As soon as the door slides open, you find yourselves before a room filled with microscopes, test tubes and petri dishes. The lab itself is in an extremely clean condition, most likely sterile except for a few metal trays on which rested petri dishes that were knocked over to the ground. Against one of the walls are various charts and graphs with names of various specimens, individuals and clans described on them. Something could most likely be gathered from the information identified there, although it would require that you understand something about the technical language...
Your analysis of the room is very quickly interrupted however as a hulking figure that was crouched in the corner of the room is suddenly startled by the sound of the automatic door sliding open. With its grotesque, irregular, appearance you can notice a "IX" tattoo printed on its left temple, most likely indicating some sort of a passed test subject. Hastily, it limps towards you menacingly.

"WHO YOU?", says the twisted behemoth threateningly. "YOU OUT NOW!", it adds with a loud inflection.

Step 1
Try to calm the freak down before it gets carried away and hurts someone. Most likely not going to be an easy task since it already seems fairly irrate.
Handle Animal DC: 30 (All members can attempt)
Success: The freak calms down and lets you carry on. Failure: This is going to hurt.
Reward: 60 XP
Step 2 Go through the charts to see if there amongst this aggregate of test tube and petri dishes something could be taken of relative importance.
Alchemy DC: 75 Success: Identify the solution, grab it and pack up! Failure: Keep looking, add the total of your failed rolls to your new roll and repeat this step.
Reward: 150 XP

Hiru barely had time to react when the freak charged one of his squadmates with a clear intention of bashing her head in. They had all gotten lucky its wasn't very smart and a bit clumsy since it fell to the ground by itself without hurting anyone or making too much noise. Still, Hiru wanted to make sure that thing wouldn't get a second opportunity to hurt a member of his squad.
Seeing it was probably no that elusive, Hiru took Naru's advice and and weaved a few seals together as he raised his mask slightly and sprayed sticky syrup all over the floor (and the freak), hoping this would keep it busy.
Suiton: Mizuame Nabara (Water Release: Syrup Capture Field) Using this technique, the user can spit a stream of extremely sticky syrup that covers the ground and holds opponents in place. Any ninja capable of walking on water can avoid being stuck in the syrup, but needs to do so before being caught. Escape Artist DC: 12 + chk mod [19] + 2 per 10 ranks in Ninjutsu [08] = 39
Then, as soon as the sticky cunconction had been spilled, he chained with a Samehada attack at the, he hoped, immobile target. He still, however, kept Samehada in wraps. Bruises could be explained by its clumsiness and general restlessness, but cuts on the behemoth would clearly indicate it had gotten attacked.
