"I want to hide the truth,
I want to shelter you,
But with the beast inside,
there's nowhere we can hide."

Noticing the blonde's gesture that he may as well come in already, Alistair slowly nodded before following her inside. Now that everyone seemed to be situated, the teen closed the door behind him before watching the scene before him. It must've been a stab to the heart after receiving such news. Everything that the male knew once was gone. All gone. But before Alistair could even attempt to help in the effort to comfort the guy, he had suddenly passed out and that was when he quickly ran to his side and fell to his knees.

"Wah-? Mr., are you okay? Please wake up!" he exclaimed, lifting his limp body onto his lap. He couldn't possibly be dead... could he? It was then that Alistair lifted his head to look at both the blonde and brunette who was now being sat back down onto a bed, his eyes wide in fear. "H-He's going to be okay, right?" the teen managed to stutter, has hands beginning to shake. Unlike the others, Alistair was scared out of his mind right about now. He just couldn't bear the thought of yet another innocent soul losing their life, not like his friend... Sure, this man was a complete stranger to him, but still. It just wasn't fair.

ooc: gah, i feel like this post is sort of... cheesy. ._.;

With: Taliana, Darius and Swordsman

Ian looked sternly towards the young man now sat on the couch, his anger at the speedster ebbing slightly as he realized his motivations, it shouldn't have been an excuse, but when you're desperate and lonely it's hard to think of anything else but putting a stop to it. It was still no excuse for him to barge into Taliana's home but still it was kind of tragic that he had to find out that everything had fallen apart. Shock was bound to be a reaction and as such, Ian stepped back and waited for Darius to snap out of it before continuing to talk. The Swordsman did the opposite of this and decided the best thing to do with someone suffering was to hound him and Ian, his wounds still healing and his body still somewhat broken stepped forward. "Give him some room," Ian said quietly but authoritative enough to let the Swordsman know he meant business "He's alive, he's just in shock. We need to let him breathe it out and wait for him to become responsive; any interference on our part could send him deeper and it'll be harder for us to help him. So, stand back."

Ian looked over at Taliana, his face displaying a sort of confusion as to their next move now that things had taken such a complicated turn; it totally betrayed the unrecognizable confidence the young man had displayed before when telling the Swordsman to back off. It was almost like a snapshot as to why Ian was the newest Green Lantern of Sector 2814 but after the that flash, Ian returned to his normal self. That normal self being way out of his depth. After all, Ian Wickes the bartender was hardly leadership material. He was hardly Green Lantern Material but the ring had chosen him and it was beginning to drive him mad. It kept thrusting him into these awkward situations where he needed to take charge, act and be the hero when he wasn't used to that. But this poor young man calling himself the Flash, he needed Ian, he needed someone to help him and as Hal Jordan's Legacy, that responsibility now fell unto him.

Hobbling over towards the flash, his wounds obviously improving thanks to the glow of his ring, Ian crouched down beside Darius and looked him dead in the eyes. Ian's eyes were a dark brown, Darius' an almost electric blue and fighting through the soreness of his bruises; Ian was determined to be some sort of comfort to him.
"I understand this isn't the result you wanted, Hal Jordan was a great man who sacrificed a helluva lot for the world." Ian began, his tone quite soft and whimsical in order to keep everyone calm "And I'm not him, unfortunately, but I am his successor. We both know what me having this ring means and it means I inherit his responsibilities and where I may not be your Uncle, I will take on his responsibility for you just until you get back on your feet. I'm a bit beat up right now but eventually, I'm pretty sure we can make this work." Shooting Darius a smile, Ian stood up once more and felt the bones in his body creak in unison, he looked towards Taliana and before long put his hands in his pockets. He was quite lucky actually that his trousers remained in one piece considering his work shirt was absolutely destroyed.

Ian didn't stop there though, turning towards the swordsman, Ian finally gathered up the courage to ask him:
"And you are?"

Darius lay still his mind lost for a minute as soon he came back to a panicked child holding him and then soon the Green Lantern that had his uncles ring looking him in the eyes, trying to comfort him. Darius felt like socking him right in the mouth, this wasn't him being helpless in this world, it was him being trapped here, never to see anyone he loved and had grown to love ever again, how could he even try to carry that. Darius got up as he flung Ian onto the couch his hair covering his eyes as he lifted his fist. He wanted to so bad to punch him endlessly or until his hand broke from the constant bone to bone contact.

He finally lifted his eyes looking at Ian with tears in his eyes and a look of anguish calling out from his face. Everything was lost, and all he had to offer him was being the successor to the man that might've been the only face he recognized in this god forsaken place, where his grandmother was left to sit and cry to herself because the one thing she loved had been taken from her. He had no father, no mother, or rather they weren't as they were in his reality, and yet he would try to empathize with him with all of that.

Darius looked at Ian through blurry, teary eyes. Yet through the blur, he could see it.....he could see Hal, just like he had in his head, strong, with a resolve that could bend even superman's unbreakable spine. Darius let go of Ian as he wiped his eyes and helped him up.
"You don't have to take responsibility for anything, I'm my own responsibility....But thank you. My name's Darius Allen, and if you need me I'll be outside on your roof for a minute. With that Darius was gone the door closed as if it hadn't even been opened to let him out.

Darius soon to the roof of the apartment building as the wind blew against him opening his jacket to reveal the white shirt and sweater vest under. he sat down his black slim straight jeans tightening on his legs as he looked over his knees to his red converses, and sighed. He reached in his bag pulling out a bag of what seemed to be a grass. He pulled out a dollar and a silver circular device as he put the piece of vegetation in and began grinding the circular device. He opened it to reveal the substance now crushed up as he placed it in the dollar. Darius pulled out a small piece of paper, as he emptied out the dollar into the paper.

He began to play around with it for a little bit until finally rolling it and sealing it, in a quick manner. He pulled out his lighter hand covering the flash symbol as he lit the now rolled joint and took a deep drag. He would then inhale more air through his nose as he closed his eyes and released the smoke from his lungs.
"The only superhero to smoke pot, Heh." Darius joked to himself as he took another drag and held it in for a moment and then opened his mouth only to start pulling air in through his nose, as he opened his mouth smoke filtered in through his nose as he breathed and then he stopped letting a small puff of smoke escape his mouth as he closed it, almost like a dragon.

Darius would release it once more as he only sat atop the roof and looked at the scenery of Suicide Slums, if it weren't a s**t hole....it might've actually been beautiful.

"I want to hide the truth,

Alistair could hear the authority in the male's voice and swallowed the lump in his throat, slowly nodding before standing up and taking a few steps away. It was only moments later that the black-haired fellow had woken up and to his relief, was talking again as if nothing had happened. The teen listened as he spoke and after he identified himself as Darius, Alistair himself watched as he went outside and headed towards the roof. This left he and the other two alone once more and it was then that he heard the Green Lantern ask who he was. Turning his attention back to the pair, Alistair couldn't help but lower his gaze out of timidness before speaking.

"O-Oh... My name is Alistair... Alistair Zakarius. It's a please to meet you, both..." Al spoke these words carefully, making sure to leave out the part about him being an agent of S.T.A.R Labs. But he sort of figured they would probably already know about him. After all, if the League did, then why shouldn't they? He didn't exactly have the best track record either, all thanks to Striker...

'Your welcome, kid.'

With: Taliana Lance, Alistair Zakarius and Darius Allen is on the roof.

Ian had to admit that he was slightly surprised that Darius had thrown him onto the couch. His wounds seemed to pang slightly as his back hit the couch's backboard but Ian didn't raise his ring once to protect himself, somewhat defiant, he left his hands either side of him and watched as the boy looked at him through teary eyes. Ian could understand how it must feel for him right now, he'd felt the same thing when experiencing the memories of Hal within his ring; the loss of Coast City, the madness that began to wriggle its way into Hal after it. Ian couldn't allow that to happen to Darius and getting up from the sofa, cracking the numb bones in his back after his fight with the Sinestro Corps soldier. Each bone rattling off a sickening crunch, Ian looked towards Darius, put his hands in his pocket and waited for him to speak. Maybe even apologize.

But he didn't apologize. Shrugging off Ian's help, Darius finally introduced himself, said he was his own responsibility and disappeared onto the roof shutting the door behind him. It made Ian sad that the young man was all alone, he must have only been about seventeen/ eighteen years old. To be that young and be trapped in this new and strange world must have been hard for him. It almost made Ian want to go after him again and try and talk to him about where he was going to live and what he was going to do with his life but there was still the issue of the swordsman to sort and no matter how much his insides churned for him to follow Darius, Ian had to deal with the potential threat stood in the middle of Taliana's apartment. A threat he himself had brought to her door...

Alistair seemed like a nice enough guy, apart of Ian tried to recollect whether the name was familiar but nothing came to him. The guy just seemed shy, like Ian was when he wasn't trying to fit into this Green Lantern role he'd been forced into, a charade that was beginning to grow tiring especially since he was so badly beaten up in the first place. Looking Alistair up and down, examining his sword and then nodding with approval; Ian held out his hand towards the swordsman. He determined he wasn't a threat, otherwise, they'd all be in a heap of trouble right now and Taliana's apartment would be a battle ground. Smiling, Ian also introduced himself. There was no use trying to be secretive now with the people here, they all knew who he was and due to the Guardians' strict laws on Mental Tampering, Ian knew there was no way that the three of them were about to forget his face, who would? He was the incompetent Green Lantern and he had to live with that.
"Green Lantern of Sector 2814, Ian Wickes. Nice t' meet you."

Taliana readied herself for a fight when Darius finally came to. Of course who doesn't wake up flinging people around?! To her surprise, Ian didn't retaliate. If it had been her, she would have made sure he never did that again; accident or not. This new hero despite his sob story was not on good terms with her. Something about him was rubbing her the wrong way. Sure she could be a b***h, but usually only when necessary. The boy introduced himself like a civil human being before dashing away to her roof. Of course it's Ian he thanks. 'I guess letting a guy pass out on your floor doesn't get you any brownie points.' Taliana rolled her eyes as the speedster was out of sight. "Your welcome, a*****e." She cursed. The songbird made her way over to the kitchen area and cut her eyes over at Ian. He was a stubborn one that was for sure. "Are you gonna lay back down, or was it your intention to stay in pain, hm?" Taliana stated boldly. Her voice gave off the air that she was not asking for him to respond but to just do it. If he knew better he would just comply.

The siren took out another glass cup after Allistair and Ian introduced themselves. Taliana was fine with her identity being known to one other person. More than that was not okay in her opinion. So until she felt confident to open herself to these 'heroes' , nothing personal would leave her lips. They would have to figure that out themselves. "Nightingale, successor of Black Canary." The words leaving her mouth struck quite a chord in her. It was as if she were confessing a sin for the first time. She held the glass cup in her hand and simply seemed to let her cerulean orbs get lost within the space around her. In a way she understood how Darius felt. It was odd having this responsibility thrust upon you. A responsibility that came at the cost of losing someone precious to you. Yet somehow the loss of those people allowed another to come into your life. As if fate was playing it's own game of musical chairs. The four of them had intertwining destinies, and it was up to them to carry out a legacy they could only hope to fulfill. 'I wish you were here...Dinah' A tear gleamed as it streaked across her cheek. It was then that the glass cup slipped from her hand and shatter on the floor below. "Dammit..." Taliana spoke under her breath. The blonde wiped the tear from her face as she looked down at the glass. She was just frozen. Reality was finally sitting in.

Darius clipped his little joint and flicked it off the roof as the last bits of smoke left his mouth. He then began rapidly spinning his finger pulling the smell off of him and trapping it in a tiny twister that he sent away as it slowly dissipated, releasing the smell elsewhere. He would then walk back downstairs to the woman's apartment where she would just be standing there over broken glass, the look on her face one of distress, even if she wanted to hide it. Darius quickly made it next to her as with precision and sped he picked up every bit of glass and rushed to throw it out. He stopped in front of her to look at her.

"I didn't mean to cause turmoil in your home, and I know I have already, but I think me coming here may lead to something greater...." He said as he took her hand in his own and looked her in her also blue eyes. He didn't know if she was comfortable with him a stranger touching her but this was his way of making her feel the connection or letting her understand he was serious. The redness in his eyes was already disappearing, his highs never lasted long since his metabolism moved at basically light speed, burning away the THC just as quickly as it had entered him.

He would turn his eyes to Ian as he slowly placed her hand down and smirked at her before walking towards him.
"Alright Mr.Lantern, it seems we're gonna be stuck together, since you are the closest thing aside from my grandmother to a relative I have here, and first order of business....no one related to me can have their a** handed to them that badly. So first things first you need to heal, and I don't know how willing you are to get better quicker but I'd like to try something that might make you better faster than a good rest will. if I do it right your body should be in top physical condition or at least you're top physical condition, if it doesn't I think I can reassemble your atoms quicker than they can dissipate." Darius stated in a joking manner although he knew he was being completely serious.

With his ring healing him, Ian felt as though he would be flying about the place clad in green once again very soon. However, he still felt bad as Taliana chastised him for not taking care of himself; it wasn't his intention to upset her and turning towards her, you could see the awkward expression on his face as he tried to sit down on the sofa and hide his embarrassment. It failed, his face reddening deeper as Taliana continued to look at him. He knew in his right mind that things would just go smoother if he complied and did as he was told; that was the way things had always been with Ian. Sit down, shut up and lead a quiet normal life.

But then the ring attached itself to his finger and since then things had changed both for Ian's life and in a sense, Ian himself. It was like the ghost of Hal Jordan bled its way through the ring into Ian; although he wasn't quite as fearless as Hal was yet, it was getting there and instead of just complying and sitting and just resigning himself to his humiliation: Ian decided that it was good idea to try and be cheeky. He thought that it was up for debate that he might have the last word. It wasn't. But he gave it a go anyway.
"Well," said Ian, his brain trying to close it mouth before it said anything else but failing. "If it keeps me here, under your gorgeous care, why would I ever stop being in pain?"

He wanted to die there and then...

He didn't usually say that sort of thing, it was the damn ring, it had been doing this since he'd got it. It was turning him into something he wasn't and sliding it off his finger, Ian expected there to be some sort of change but the only change was that he was once again in a lot of pain. The ring was keeping the pain at bay obviously, healing Ian slowly but surely in order to keep him functioning but without it, the pain returned, his bones twinged and everything seemed to cause him pain. Even breathing was a chore. He slipped the ring back onto his finger. He didn't hear Taliana say anything, too preoccupied with the throbbing that was being soothed throughout his body. He just looked up to see Darius, holding Taliana's hand and a glass smashed up on the floor.
"W-w-w-what!? Is everything okay?"

Whatever had happened whilst Ian was numb with pain seemed to sort itself out quickly because Darius was soon looking towards Ian and talking to him. Albeit, it wasn't in a very nice way whilst using words like "stuck together" and the fact he'd got his "a** handed to him". It seemed as though even the youngest of them had no real respect for him, his performance against the Sinestro Corps member hadn't even been that bad, it just seemed, sudden... Maybe if I hadn't let him get the jump on me... Maybe if I... I wasn't so... Ian's train of self-doubting thoughts were interrupted by the talk of reassembling his atoms if things went wrong. He raised his eyebrows skeptically towards Darius, was he high? Did he really think that was going to wash with Ian? In reply, Ian just held up his hand and splayed out his fingers to show of his Power Ring. It glowed slightly, showing that it was active and at work. "I think I'm good..." Ian shrugged, his eyes looking around. With his ring, there would literally be no time at all before he was raring and ready to go.

ABDI'KARIM GHEDI

Martian Manhunter

"I'm not my predecessor..."

Abdi flew through the air, intangible and invisible to all. His mind was jumbled, cluttered and unclear, strained by the arduous flight and the racing thoughts that accompanied it. He had literally flown across the country in less than a few hours. As he slowed down about ten miles out of town, he began to home in on the signal. Thankfully, the Green Lantern was still alive, and seemed to be recuperating. He sent out a single message straight to the boy's mind, hoping that in his less befuddled state, he'd hear Abdi out.
"I'm an ally. I'll be there in 15 minutes."
Abdi, true to his word, arrived 15 minutes later, knocking politely at the door to the home in front of him. "I'm a friend of your luminous house-guest," he said, waiting for the door to open. If it didn't, he would seriously consider simply phasing through and making sure the superpowered human wasn't hurt.

"If you get in my way, I'll simply kill you."

Alistair nodded at both Ian and Nightingale, acknowledging their introductions. But before he could say anything else, the blonde had suddenly dropped her glass of water and he couldn't help but notice the stray tear she had wiped away. "A-Are you alright, Miss?" the teen asked, taking a step towards her. But something was telling him she needed her space. And so, before walking any closer, Alistair managed to stop himself and he simply let his gaze fall on the poor woman, waiting to see if she would respond.

It was then that Darius walked back into the room and spoke about something that would allow Ian to heal faster. Was that even possible? But it didn't even matter, because another voice soon rang in his ears, and Alistair turned his head to look at the door. It seemed to be another visitor. Who was it this time?

Company: Ian, Allistair, Darius and a stranger?
Thoughts: House Party?
Location: Home

[Taliana Lance][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative]

Taliana heard Ian say something but was too mentally pre-occupied to really comprehend it. Maybe this was the start of something new? As a strong believer in destiny, Taliana was sure that there was more to this chance meeting than she previously concieved. Her door opened and a whirlwind seemed to retrieve the scattered pieces of glass on the floor. She barely registered who it was. Taliana was lulled from her thoughts as she felt a hand touch hers. It was Darius holding her hand, and speaking some nonsense about him being here for a greater purpose."Hmph! Please..." Taliana hissed. She snatched her hand away. The siren didn't want any sympathy nor did she care what he claimed to be his reasoning for being here. In the back of her mind though, she knew his words were true. There was a reason for everything. Why her house?! She'll probably never know.

Taliana sighed before reaching for another glass. This time she filled it up with some water from the pitcher instead of dropping it. Taliana took a few sips before cutting her eyes over at Darius who sounded like he was cutting into Ian with his words. "We all lose sometimes, speedster. Ian is a big boy, so just let his ring do it's magic." Taliana spoke almost sarcastically. Underneath that shrew comment was more so a way of letting Ian know that he was more capable than he gives himself credit for. Plus she was definitely not gonna let Darius blow smoke up his a** when they had literally just met five minutes ago. "Your metabolic boost won't be ne~" Taliana stopped mid sentence as she heard yet another knock on the door. "You have got to be kidding me." Taliana cursed the fact that she had brought Ian here. A hospital would have been much more beneficial at this point. He was never going to get a proper amount of rest with all these visitors. Taliana strolled over to the door sheepishly and opened it.

Her eyes were met with the sight of an African American male in a combat suit getup. He was much older than her it seemed and the first person he mentioned was none other than the neighborhood Lantern. "Usually I date a guy for a while before I let his friends have a party at my house." Taliana mused. She looked to Ian before motioning for the man to come in. Taliana rubbed her temples as she took a seat on the couch next to Ian. "This is just a dream, and I'll wake up soon..." Taliana spoke under her breath to some what make herself accept the craziness of tonight.

ABDI'KARIM GHEDI

Martian Manhunter

"I'm not my predecessor..."

The enormous man stepped in, gingerly stepping over the glass and making his way to Ian. Looking on, he could clearly see that the boy was recovering, and rapidly at that. Deciding not to intrude on his mind while he was still recuperating, Abdi stepped away from him, murmuring a low Martian prayer to the wounded young hero. "I apologize for my intrusion on your home, ma'am," he began, clearing his throat audibly before continuing. "My name is Abdi'karim. I currently reside in Coast City, California. I hail from... far away."
With that, he sat down, looking quite uncomfortable in the very normal sized furniture. It wasn't that the chair was small, it was that he was almost 300 pounds and 7 feet tall. Deciding that he wasn't going to risk breaking this stranger's chair, Abdi shifted right in front of them, shrinking to about 5' 11" in height, and probably no more than 150 lbs. His suit accompanied the change, still remaining as tight and comfortable as before, simply... smaller. "As you can see, I possess the ability to shapeshift, among others. I had a bit of a sneaking suspicion that the Lantern here was in trouble, and I came here as fast I possibly could. I apologize for not arriving earlier, I made all haste to get here."

With: Taliana Lance, Zakarius, Darius Allen and Abdi'Karmin Ghedi

Ian had to half smile at how Taliana reacted towards Darius, the young speedster was kind of funny and it was nice to have someone around who's heart was in the right place; it was more than he could say for the Swordsman. He hadn't even spoke much save to ask if he was okay and whether Taliana was okay after her little episode, which was also weird in hindsight. He half wondered what was going through her mind as superhumans seemed to be coming out the rafters in order to invade her home. It seemed so odd, all of them together like this, in such a short space of time and how they were acting towards one and other. It was almost like fate had brought them together, Ian's defeat instead of being such a bad thing was soon turning into some sort of odd divine blessing. He was being introduced to more and more people like him and what's more three of the people here had the exact same power sets as the old Justice League. There was something at work here, something more than just happy circumstance that made sure Taliana was in the Slums to pick Ian up and that Darius was able to track them and was sent looking for them. It may have not been God but as a Green Lantern, Ian knew that destiny waited.

Destiny awaited patiently...

Thinking hard about the fact there were three potential replacement Justice League members in the room, Ian noticed the psychic intrusion in his brain a little before everyone else because of the severe amounts of mental training he underwent on Oa. It was friendly, it even stated as such but with the aid of his Power Ring and his own willpower; Ian quickly shut the doors to anything else in his mind to the intruder and replied back quite passive aggressively:
On most planets with the power of Telepathy, it is often considered rude to enter someone's mind without permission. Not wanting to come across too harsh, Ian hoped that the intruder would hopefully not do it again. For even the Guardians of the Universe had a great many rules regarding their own mental powers. Which begged the question who could this intruder on his mind have been, not many in Sector 2814 had telepathic powers. The odd metahuman here or their but they weren't like that, they didn't feel like that. It didn't feel human and scanning through the Galactic Encyclopedia his Ring gave him access to, Ian tried to find out who it could have possibly been. He even narrowed down his search to his own sector, to intelligent life forms and specifically searched for races with the power of telepathy. The pages of the book of Oa and many other books seemed to flip through their pages in his mind in a matter of seconds but the more he concentrated on his search, the more his focus was taken away from healing himself and the process slowed making him judder in pain. He was obviously still in bad shape if he couldn't research and keep up pain relief at the same time. He abandoned his search and waited patiently for the pain to ebb once again. Not soon after there was a knock on the door and a sound behind it, implicating Ian as the reason that the stranger was knocking.

Ian couldn't help but look towards Taliana and smile, raising his shoulders as if to say he had no idea what was going on. He could understand why it was somewhat annoying that all these people just seemed to walk into and up to her home with little to no consideration for her or her privacy. Some didn't even seem to care that Taliana did in fact have a secret identity she wished to maintain, as did Ian but it didn't stop them walking up to a front door apartment inconspicuously with a buster sword in hand or something, or zipping in and out as they pleased. However, Ian was soon more interested in the comment that Taliana made about him and her and well dating. Probably because it was more towards him, personally that his interest suddenly shifted. His eyes made their way towards her with a sort of half smile before making a comment:
"Well, as far as first dates go, I'd say this one's going pretty well, he he, I mean I don't have much to compare it to but you know..."

It was the same old thing with the ring and the Hal Jordan sought of bleeding effect; his stomach churned a little as he thought about what he was implying. The silly lines, the cheese of it all and the awkward delivery Ian always provided due to the fact he just wasn't the Hal Jordan everyone seemed to want him to be. It was beginning to get on his wick, no pun intended and as he tried to hide his embarrassment turned his attention to the new stranger whom had entered the fray.

The newcomer was huge but within a few seconds shrunk himself down and seemed rather content with himself even being a little secretive as he allowed each of his powers to be revealed in turn. He was like a good card player, enticing people with a sneak peek at the cards life had given him but never giving away too much. For if he did, he seemed to know it would be fatal. Nevertheless, the new stranger, despite his shrinking act seemed polite and a lot older than the rest of them currently gathered in the room. Ian looked up at him and sighing had to admit once again that he was the Green Lantern and that even though he had received quite the beating from Sinestro's Soldier, he was in fact alright.
"I'm fine really," Ian groaned "I'm a Green Lantern, there's no need to worry about me kind sir. I'm Ian Wickes by the way, I also come from Coast City."

ABDI'KARIM GHEDI

Martian Manhunter

"I'm not my predecessor..."

As Abdi had assumed, the boy had at least some degree of training when it came to shielding his mind from psychic intrusions. As the once-enormous man settled into his chair, he simply shot Ian a smile, a way of telling him that his mental prodding had been for his own safety, not for any malicious reasons. For a moment, the Martian studied Ian, not using his telepathy but simply looking him up and down. The kid was definitely that; a kid. The cheesy lines did a very good job of proving that. He seemed like a good fellow overall, though. "Mr. Wickes, while I completely realize that you are very capable of taking care of yourself, I simply thought it best not to take a chance. To be quite honest, your ring is far more important than you yourself. I don't want you to take this the wrong way or anything of the sort, but you must realize that you are far more replaceable than your... weapon." Abdi said the last word with just a hint of distaste. He didn't know why, but being in the presence of this Lantern was annoying him. He would definitely have to look in his Amulets for information on this later.
"That being said, I could not in good conscience let a stout young man of such moral integrity be put unnecessarily in harm's way either, especially when said harm manifests itself in the form of your most hated enemy. Once again, I am deeply sorry for not arriving earlier. While I am not arrogant enough to believe that I could turn the tide of battle by myself, I'm sure you would have appreciated the help."
Abdi looked at everyone else. A room full of superhumans, just like the Justice League. How strange that he, a Martian, and the closest replacement for J'onn that the universe had, was in meeting with a member of the Allen family, a Lantern, and this woman who seemed to manipulate sound. In addition to these, there seemed to be a young man with an enormously thick sword, who had arrived before Abdi. He was quiet. Very quiet. Not wanting to intrude, Abdi didn't peak at his mind, but he could tell just by the body language that this child was deeply conflicted, for whatever reason.
"I believe Mr. Wickes and I have made our introductions. Would the rest of you all be so kind as to introduce yourselves as well?" Abdi asked, waiting for an answer.

"If you get in my way, I'll simply kill you."

Darius wasn't shocked by Taliana's response, eh had just intruded into her home and stirred up a whole mess of trouble. After Darius said what he had he regretted it as he saw the turmoil on Ian's face as he seemed to go hard into thought, and after his second statement the guy looked at him as though her were insane but only held the ring up, stating he was good. Darius shrugged and smiled. At that moment a knock came the voice on the other end stated it was a friend of their bright green homie. Darius looked at him and stroked his index finger with the other finger like you did to a child who did something wrong. Taliana who had made sure Darius understood that Ian could handle his own, was also bewildered at the appearance of another guest, stating she had to be dating a man for a while before she let his friends hang out, that didn't take Darius by surprise he knew there was something there, no woman just let any man lay on her couch and recuperate.

Darius watched her as she went to get the door readying himself for any wild attacks, but she only opened the door to sit down tensed. Darius had nothing to say until he looked to the door and a man about three times the size of everyone in the room stepped in.
"Someone forgot to take their belt off of Wumbo this morning...." Darius joked as he looked at the man who suddenly began introducing himself after looking to Ian and murmuring to himself, his name was difficult to pronounce it sounded like he just put all the vowels and consonants in random order and gave himself a name. It seemed he was from the west coast, but originally was from.....far away, maybe he meant south Africa but why call that far away.

Darius studied the large, dreaded, dark skinned man, it would seem he also forgot a razor but Darius would digress. The man soon went for the seat next to Taliana but he realized he was way too Wumbo to fit in the chair so he shrunk down to around an inch or two shorter than Darius himself. Darius standing at a steady six foot. He then would begin to explain his ability as he stated he had felt like Ian was in trouble, and came here as "fast" as possible, of course to Darius his fast was obviously not fast enough.
"So...um Kareem? Can I call you Kareem, cause you're other name is kind of a mouthful....I'm gonna call you Kareem, are you like mentally interlocked with my good buddy here, cause you know, there's no relation obviously, and normal people don't just feel other people are in trouble, I actually had to watch the news to find this guy." Darius said wittily pointing out the obvious melanin difference, and the oddness of him just feeling Ian in trouble.

Darius would look over to Alistair then shake his head.
"I forgot, the present company. it's evident there is not a single normal person in the room, so I will respectfully retract my statement and close the door behind you as I go and think about what my life has become in a corner somewhere in the kitchen." Darius said as the door closed and before they could even blink he was in fetal position in a corner murmuring to himself "I'm not, I'm not a freak." He would say as he lay there. He got up a second later after Ian's lame line to Taliana and his introduction, as Kareem asked for an introduction of the rest.

"I am Darius Allen, a Speedster, and the current Flash, and I kinda don't appreciate that little thing you did there. Ian may be replaceable as a number in the corps but that's my uncles ring, and that ring has only been passed down to great men, so obviously Ian has something the rest of those jokers don't and I'd appreciate it, if you didn't make him look like another ring jockey bound for death...." Darius said this time his joking demeanor had left, he didn't know Ian well but he knew Uncle Hal, a man who's world came before everything, and obviously Ian was an heir to such will and Darius would not sit there and let some man from South Africa belittle him like that.
