The Old Mannor House

Upon arriving back at the Manor House, Nikolai parked the bently in the garage and proceeded to bring the groceries back into the house. While he put the groceries away his mind went back to the twins he met in the streets. "Those poor kids I feel bad for them.." Nikolai whispered to himself. "Feel bad for who Nikolai?" It was Adrian. Nikolai turned around and answered, "Some kids I met in the streets of town, I gave them a lift to their house." Adrian stared at Nikolai for a second or two until asking, "Nikolai I need you to locate our mysterious stranger, he has wandered off it would seem and I don't want Zach to find him first." Nikolai thought about it for a second before replying, "No need to worry Adrian I'll find him, now go return to the dinning room and keep that fox girl company." Adrian smiled and returned to the dinning room, while Nikolai set off through the house searching for the stranger, "Now where have you gone stranger?" Nikolai whispered to himself as he searched.

((I'm sorry guy's I'm going to have to take a small break my girlfriend is going through allot of issues at the moment with the loss of a close friend to suicide and i need to be there for her. considering i know how she's feeling and where she's coming from, i reapet HAVE to be there for her.))  

[Reaver Ikana]

Reaver was just leaving the library. He had scanned the entire library in under thirty minutes. He now went silently to one of the brothers room. When he opened the door he noticed the wet clothes and reconized them as Zaches. He noticed all of the alchemy books. Reaver had some knowledge in the field and he could perform basic weapon creating with it but using his Ikarium was so much more effective. "So most fledgling alchemists have journals with there successes and faliures etc." Reaver thought to himself. Reaver sent out a pulse and figured out every nook and cranny of the room. Reaver saw a small note book hiding in the wall behind the bookcase. Reaver used energy to lift the bookcase an inch above the ground and there was a cuberd in the wall. Reaver opened the cuberds door and found a small stack of very advanced alchemy books with with a small notebook on top Reaver grabbed all of them and then moved the bookshelf back. As he walked back to the living room he read the journal. "Hmmmmmm interesting." Reaver thought. He sat down in the living room and put the journal down being done with it. He began to read another alchemy book and his brain instantly stared retaining the data. he drew a circle under the desk with his nail. the circle when activated would hopefully shoot out spikes from the front. reaver continued reading, while listening around because he knew that somebody would be looking for them and he was listening intently that way he would know from where and when they would arrive.

Nikolai continued to wander the house until he picked up Reaver's unmistakable aura. "So you found your way to the living room? Interesting.." Nikolai stopped just before entering the living room, because of a sick feeling in his stomach. 'Truth be told Reaver I don't fully trust you' he thought to himself. Hiding his thoughts he spoke before entering, "Now if I enter in there Reaver do I have your word as a gentleman you won't pull anything?" Nikolai patiently waited for an answer...

Reaver was now done reading them all. "Well that all deoends on your own intensions. I am unarmed though.So you would have the advantage because this is your home turf if you decide to act... I'm surp[rised that Zach hasn't found me yet because I'm not exactly hiding my presence...." Reaver was sitting back relaxed on the couch.

Nikolai slowly entered the room striding over to reaver stopping only because he noticed the book. "Oh my you didn't go through the boys things did you?" Nikolai aske with a hint of contempt in his voice. He chuckled to him self and spoke to reaver in an almost inaudiable tone, "What are you? WISE? There are better ways to find out about people you miserable snoop. Now I'm going to have to ask you for Zach's book back." Nikolai's tone changed back to normal. He sat down feeling a little dizzy. He looked over at Reaver without expression, "I don't know what it is about you Reaver but something about you tugs at the back of my mind like a long surpressed memory.."

Reavers ear twitched. "No not WISE. actually i kill wise members.And only Zach's things. I was searching for any thing linking any of you to WISE. so far nothing but I'm not done yet. And i might know you. I have been alive for a very very very long time. I was a reaper. and like Zach i can travel to different plains or realms. But unlike Zach i can travel to the Reaper plain as well.". Reaver look at Nikolai. "You remind me of my butler Sven. accpet he is much better at fighting then most. Oh here." Reaver tosses the journal to him. "I'd like to tell Zach the flaws in his circles and why he shouldn't use them...where is he by the way?" Reaver was smiling now.

Nikolai looked puzzled at Reaver and for a moment said nothing. Finally Nikolai answered in a low tone so as no one but Reaver could hear, "As I'm sure you've noticed, my memory is shatered, and as for Adrian he would never join WISE, he's too inocent and tortured by the memories of his past. Zach despises WISE members cause though he won't admit it he broke into his brother's mind while Adrian was sleeping and discovered Adrian was almost killed by a WISE member... Though something about Zach did change after he came back from Psyren..." Nikolai looked to Reaver to see if he gave off any emotion which Reaver showed no signs of. Continuing, Nikolai whispered to Reaver, "Two broken children and a butler with shotty memory, all veterans of Psyren and hiding scars that no one will discuss with each other... Now do you understand this family Reaver?" Nikolai waited for an answer.

"So were are the two children now...one of them wants to hurt me and the other doesn't seem to know what to think about me. Zache probably wont be to pleased that i went though his stuff." Reaver then crouched down and extended his right hand, from his index finger came a metal spike that seemed to grow from his finger. This was his Ikarium, the metal that is made inside each Ikana. It is like their blood almost. ((see bio for more info.)) Reaver then used it to draw an alchemy circle into the floor. The spike then receaded back into his skin. He smiled and then sat back down on the couch and placed his left foot next to the circle. "So....where might they be?" Reaver said plesantly.

Nikolai watched as Reaver drew an alchemy circle, the worst part of it was how metal seemed to grow from his finger. Ikarium, Nikolai was familiar with the stuff, the children's mother was researching the substance shortly before she died. "Well, well. Ikarium, that explains a few things about you Reaver. As for the children well Zach hasn't returned from the shadows yet and Adrian.. I think he's in here somewhere," Nikolai repllied cooly to Reaver. Adrian had finished cleaning up breakfast and seeing the fox child becoming weary he walked her to her room. Finished with that buisness Adrian went to return to the living room to play the piano where he stumbled upon the stranger and Nikolai having a conversation. "Oh, sorry I hope I'm not interupting anything," Adrian trailed off. As he stepped into the room he noticed the transmutation circle on the floor. "A transmutation circle? So you're an alchemist? Well that's interesting. Sorry if I interupted anything." With that Adrian turned around and quietly started to walk out of the room his hand touched the other and he quietly touched the dagger in his pocket. He didn't know why but something tugged at him that something might happen.

Reaver smiled at Nikolai. When Adrian walked in Reaver looked at him and his eyes looked him over and he noticed the slight outline of a dagger. There was little that Reaver's eyes didn't pick up. Reaver watched as his fingers touched the hilt of it. Reaver smiled again. and had his left hand palm up resting on his leg. "So your an alchemist? Well your brothers journal has many circles that are flawed....Where is he because i want to show him his obvious mistakes. Oh and don't insult me by trying to attack me with the dagger in your pocket....If iI wanted to hurt you not even your butler could stop me." Reaver smiled menacingly. He wanted to show the three of them that they were somewhat powerless against them. But unless they attacked he wouldn't show them......well he probably wouldn't.

Adrian
Adrian stopped cold when the stranger mentioned noticing Adrian's little defensive action. 'Damn he noticed? And he read Zach's old manual? I thought he got rid of that.' Adrian thought to himself. He turned around trying to hide the minor agitation and fear he now had. "Nikolai, please leave the room, this stranger has asked a question that perhaps only I should answer," As Adrian said this he leaned against the wall which sent a minor shimmer through the room reseting the room to an untampored state erasing Reaver's circles. "Two Alchemy circles.. Were you expecting a brawl? Well now I should hope not. That's an old manual, both Zach and I have long moved past those mistakes, so why would you want to see him?" As Adrian finished his sentence he sat in a chair nearby Reaver. Nikolai got up and left the room but remained in earshot just incase something happened. Adrian smiled an innocent smile that disguised his great distrust for the man that seemed to manifest as the time ticked by. "Well.. I would like an answer Mr. Reaver was it?"

Reaver smiled back. "You can drop the pleasent smile. Your not hard to read. And no I didn't expect a brawl but your brother has quite unhappy feelings toward me...as do you. and I believe that being prepared is smart....as do you I would guess due to he fact that you have a knife....but if i decided to hurt you know that your alchemy would not be able to save you...or your brother....and not even his shadows could.....I am what you would call a reaper....well ex reaper.....I can travel to the six plains still. And as to why i want to talk to your brother and you actually is because i want to get out all of the unpleasentness between us.....I have one request when he gets here.' Reaver ran his fingers through his hair slicking it back again. He smiled. "No matter what he tries to do....don't stop him." Reaver had a very large smirk on his face.

Adrian & Zach
Adrian stared at Reaver for a second before returning to his normal neutral state. "I can agree to the majority of those terms, however I cannot alow you and Zach to go into conflict, you'd destroy our house... I also don't need to see him... die...again," Adrian trailed off. He looked out one of the large glass windows. The rain had let up some and was now a foggy mist, a light layer of fog began to enrapture the house. Adrian felt a shift in the house and knew what was happening; He turned back to Reaver. "No Reaver, I don't have bad feelings towards you though I don't approve of what you did to Kiera. It's just when your whole family is gone except for a brother and a loyal friend you begin to have a difficult time trusting people, being the older brother I have to watch out for Zach, though he's really the fighter. I am the diplomatic one who learned more from our mother. I don't know how long you've lived for but try to understand why things are the way they are," Adrian calmly explained. At that moment the shadow of the chair Adrian was sitting in morphed slightly as Zach walked out of it. At first he looked at Adrian and smiled, then he noticed Reaver and his anger flared slightly. "What are you doing here still? And why.." Zach trailed off noticing the smirk on Reaver's face and his old Alchemy Journal on the table. His anger grew. "You... YOU WENT THROUGH MY ROOM!? YOU SSNEEKING LITTLE-" Zach lifted his right hand and put his fingers into the position to snap them which would send a wall of flames at Reaver when Adrian grabbed his hand and clenched it shut until Zach calmed down abit. "Damn Adrian why can't you just let me torch him?" Zach questioned sitting in a nearby chair. Adrian smiled slightly, "Cause I don't need you torching the house by accident now Reaver has left himself in the open because he would like to discuss a few things. As Mother would say we should take the time to listen to those around us." Zach frowned slightly staring Reaver dead in the eyes with his mirrored stare, "Fine, but so help me if you try anything..." Adrian smiled and turned to reaver, "Well, let's begin shall we?"

Reaver giggled when Zach go angry and was about to attempt to torch Reaver. Reaver then looked directly at Zach. "Awww, is the little hadow walker getting angry?" This only made Reaver giggle abit more. "For such an angry child you listen to your broher srangely well. It's a good thing you do. He doesn't want to see his baby brothers head plastered against the wall." Reaver then stood up and began pacing. "Well Zach I know that you don't seem to like me because I kicked that girl as she was falling and tha just happened to break nearly all of her ribs but theres nothing you can do about it unless you plan to get revenge for it." Reaver then turned to Adrian. "The reason why I didn't want you to stop him was because I'm still a bit skeptical that someone who made these mistakes." He picked up the journal and tossed it to Zach. "Could ever become even a moderately successful alchemist. Now that the rain has let up and..." He looked out the window and the fog was lifting showing a bright sunny day. "the fog is gone I'd like to see were you two are in your alchemy. I can see you being some what sucessful but I really can't see Zach as being any good. If the house is your concern then why don't we step outside? Oh and as you can see i don't have any of my equipment on me. I left it in the room. I feel that combat alchemy is the best way to see someones proficency.....so can to show me?" Reaver was purposely baiting Zach who by nature should take this opportunity even if it goes agains't Adrian and Nikolai's advisment due to the fact that one he was already pissed at Reaver and two Reaver had just been constantly insulting him and was now giving Zach the opprotunity to try and show Reaver that he was not to be messed with. Reaver smiled. He hoped that they would all come out not only to watch but to participate.
