, his voice muffled underneath the layers and layers of winter coat he had wrapped around as much of himself as he can muster. "At least they're not after us as evil cultists or something... the looks this body gets me..."

"HA!" the old man would laugh out loud "You've got spunk kid, especially if you think your the scariest person to come into the gym!" The man would come closer to Odd "Now if yall young-ins would like to show some respect to an old fellow I'm just doing my job". The cheery man would lean up and face darts "Huh honestly you ain't the first one come walkin about in a get up like that. Weird fellow he was.. I think he. Never saw past that shiny thing on his noggin. Now then" The older gym worker would look across the room "These here boys want to talk with yah. What you want with em?"

With stares shooting across the room a young woman would stand in a skirt and t-shirt, looking as if it where the summer time, chuckling as the three men looked her way. "Heh Alright but if you boys want my help your going to have to prove you can even fight!"

A large icey bridge would shoot out laying way for the trainers. "So today you are the opponent of the great Candice! I wait everyday for tough trainers, but ill warn you I'm pretty tough myself!"

The girl would whip out two Pokeballs Exploding out a Weavile and Abomasnow. The Weavile would pounce through the air parading its extreme speed, while the abomasnow would crash down on the bridge sending flakes and shards of ice everywhere "ABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMASNOW!"

"Gym leaders don't demand battles to earn their help. It is your sworn duty as a gym leader to also be a leader and an example of benevolence to the people of your town." Odd snapped, getting angry at this point. Was everyone in this town crabby and ready to fight over anything? "Three strangers come in looking for nothing but a little information and you demand a battle for it? You're no gym leader.." He continued, releasing his Lampent now. "You're a bully." This statement was followed by him releasing his Klinklang.

If she wanted a double battle, he may as well give it to her. It wasn't like they were going to get anywhere without one. Maybe Darts would pursue the older guy's statement about the guy with the thing on his head. Maybe it was Kain way back when?

Darts tosses his own Pokeball, walking up next to Odd as he nods towards his fellow Snagem in agreement. "Thine mouth doth run too much. Even for a gym leader." He adds, as a flash of light releases his Sliggoo.

"Slig!"

"You don't gotta take this guy on on your own." He adds to Odd, pointing a golden hand towards the gym leader. "Nobody talks about my golden noggin that way and gets away with it!"
