Personality

Ewen is a carefree soul with little holding him back from his duty as a Priest of the Catholic Faith. Popular with children, he can be compared to one with his energetic tendencies and overall curiosity.


Biography

Ewen comes from a long line of Shepherds of the Sheeple known as the Catholic Religion.
His ancestor, Lloyd Clarke, one of the two people credited for bringing the Faith to Western Frontier, back when trains were the biggest thing.
Ewen grew up on the stories of Father Lloyd Clark and Sister Agnes Knight as they brought faith to what was considered a barbaric landscape. (Though a lot of times, it was done in barbaric fashion, but hey, no one gave the Crusader's a second thought.. )

Ewen's powers were never realized until the fateful day that he was brought to the Church of St. Dimas with his family to see the building. See, it was rather hard not to notice the sudden, in-explainable appearance of a Priest and Nun following the boy around. No really. Try to make an explanation without it sounding like some Exorcist knockoff.

So yeah! Aside from the constant slur of 'I see dead people' jokes thrown at him until he was out of school, Ewen upheld the family tradition of the Cloth. He has been placed as the Father of the St. Dimas Church for a number of reasons.
Number One being his own abilities.

Recent events have had an intresting turn, as Ewen has become somewhat of a Guardian for a particular Witch that had been residing within the foundation of the city since before Trains were hip.

▌Lloyd Clarke: One of the more common Ghosts seen following Ewen from time to time. An ancestor of great renown within the Church, Father Lloyd was known for spreading Faith to the Western Frontier. Is very adept at cracking Skulls with the Bible.

Secrets

She discovered her senior year in high school that she had an interest in not only boys, but girls as well. She has yet to come out of her parents since they are such a religious family, she is afraid of what they will think of her. Since she works late almost every night, she is afraid of the weird, creepy noises that come from alleys and closed shops, but she always tries to convince herself that its just a stray cat. Her last fear in rather silly, but she is afraid of roller coasters, since her older cousins forced her one when she was too young and has been traumatized ever since.


Personality

Nikki is a simple girl with simple tastes. She doesn't need a lot of things to be happy, but everything she does have she is grateful for. She is sometimes a bit oblivious to problem, especially the problems of others, but she is not ditzy and she has a kind heart so even if some things she does seem a bit off, she always has the best intentions, even if it doesn't always turn out the way she planned. She is very passionate about her music and takes it very seriously and doesn't allow anyone to bring her down because once her mind is set on something, she doesn't back down. She is a very philosophical person though so if she is one of her moods, sometimes she doesn't make sense. As well as when she goes off in her own little world, she stares off into space and it takes a while to bring her back and when she snaps out of it, she reverts back to her normal self quickly, as if nothing happened.


Biography

Nicolle Trisha Farris was born September 29th at 4:06am, four minutes younger than her older twin brother Zane who never lets her live it down. They were born into a rather normal family, nothing really special about them but nothing that was really wrong. Her parents were very religious people who loved each other and their children very much, so she and her brother grew up in the church. They attended a private school for most of their lives because their parents were very protective of their babies. But Veronica's brother, Nikki and Zane's uncle, finally convinced their parents to allow them to attend public school in high school.

It was a culture shock since the twins were not used to such a different school environment, but they were both very social people and fit in very easily. Zane became quite the flirt and an amazing soccer player they discovered. Nikki joined band, choir, orchestra, theater, and any other extracurricular activity that got her closer to music. They both got good grades, never below a B, and they were the perfect children that their parents could have asked for. That is, until Nikki realized that she had was bisexual and that golden image was shot to hell. She knew that her parents, being the religious people they were, would not accept her interest in not only men but women as well. So she stayed in closet, her brother being the only one who knew of her secret.

Nikki and Zane are now out of high school and living in an apartment together. Nothing really fancy but they promised each other that they would always stay by each others side and as Zane attends community college, Nikki is doing online schooling while she works on her music. Her parents still don't know her little secret, but its bad enough that they don't believe her music career will go that far, her brother is the only one who really supports everything she does.

Her only makeup is lipgloss, and for accessories she has tons of beautiful scarves of varying patterns and images, and one reversible turquoise and purple coat. Around her neck is a black cord with a single black saltwater pearl strung on it.


Skills

She eventually wants to be a housewife while working part-time or from home, so she likes and is good at keeping a tidy home and a garden as well, though she will occasionally hire a gardener to take some of the load off of her. She is particularly proud of her small vegetable garden, but her neighbors know her for her hydrangeas because she sells them at a certain time of the year.

Cleaning is her stress relief. If you find her kitchen absolutely spotless and shiny and gorgeous, you'd know she probably hasn't had a great day. She loves cooking, so the kitchen is usually the messiest place in the house. She is not really a neat freak, but organizing is just something that comes natural to her so while she has a bit too much stuff for one person, her home never looks crowded.

Aside from that, she is also quite good at playing the guitar and the ukelele, both of which are black and scuffed and well-loved. Academically, she had always excelled in the earth sciences (particularly ecology) and astronomy, and she still maintains a passing interest and a fairly large amount of stock knowledge in those fields.


Ambitions

Getting married isn't so much a goal as it is a means to reach a goal, which is to adopt and raise children full-time. She wants a big family just like the one she grew up with, and a partner to share her life with. The partner doesn't have to be a husband. Sheena would happily settle down with any compatible soul, and perhaps retire in Hawaii.


Secrets

She is not a sexual person. She doesn't mind it and would willingly participate enthusiastically for her partner, but the kind of attraction she feels towards people is almost never lust. She enjoys romance and physical affection, but she fears that her particular quirks and lack of enthusiasm for sex complicates things too much. She's dated before, but wants something long-term and she harbors a deep, dark fear she she might not find someone. It's not that she's lonely. Sheena is quite content with her life, but she feels that she is naturally inclined towards cohabitation and family life.


Personality

Sheena is a dreamy and sensitive person. She dresses simply but the aesthetic she enjoys and surrounds herself with is ornate, lush, old-fashioned, and beautiful. She has a special love for fantasy novels and would love to live in a world of queens and castles and underground cave complexes and floating islands and wyverns and magic...she cannot help but get lost in them.

She is generally a friendly person, perhaps bit too friendly from the get-go--sometimes she comes across as a bit overeager. She is naturally quiet but may be pushed to loquaciousness on occasion. Sheena also tries to maintain a serene facade, to be that person who unfailingly smiled, but she is not nearly as calm a person as she wished she were.


Biography

There is no getting around the fact that Sheena is rich. Not trust-fund baby rich, but at age twenty-seven she is living in her own house with a small pool and garden that her parents paid for. She was raised privileged and, for all her experience with death, was always sheltered in some ways, though their parents did their best to make sure that their children were grounded and not ignorant to the realities of poverty, social inequality, and other harsh realities. Exposure to the broader world since leaving home has only made her a stronger and more aware person.

Part of the reason she left her beloved home was because she did not feel quite settled there. She loved living with her family, but she wanted to start one of her own. And while she loved Hawaii, a part of her longed for new roots, a place where she could stake her own claim and not be overwhelmed by her family and the tight community she'd known all her life.

Working for her uncle Ernesto was the perfect solution. The field of funeral services was a pretty much exclusively family businesses, and she knew that she could never work at a funeral home without connections. Her uncle was very happy to have another family member in his business, and something about Aldenburg just made her love it instantly. There was something magical and beautiful about the place, and there was always Downtown on the rare occasion she wanted to dance and drink or go shopping.

▌Mark Joseph McPhee (50) - She and her father are a lot alike, and so their relationship sometimes borders on friendship. He's the parent she calls when she needs help or advice, professional or otherwise. They also email each other regularly.

Isabella Marie McPhee (59) - Sheena regards her mother with a mixture of fear, respect, yet still a very warm love. Her mother was her main mentor while she was studying mortuary science, and Isabella was very disappointed when Sheena opted to move out of their home in Hawaii and work as an assistant to her uncle rather than stay with the family business. It is a source of awkwardness between them sometimes.

Micheal McPhee-Johansen (33) - Sheena's brother, and the reason Sheena used to punch people when she was younger. Teachers thought Sheena was a violent person, because she wouldn't explain to them that she only hit those people who would insist on calling Micheal her sister even though from a young age Micheal identified himself as male. It took a long time for many people to look past the fact that he was once Mikaela, and even longer for her brother to feel completely safe and comfortable with his own identity. Sheena will always be protective when it comes to Micheal.

Paulo McPhee (32) - Paulo is living the life that Sheena wants--works from home, has a couple of kids, and married to a woman that truly understands him and is able to adapt to being in a long-term relationship with a person with ADHD. He was the brother who picked on her the most, but now...he is still the brother who picks on her the most. Some things never change.

Suzanne McPhee (26) - Suz was Sheena's enemy. They just did not click as kids, and refused to share a room with each other. Their relationship as adults is cordial and familial and friendly, if lacking the same enthusiastic warmth that comes naturally to Sheena with the other family members. Sheena gets a long much better with Suzanne's wife.

Raina Rivers (25) - As the only other McPhee child to take up mortuary science, the McPhee Funeral Home will eventually be passed on to her. Raina didn't appreciate being in the middle of Suzanna and Sheena's childhood enmity towards each other, but she considers both of them her best friends.

Caleb McPhee (24) - Her youngest brother was the one who gifted Sheena with her first guitar. Sheena thought he really had it in him to make it big in the music industry, but he now finds steady work as a professional acrobat. Sheena tries her best to go to all the shows where he is the lead.

Jessamine Tolentino (22) - Jess was the roughest and dirtiest kid out of all of them. She never failed to get herself muddy or wet doing sports or parkour. She now gets her thrills (and salary) climbing mountains and going into caves in various countries and photographing those locations for her husband's magazines. She sends copies to everyone, and they occupy an exclusive space on Sheena's wall.

Ernesto Soriano (55) - Isabella's younger brother and the owner of the local funeral home at Aldenburg. Sheena works as his assistant, along with his daughter Aria.

Marianna Soriano (54) - Ernesto's wife. She is quite happy to have two daughters now that Sheena is with the business.

Aria Soriano (21) - Heir to Ernesto's business. She sees Sheena as an older sister. Aria likes to joke about the fact that she seems like a stereotypical mortician--all black clothes and a serious demeanor. But she is actually quite a happy person.

Having a potluck with those people is one of the things she looks forward to the most upon returning. Her family is so big and she is so content with the people in her life that she has few truly close friends in Aldenburg. Personality

Will is a silver tongued actor who rather enjoys portraying different personalities just to fool or deceive others. His true personality follows. The world is a game to him, and he revels in chaos. Will is a heartless b*****d for the most part. He hardly listens to others and doesn’t take well to people ordering him around. He is extremely mischievous, can be obnoxious, arrogant, and manipulative in creating situations at others' expense for his own amusement. Paired with those traits is his masochistic sadistic attitude because he'll nonchalantly toy with others all the time. His words more often than not drip with sarcasm. He is also be rather foul-mouthed.

He is a womanizer and very skilled at seduction, gaining him quite a few girlfriends. He is possessive. For example, if someone happens to make a pass at one of his highly favored girlfriends, he will respond in some way whether it be by threatening them or pranking them with harmful results. With respect to deals, he doesn't mind striking deals with others, but sometimes he will intentionally treat the other side's want literally so that it is satisfied but not quite in the manner the other party desired.

Despite all that, he still cherishes his family...maybe not so much his sister's fiance, but he still holds respect for the man.



Biography

Will is the youngest of three siblings to Cameron, owner of a medium sized weapons company and a weaponsmaker, and Keladri DeScythe, a musician. While Kent is a lawyer and Selis a renowned musician, Will is the oddball of the family and was a complete brat as a child, always causing trouble wherever he went. For example, for one of the less harmful antics, he dared someone to go and steal random crap (*cough* Adelaide), and let's just say, sh*t hit the fan at some point.

Despite being quite a virtuoso with music especially with the violin and piano, Will instead dabbled with experimentation to keep himself out of boredom and ended up joining the detectives to amuse himself. He didn't get the job he applied for... instead they moved him to a place where they thought his intellect would be more useful up in management. Doing spectacularly well and found to be quite intelligent, Will was promoted rather quickly. Unfortunately, it was a desk job and didn't involve much fieldwork. So... Will has been accused of being a lazy arse and knowing nothing compared to the field detectives because he's stuck at a desk job. In response, Will has pranked his coworkers. Being one of the best codebreakers, it has been rumored by the detective who gave Will his newbie orientation back in the day, that no codebreaker has been able to break Will's notes....those notes are actually just doodles because Will was too bored to take notes during the meetings. He will totally tag along on fieldwork out of boredom with excuses such as evaluating the fieldwork done by the cops or just because.

Will has strong mafia and gang ties and can easily influence them if he wants something done. Down in the underworld, people know him more by his "Maestro" moniker. That name was derived from his music nickname, and not everyone knows that it is the same man. He is the inside man, and he is a double agent sometimes. He will use police leverage if necessary if he wants something to go a different way, but this does not happen often unless he is strongly opinionated on a situation or if he is being an a**, bored and just ruffling feathers for his own amusement. He's done it before, and while not everyone likes it, they've grown to live with him. Ironically, somehow, his attitude has drawn followers to some extent. When it comes to sides, Will prefers the underworld side simply because he doesn't give a crap about laws and enjoys so very much torturing others. He also has a history with them because he was sort of involved with them in his younger years.

Biography

Ian grew up in a tiny apartment with just her mom, who worked as an ER nurse and was sometimes gone for long hours, leaving Ian on her own. They never struggled too much (there was always just enough money for food, if not for other items), but they certainly had monetary issues. Her mom knows about her gender, and is completely supportive. Right now, Ian's attending college on a vocal scholarship. It's a mysterious one, though; she can't remember signing up for it, or her vocal instructor mentioning it, but it's a full ride. Either way, Ian took it. She's majoring in Music studies, but isn't very happy with how her life's been going so far, and too scared to change it.

She enjoys listening more than she does speaking but there are still times when she can talk someone's ear off. That happens most often with subjects she's very interested in. She's gentle with people and animals alike. She can't stand to see anyone or anything being abused or mistreated and will speak up quickly for the victim. Preservation of self has always come second to the preservation of life of others.

When working she can be very single-minded and focused but on her downtime her mind tends to wander. She's also pretty superstitious. She knocks on wood, holds her breath going past graveyards, throws salt over her shoulder, wishes on stars and clocks when they hit 11:11 and so on and so forth.

There have been changes in her personality since her accident. She's not as talkative as she was before (at least not to strangers since she can't always tell who's living or dead and she doesn't want to look like a crazy person). Mood swings also make an appearance frequently. Her psychiatrist has diagnosed her with PTSD. One moment she could be fine and happy, the next she can burst into tears, or other uncomfortable states (shaking fits, panic attacks, ETC). Little things can often set off a depressive mood; a smell, voice, pretty much anything. She is working on getting this under control with a weekly visit to her psychiatrist.


Biography

Ainsley comes from a wealthy family. Her mother, Susana, was a Canadian actress who often traveled to New York and Los Angeles for work. She was shooting some scenes for a movie near Aldenburg and had gone to the small city one evening after shooting had finished for the day. That's where she literally bumped into her future husband, a local doctor named James Clark. The two ended up having a fling before Susana finished filming and went back to Canada. The two stayed in touch and any time either were close by they would meet up. This back and forth went on for three years before the two finally got serious and James moved to Vancouver. They were married a little under two years later.

Ainsley was born a number of years later. Their second child. She spent her childhood years living in the lap of luxury. She went to private school, had a tutor, was taught to play the piano, and speak French. It was after Ainsley's younger sisters--the twins--were born that things started to go downhill. She began to notice her parents fighting more often and by the time she was eleven, her parents had gotten a divorce and she started living with her dad and older brother in America, back in Aldenburg. He opened his own practice there. When she was older she found out why the two had split; her mother had cheated on him. More than once.

Ainsley began spending a lot of her spare time with her dad--with the receptionists when he was busy--at his work. She quickly realized she wanted to help people like he did. That was when the seed was planted. She would pass back and forth over the years; wanting to be a vet or a doctor but by high school, she realized all that extra schooling wasn't for her. Instead, she decided on becoming a nurse.

It was also in high school that she met her first boyfriend, Lucas. They started dating when she was in tenth grade and he was in eleventh. The relationship stayed strong even when Lucas left for college. She eventually joined him and they moved in together. She was in her second year when she got pregnant. It was a simple pregnancy. No complications or problems. Ian Lucas Hayes-Clark was born happy and healthy three days before his due date. Ainsley stayed home with him, taking her courses online until Lucas finished his program. She went back to school full-time by that point and graduated on time. When they both finished school--her for nursing and him for art studies--they moved back to Aldenburg with Ian. Ainsley's father offered her a position at his practice but she chose to go to work at the main hospital in town. Lucas had already started selling his artwork, some pieces making a good chunk of cash.

During the beginning of winter--snow was sticking to the ground but the river wasn't frozen over yet--when Ainsley was twenty-four, she and Lucas were coming home from an art show for Lucas's new pieces. Lucas was driving them home in the first major snowstorm of the season. The two were passing over the main bridge spanning High River when the front wheels hit a patch of black ice. The car went crashing off the bridge and started sinking into the icy cold waters. Lucas managed to unbuckle Ainsley, break his window and shove her out of the vehicle that was quickly filling with water. She floated to the surface, unconscious, while he tried to free himself. He ran out of air before he could make it out after her and drowned.

Ainsley was pulled ashore by a bystander but has stopped breathing. The man gave her CPR and revived her minutes before the ambulance and everyone else showed up. Ainsley spent the next week unconscious in the hospital. When she did finally wake, she was told Lucas had not been breathing when they got to him and they had not been able to bring him back.

The trouble was, when she was finally discharged Lucas was at home, waiting for her. He had no idea he was dead. Her own death had enabled her to see the dead. At first she thought she was going crazy but she's come to think of it as a gift. Just another way to help those who need it; those that couldn't get the help they needed in life.

Since the accident, she has gone back to work and now also works to help the dead pass over. Her main goal is to find out how to get Lucas to move on but no matter what she does, he won't go.

Nick was and still is concerned with her mental well being and was the one that got her to start seeing a psychiatrist. she's always been closer with him than any of her other siblings.
▌Younger Sister ( 20 ) - Juliet Clark - Waitress - close; they talk over the phone weekly to monthly but they only see each other on holidays and special occasions. they get along well when they're together.
▌Younger Sister ( 20 ) - Anabelle Clark - Vocalist for Forever Grey - not close; they see each other on holidays and special occasions but that's about it. she and Ainsley butt heads a lot. Anabelle likes to blame their dad for their mom's cheating and Ainsley won't have any of it.
▌Son ( 4 ) - Ian Hayes-Clark - Kindergarten Student - very close; Ian is the apple of Ainsley's eye. her little prince. her sweet reminder of Lucas. she cherishes her little fella and loves him to bits.
