Damien kept up with Kerana easily as they came upon the exit. Her question about where the culprit might park prompted Damian to reach out to the guy psychically.

"He hasn't parked. There is someone outside waiting for him."

She looked in the direction of the parking lot. "Several someones. They're armed and laying in wait in that unmarked van outside. They intend to abduct us when we go outside."

She then looked up at Kerana and said, "We can disable them, or kill them if you wish. Either way, we shouldn't let Deora go outside alone."

The spy looked over his shoulder at the sound of double timed footfalls. He swore under his breath and broke into a sprint. While running he took an opportunity to mutter into his wrist, "I've been made. Get ready, they're following me outside."

The unmarked van pulled out of it's distant parking spot and sped toward the Macy's entrance.

"Don't kill them! That would be bad!" Then the van was heading their way. "Back inside quick!" She and Damien ran back inside. Looking over her shoulder she was distracted enough to not see that she was going to bump into the guy they were after in the first place.

"I can't do much with him blocking the way!"

Theo did take a few steps back when he began to spin. Everything got sucked into it but....not Charles? Is he..immune to the effects of his creations? He'd have to stop Larry somehow before he destroys more. Then he got bound by...claws? He looked over and saw the group of women. He didn't notice them before since he was so focused on what was in front of him. Trinity was here too. He couldn't let Larry go on or risk him breaking loose. When he first tested his power he could lift around 1000kg. That was before his power dramatically increased after the Legion fight. He didn't have a lot of time test the full extend of it back then. After that came Damian who 'fixed' him which means he got even stronger.

"Heather....it's best you don't watch...even if this isn't Larry." Theo took a deep breath and lunged at Larry. He knew that if the punch connected...it would most certainly blow off his upper half.

Trinity couldn't teleport but quickly she made her way toward them. She then felt herself getting pulled into Evil Larry's vortex. The shadow beneath her feet stuck to the ground like tar. Then it stopped abruptly with claws? It was Rydia holding Larry down but barely.

She heard Theo asking Heather to not watch. She considered the fact he had untapped potential untested. If this was a normal fight there was no question what would happen next. But this was not a normal opponent, it got its power from fear, which appeared to be coming from Heather. She wasn't sure if Theo's plan would work, she caught up with Heather raised a small wall of solid opaque shadow. In case if she was mistaken.

Trinity held Heather by the sides of her arms and looked into her eyes with her glowing green eyes, and said, "Heather you need to focus. Don't let the this thing tarnish the honor of Larry's memory. He's not the real Larry. Larry would never intentionally harm you. Remember the Larry you loved…"

Deora had the idea to throw water ahead of the guy, then freeze it so he'd slip and fall. She didn't think she'd be able to throw the water that far, or freeze it before he got to it. She'd gotten better with her practice, but she still wasn't confident enough to try. She only had a small amount of water on hand in the flask on her hip, and she wouldn't get a second chance if she missed.

Her mind raced as fast as her feet, trying to think of another way. She tried to think of some other trick she'd learned. She remembered the power she'd shown in times of desperation. She'd pulled water out of the air and made pipes burst through walls. She pushed aside the negative thoughts as she unscrewed the cap of her flask.

With her best effort, she threw the water ahead of the man. She remembered the science she'd learned in Valhalla for the next step, and stopped the water, down to the molecule. If her power was as strong as she thought it could be, this would work.

The walls around her stretched outward, making the room much larger than she had ever possibly seen it before. It took on a pattern not unlike a chessboard, with interchanged black and white squares adorning the walls.

A thundering boom steadily grew louder as something approached her. It wasn't large by any means, but it's psychological impact would be known to Theresa. It was that woman. The one who felt no pain and couldn't die.

Theresa glared white hot death at the woman. The woman that represented what she had desired her whole life: an existence without pain. While she could repair herself quickly enough if she had the energy to do so, every step of the process was agony. The child ran away, leaving Theresa to take the pain. But this woman, Cassandra, didn't bleed, didn't bruise, and for all intents and purposes didn't seem to feel pain. Theresa had seen the woman act as erratic as many of the other experiments, but it was
Cassandra's invulnerability that enraged her.

Theresa feared pain, and this woman (in her mind at least) would be the worst way to experience it. Theresa's power existed to make the pain stop, but this woman never died.

Theresa leveled her rifle and fired as fast as her body would allow. She couldn't hear it, the reverberation of the gunshots echoed much too loudly, but she was screaming.

The evil Larry took the blow, but Theonis' fist sunk into the giant. Blood came out of the wound and from his mouth, just as it had when he was mortally wounded.

He began to cry, and looked down at Heather.

"Why weren't you there? You left me all alone. You were supposed to look after me. Mama told you to protect me."

Heather's lip quivered. His words echoed her thoughts. Trinity's words were falling on deaf ears. She couldn't help it when she opened her eyes and looked at history repeating itself.

Her guilt and fear fed the evil Larry further. He howled in agony as he strained against Rydia's grasp.

Rydia grit her teeth as the glowing cracks worked up to her wrists.

"Liv, you're going to have to leave me. If you cancel Ray's power, it might end this madness. But be careful, I saw something old when I looked earlier. As old as Silhouette."

Sill confirmed with Trinity. "She's right. I can feel another Ancient's presence in that room."

The spy had turned his head to look back at Deora once more. He saw her do something with her hands, but he couldn't make it out from the corner of his eye. Her file said she could control water, so her looked in front of himself to make sure he didn't walk into something she had waiting for him.

He was about to look down when he saw Kerana and the kid round the corner. He yelped and slid on the ice sheet Deora had made. His feet went out from under him and he landed flat on his back, forcing the air out of him.

Damien looked back at the entrance and saw the soldiers begin to pour out of the unmarked van. She used her telekinesis to turn the doors locks and buy them some time. The tension was building, and she dropped her disguise by becoming male again.

He kept his eye on the door while Kerana and Deora worried about the man on the floor.

He was hoping that would have killed him.

"Get her out of here Trin! Knock her out if you have to!" Theo told Trinity. He took a deep breath and steeled himself for what he was about to try next. The young head of Valhalla focused his power around his free flat hand. He'd turn it into a blade. Or at least it would have the same effect. If Larry wouldn't die from this...then his head would have to go. Then...he struck at Larry neck, hoping to sever it.

Trinity tried hard to get Heather to focus, but she knew her words were simply not reaching her. What evil Larry said was a very low blow which was exactly what he needed to feed off of Heather.

Sill confirmed with Trinity. "She's right. I can feel another Ancient's presence in that room."

She rubbed her head as Sill pointed out her observation. "Another one?"

Theonis was right she needed to get Heather out of here and stop feeding Larry her guilt. She placed her hand on her chin and forced her to look straight at her. "It's not your fault…" she jabbed her at the right point to render her unconscious. Hopefully her last words got through and she would give some time to think about them. As much as she wanted to drop in the shadow and place her somewhere safe, she couldn't for it would make matters worse.

"You got this Theo!" she called out to him, to hopefully fade out any hesitation. She knew Larry's death had an impact on him as well hopefully Theo is of clearer mind than Heather. She placed Heather on her shoulder then went toward where Sill sensed the other ancient.

The force of Theonis' blow would have severed the evil Larry's head, but it passed through the giant's neck like vapor. It had stopped moving. It was no longer straining against Rydia's spectral grasp. Heather's fear had made it physical, but Liv's power rendered it inert.

Elsewhere, Freya was staring curiously at the now still succubus.

"Da ******** who were asleep remained so as they were trapped in prisons forged from their own minds.

Rydia was backed up against the wall and hissing at something that had halted at her feet. It was rats. About a dozen rats had manifested before Liv had stopped the flow of Ray's influence.

The dust within Liv's bubble began to gather and shape itself. It took the shape of a torso, then arms extended from it, and then finally a head. It was a dark ghost of sorts, but it looked vaguely like an older woman.

Sill called out, "Eutha!"

Eutha, the embodiment of death's peace, opened her wrinkled eyes weakly. When she spoke, it was in the language of the Primantigua, which the learned would recognize as Latin. Her words were known to Liv, who possessed eyes that had seen, and Trinity, who possessed the presence of one who knows.

"Is that you, Silhouette? But you're not alone. I feel a wisp of Nymphe below us, and what I believe to be the child of Vivi and Vale...but it is weak, like an infant. Those around us possess the gifts of our parents."

Sill sounded almost panicked as she spoke in the same dead language.

"I thought you dead. What happened to you? Why are you...old? "

Eutha seemed to ignore the shadow's pleas as she looked at Liv, smiled, and then grunted, "I remember those eyes. So wonderful, and so terrible at the same time. Thank you for releasing me from the madness that had taken hold of me."

Trinity placed Heather down as Eutha made her entrance. She looked the ancient and she did look the part. They spoke and questions came to mind Who is she? Who is she talking about? Is she the source of Charles' power?

She took a defensive stance uncertain what to expect.

Theo didn't expect it to just pass through. When he tried to strike again he noticed that Larry wasn't moving at all. He pulled out his hand with surprising ease. Then he noticed Liv standing next to Charles. It seemed she canceled it out. But what was that language? Latin? He only knew a few words so he couldn't follow it.

Why was Liv even surprised at this point? Too many things have happened for her to question stuff like that. But there were more of them here? Or rather..descendants? Her eyes returned to normal.

"You're welcome, Eutha. But...was he your host? Or did you live as his power? And what's that about Nymphe and that child of Vivi and Vale? Sorry for the questions and all but we need to know." Liv questioned Eutha. Perhaps not the best way but she was tired.

Theresa's fear had become rage, and the rage tore through her idea of Cassandra like tissue paper. The strange checkerboard world around her dissolved, and it was replaced by the room she was brought to by her captors.

Eutha's face managed a worn smile as she watched Liv.

"Such an inquisitive mind. You humans were always my favorite for that reason. Such short lives, but you always want to learn as much as you can during them. Crosis scoffed at the idea, but I found it rather charming."

She then looked toward Trinity's shadow and scoffed, "But really, Silhouette, the fact that you couldn't feel the other beings here is disappointing. Did those millennium in Umbra's realm dull your senses so poorly, or perhaps your brother's treachery took more than just your sanity."

Sill paused for a moment to consider what she just heard.

"You knew?! If you knew, then surely some of the other's must have known. You knew and did nothing?!" she was almost shouting.

Eutha's smile faded. "The trauma of losing your physical form must have done more to your memory than I thought. A shame, especially since I don't have much time to catch up with you. Perhaps the one's with the eyes can peer into your being and find your solution."

Sil was growing more impatient as the elder ancient spoke. "Enough of your side stepping and vague hints! If you know something, spit it out."

Eutha sighed and looked at Trinity, "I remember you, or at least the one that was made a pawn. It's truly marvelous that you can contain Silhouette without losing yourself. Good for you."

She looked among the group and spoke English so that all could understand.

"This human, Charles, has only been my host for a short time. It was Eclipse's doing. He found a way to contain my very being ages ago. I have aged because Silhouette's brother has been siphoning my power since he took me captive. I suppose he was done with me, because he betrayed Charles by inserting me into him. The poor man was just looking for a solution to, what is it you humans call it...cancer. Isn't that funny Silhouette, that they made a name for those suicidal bodily functions?"

"I regards to Nymphe, Vivi, and Vale, I was merely commenting on their familiar yet weak presence here. If I had to venture a guess, there is a being made of water below us. And I suppose that foolish child, you know the one Silhouette, the one that made herself a tree out of spite, got herself killed and re-birthed herself from the ashes."

She paused for a moment and took another deep breath.

"I don't have much time. I know because I can see my brother waiting for me, but he assures me that I have a moment to answer a few more questions. Then I'll have to be killed, or I'll be forced to kill you. Fire should do it. That way there's no danger. But I digress, ask away."

All of those names meant nothing to Theo. Children of who and what now?

"Okay...." He looked at Trinity." You understand any of this? This seems very important and I have no idea who all of those people are that she mentions" Theo said to her. He had so many questions but he didn't wanted to waste her time if she has little.

"We do have a being of water and I am guessing you mean Matron, the tree. Were you the source of Charles's power or or was he your host because his power was similar? I mean I'm guessing the later is the case since Trin and Sil both have shadow. And..does that mean that Aurora or Lucent could be in me? Sorry for all of the questions but...yeah.." Liv said as she glowed briefly." I've been told my power is the same as Lumen."
