The night was pitch black due to heavy cloud cover, the moon completely obscured from view. This didn't bother Caelen. His eyes were used to the dark.
The lone figure had moved toward a doorway, so Cae altered his course accordingly. Circling around, he managed to come up behind the unknown guest, who turned out to be not so unknown after all.
Oh! That explains that then. Inei, you had me worried for a minute there. No need to go skulking the grounds. Just come in the front door. After all, you are a Bartob too.
Cae smiled, amused at the way Inei had a mildly embarrassed look on her ghostly face. Gesturing for Inei to follow him, Cae began to casually make his way back to the main manor door. Inei was no problem, but Cae's conscious was still tugging at him. There was still a presence around the manor, and it made him uneasy.

Marida was in the duct work now. She was traveling silently as possible stopping at vent grates periodically to see what could be seen. She had spotted several figures on her last stop but didn't necessarily recognize them. She knew there were many other Bartobs that she'd never seen before (a result of being a late-comer almost a full year after the event which created the group). She scanned the area should see for signs of security and or Chef.
Well, no sign of the Jedi here. she thought to herself. Still... she added cautiously no need to assume it's all clear. After all, there's security here for a reason. She decided to sit and wait at this vent for a while to see what might walk by below her. From where she was, anyone walking in would be spotted easily as they passed by her. From the actual main entrance, she was behind the small AC vent up and to the right. But, this vantage point had some disadvantages. Namely, she was restricted from seeing what else was going on. Reaching into her outfit she pulled out a container and opened it. Inside were six little nano bots that looked like flies. Each one had a small holo-recorder in it. She activated them and then carefully one-by-one sent them flying out into the manor to spy around for her.
She then decided to move on into a central junction of the air conduits and activate the small hand-held holo-reader she carried. The first fly was heading over where Alice had been. The second, was on its way toward the security room. The third was lingering near the main door watching it and the fourth was landing on the ceiling to watch the Grand Ballroom. Five had decided to zip in the direction of the basement where Ren was and six, the last one, was circling the lobby waiting for follow anything of interest.
These little nano-bots were semi-autonomous so she didn't have to worry about controlling them. Good, good Number two had spotted Chef and where he had been discussing the explosion and the loss of the steaks with Ren. Four was watching Cel and Kags, Three was watching the door still and as yet did not see too much of interest. She decided to recall Six. After several moments the small nano-bot returned and she sent it back the way she'd come to view the exterior of the building. She switched the viewer off and headed toward deeper into the system of air ducts. She decided to advance to the next floor, satisfied that her tiny spies had the ground floor covered. When she finally reached a second floor hall that was empty she carefully and quietly removed the vent and slipped into it. She'd have preferred a room but the vents in the rooms were far too small. She gazed around quickly and checked all of the bots once more. The exterior one had caught Cae outside and Marida narrowed her eyes as she examined the small image. Something about the image made her suspect that one could be trouble. She began creeping toward the end of the hallway along the wall. She hadn't seen anyone else around, so she began to wonder if there really was a large security contingent here. And, it was clear now nothing had shown up out of the ordinary for her to have fun with.

((No worries Kags. This is a post when you feel like it sort of thing anyhow. Makes it easier for everyone. ))
The pitiful pile of sugar on the counter was daunting. The bright halogen light bulbs gave the sugar crystals a slight glimmer. Cel looked at the mess before her, deep in thought.
I wonder...could it really be that simple? Why not? Couldn't hurt to give it a shot.
With no explanation whatsoever, Cel swept all that sugar on the counter into a large bowl. Next she grabbed a vacant food trolley and dumped the contents of the bowl onto the trolley's metallic surface.
Kags looked on, bewildered by what was happening. Cel just winked and continued.
The deep amethyst stone Cel always wore around her neck took on a soft glow, creating a bizarre purple halo over the piled up sugar. Cel began to make a circling motion over the sugar pile with her hands, all the while chanting a strange language:
Sola'ne gil atma'ne Geth'ne.
As she spoke, the sugar crystals on the trolley began to swirl around, a mini hurricane over a silver sea. The circular motion of Cel's hands got faster and faster. The swirling mass of sugar began to shoot upward toward the ceiling. Just before it looked like it may very well reach the ceiling tiles above, the column divided into two sprays and circled back down, twisting and turning, taking on a distinct form. Before Kag's very eyes, the sugar centerpiece began to reform. In two minutes, the most magnificent sugar sculpture anyone had ever laid eyes on was standing tall on the trolley, gleaming and glittering.
The amethyst stone stopped glowing and Cel's hands stopped circling. She grinned at Kags.
I figured that since my area of expertise is with crystals, why couldn't sugar crystals be manipulated the same way as others? The sculpture is reinforced now. I don't think even a nuclear explosion right next to it could break this thing.

Cree yawned. She'd been staying up too late the past few nights, and it was now catching up with her. She nestled into her cat-shaped bed. One by one, her menagerie of cats took their place on Cree's bed. She had lost count of how many she actually had, but it was no burden; she loved them. Her friends here at the Manor had known that Cree was a crazy cat lady. It was normal to find a few stragglers wandering around the corridors mewing; but they always found their way back, and they were well taken care of. The irony of it all, was that Cree was actually allergic to her feline friends, but it didn't stop her from wanting more and more of them. By now, Cree was drifting off to dreamland, and she would wake up most likely around midday, and would have to make her own pot of coffee. Usually, if Cree slept in, she would miss the morning's coffee that was prepared by Cae. Though, sometimes if she were lucky, the generous butler would pity her and make her a pot. In the very least, let it be known, Cree is not and will never be a "morning person."

Cree woke up as she heard a familiar voice in her head. It belonged to Barton's resident scissor ghost; her friend Skyro. She quickly jumped from her bed and threw clothes on and made her way downstairs. 'Don't worry Sky, I'm coming to get you.' Cree tried not to make a lot of commotion but waved quickly to Cel, Chef, and Cae. "I'm going to get Skyro..well, her body at least. She's stuck on the floor of Barton Boutique. She was yelling in my head; she needs a bit of help getting her body back up." With that, she left the Manor, and proceeded to Barton Boutique. She arrived and was greeted by Ian as she opened the door. She hadn't seen Rufus; but then in the middle of the floor lay Skyro, and Rufus on top of her. "Welp..there you are, Sky. Here, let me help you up." Cree knelt and pulled Skyro's arms over her shoulders, and supported her lower body.
