Trinity watched as Deora displayed her power. She was amazed at the control she had for one that recently aquired her power.

Her mind couldn't help but drift to an old animated series called "Avatar: The Last Airbender". The character Katara was a water bender, who with a lot of training she was able to draw water from anywhere even control the human body with something called blood bending. Just the thought of this girl getting into the wrong hands sent shivers down her spine. What could have prepared her for this? What would she be able to do against someone who could blood bend?

"Would you like to come with us to Vallhalla? You can learn more about your power and meet other meta-humans."

Deora's face reddened a bit, embarrassed at the amount of praise she was getting for something that seems rather insignificant to her. That little display was all she could do with any sort of control. She'd been able to do more at the spur of a moment, such as filling an alleyway with thick fog using just a puddle, but that was when she was under extreme stress; in the case of the fog, that stress was from running for her life.

"Valhalla?" She asked, the name once again reminding her of the comic books her brothers coveted. "Let me guess; that's your secret underground base? Likely stocked with a hidden jet and goofy matching tight outfits? Would I get to train in the Danger Room?"

Though she laughed at the name, the possibility of a warm place to stay was too good to pass up. "Would I...Get a room? maybe even a bed?"

Trinity nodded and said, "Pretty much except you can wear what you want. You would get a room, bed and food. Plus school, college and work if you want it to be. There are also doctors and scientists there to help, some of which are meta-humans as well. In return you help protect the innocent metas or not. There's one condition though, you have to be the one to make the choice to come we will not force this upon you." she let the girl take it in.

Deora had been slowly eating while they talked, and now looked down to her last bite of pancakes as she thought about her answer. There really wasn't much to decide on; she would gain a safe place to stay, food, and possible pay. All she had to do was agree. "Okay." She said, looking back up to them. "I'll come with you."

Gidget smiled, happy to hear a positive answer. The re-envisioned Valhalla was much more than it was before. Ever since the incident with her brother, and then the war, things were sketchy. Now that it is under new management, and even more black op than before, it is a true safe haven.

Gidget points over to the desert tray and asks, "You ladies feel like pie?".

"Feel free to have some, but I'm sticking to my diet." It seemed like since her parents died she felt the need to prepare herself, for anything the meteors could throw, which meant keeping herself fit. Which on the unfortunate side meant keeping to her diet. She blames herself for not getting there fast enough or find some other way to protect her parents. She had all of this power and yet she could not do anything to protect the people she loved. She had spent two years in the shadow realm training which in the real world was a matter of months. Even though she's 30 now, she doesn't look a day older than 21. Perhaps it was trait she had inherited from her ancestor.

Even though it wasn't the meteors that killed her parents or a meta-human, it was the government program called "The Daedalus Project" she needed to prepare for anything. She had heard rumors, perhaps speculation that the the program was hiring metas to aid in capturing or killing other metas. The thought discussed her and made it all seem hypocritical.

Deora looked over to see the desert tray, and knew the pies would likely be delicious, but she had to decline. The reason was a good one, though;"I hate to turn them down, but... I think I'm full." She said.

Gidget raises her arm and checks her wristwatch. A holographic calender pops up in front of her. She looks it over and smiles. The hologram disappears and she gets up from the table. "The rest of the day is free for me. Would you like to visit the facility now, or do you have some things you need to get from your home. Also, and I have to suggest this, I think you should let your parents know where you are going. I know you parted on harsh terms, but maybe they've come around. I've seen it happen before."

"I doubt they've come around." Deora said, standing up as well. "But even if they have, they moved away a couple weeks ago. The last time I went by the house it was dark. I would like to get my things out of my, um, apartment. I'd like to get back before the Rat Pack breaks in again."

"Wasn't there a cop in the diner? She could help us find your parents or at least give us a few tips. Do you think she's still there?". It was worth a shot, so Trinity thought but wasn't she blind? Perhaps she could speak from experience.

"I'm not interested in finding them, though. They showed that they don't want me around, so I don't want to be around them. I'd rather just move on." Deora said. "What I'd really like to do is get back to my stuff before I find that rat creep going through my clothes again. I spent the last of my money washing all of them last time."

Gidget looks at Deora inquisitively. She asks, "You keep saying rat creep. Who are you talking about exactly?"

"He's this strange guy that lives in the basement of my building. The meteor had some really weird effects on him. He's got the body features and senses of a rat, as well as the thought process, apparently. He's always sneaking around, trying to steal what food I have, and staying just out of reach when i try to retaliate." Deora explained. "And, I think he's stalking me. I know he can smell whether I have food or not, but I still catch him going through my stuff."

Moments later, Justine was leaving the station with her new guide dog in tow. The German Shepard's bullet proof vest had been changed to one with a handle on it, which Justine held onto lightly. She was still unsure about using a dog for her eyes, when she could almost see things just as well as before. Only, she could only see things when there was sound and only in short distances.

Hans had been to her apartment many times, when Rob had been shot in the arm a while back, Justine had taken care of him and the two had grown a strong bond. They had gone on an hour run every morning, so she knew he knew the area around her apartment, and how to get to the station and back. She felt him stop and she stumbled at first, but tried to relax and to trust him. She could feel him sit down and she looked down to him. "It's okay boy." She let go of the handle and patted his head. "Come on, let's go home." She smiled. She felt him stand and heard the beeping of the cross walk and the two continued down the side walk towards her home.

"Well," Trinity looks to Gidget "I guess we may have to be the rat exterminators." She couldn't help but want to challenge herself with all the training she had done. She was itching for a fight of some sort but she wouldn't want to use her skills needlessly if she didn't have to. It seemed by the sound of it that the rat creep is not a real threat, just a scavenger.
