More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Angel bit onto her bottom lip as she took her time before closing her eyes and letting out the breath she had been holding in. She landed gently on her feet and laid her wings against her back. She smiled to herself before she nodded and began to walk through the subdistrict once more.

Deora was still nervous about the cause of the alarm. How could they get it under control so quickly? The troubles she was used to never got resolved that efficiently. Then again, they were in a building that supposedly housed only super-humans. Who knows what they had on hand?

Kerana's offer of food served to pull her away from that thought, but she shook her head. "I've kinda gotten used to not eating much over the past month or so, and I had a big breakfast today. I think I'll be okay for a while. What is there to do during free time around here?"

North jumps slightly when Trinity's hand is offered to him. He shakily takes it and pulls himself up. "Yea, I...it looked like my pet, and...oh god what was that thing?"

"I'm sorry for your loss North..."Trinity patted his shoulder, then answered, "As for that ting, I dont know for certain what it was. But one thing is certain it becomes what it eats and sure enough it wanted to become on of us. Another thing we've figured out is it can be fried." she folds her arms, "Unfortunately I don't have any elemental projectiles to protect me. Heck I was afraid to shadow travel for fear it would follow me and that I wouldn't see it in the darkness."

She stood straight and paused. She couldn't see them well, but they looked good enough to her. She smiled brightly. "Wow.. I'm going to have eyes.... not just glass eyes. But real eyes...." She laughed softly.

Gidget walks over to Justine and says, "Now all we need to do is put them in. I'm going to give you two options for doing this. One way is to put you under and have them do their thing. This isn't going to require invasive surgery, the eyes will do all the connecting on their own. The thing is that it is going to feel very strange, and near the end extremely painful as they attach themselves to the portion of your brain that controls sight. Which is option number two. Some people get really uncomfortable about being sedated, but I would highly recommend you don't try it conscious.

Either way, it is going to take twenty-four hours for your body to accept the augmentation, and for them to properly calibrate themselves to your mental patterns. You'll have to keep that wrapping over your eyes for that time."

North rubs his temples as his commander finally get the door open and approaches him and lays a hand on his shoulder. "You can take the rest of the day off son. Lord knows you've earned it."

North nods and mumbles, "I think I'll go the lounge and have myself a drink...or two." He looks to Trinity and mutters, "Thanks for saving me Ms. Smith." He then takes his leave, shuffling past the incoming clean up crew.

The commander looks down at the smoldering flesh pile and whistles. He says to Trinity, "Like something out of that John Carpenter movie. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if we hadn't killed it just now."

Further down the hall, as he makes his way toward the lounge, North grins.

Justine bit onto her bottom lip as she took a few seconds to think about it. "I don't think I could stay awake during something like that." She nodded to herself for a second. "So I'm pretty sure it's okay to put me under." She smiled. "So.... the day after tomorrow I could have my sight back.... if everything goes right." She laughed. "Thank you..." She smiled. "It really means a lot to me..."

Gidget smiles, overjoyed to see the expression on Justine's face. "It is my absolute pleasure. If there is one thing I like about these abilities of mind, it's that it allows me to help people. So what do you say? Are you ready now, or would you prefer to wait a bit?"

Justine laughed. "Are you kidding me?" She paused for a few moments to think about it, even though she knew she mind was already made up. "I don't see the point in waiting. I mean, unless you think we should...." She didn't want to see to eager, But then again, they were talking about giving her sight. Either way, she would have to wait a day or two for everything to sync up... But still...

"Well alright then. We'll just head over to the sterile room and get started then. Feel free to ask any questions on the way there." She turns and starts humming a tune so that Justine can tell where she is as she walks.

Justine nodded as she followed the sound of Gigdet's voice. She smiled softly. This was insane. The whole day had been crazy. But who would have know that she would be getting her sight back today, or really ever. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of it. It was crazy really... But at the same time, she was calm and relaxed. She shrugged it off as just one of those things and listened to Gigdet's song.

Trinity nodded to North as he left. She stood next to the commander and folds her arms, "I hate to think about that either. I do fear that there may be the possibility that either more are out there or there'd be more to come. Do you think the researchers can analyze what's left? Perhaps figure out where it came from. I really hope there aren't any more of those critters..." Trinity paused for a moment in thought I think Gidget may know something else about the blob... I'll be sure to ask her once I see her. Though that may be a while considering she's helping a blind woman see. That may be an all nighter... Trinity looks to the clock and realizes that it's almost dinner time and that she said that she would join Deora for dinner. It was a good thing that she wasn't the main course for now.

Justine nodded as she followed the sound of Gigdet's voice. She smiled softly. This was insane. The whole day had been crazy. But at the same time, she was calm and relaxed. She shrugged it off as just one of those things and listened to Gigdet's song.

Gidget moves down the corridor to a set of stainless steel doors. She pushes them open to reveal what looks like an OR with a light mist. "This is the sterile room. The mist constantly destroys harmful bacteria in the air and on any surface it comes into contact with. There is a chair over here. Go ahead and have a seat, and then we can get started."

North weaves through the lounge and into the adjoining restroom. He makes sure that no one else is in there with him, and he locks the door behind him. He walks up to the mirror and grins, impressed with how easy it was to fool Trinity and the others. He flexes his hands a few times, allowing the bio-matter to reshape itself in no particular pattern.

He has a base form. Now he just needed to find a way to free the creator. He recomposes himself and unlocks the door. He strides up to the bar and asks for a martini.

Trinity excused herself and left the room. Even though the thing was dead she was stirred up at the thought that there could be more out there that we don't know about. She shifted her direction from toward the cafeteria to toward the lounge, she felt she needed a drink to calm her nerves a bit.
She goes to the bar and asks for a glass of wine.

Justine paused for a moment when she felt something against her skin that she couldn't see. But when Gigdet spoke, telling her about the mist, she assumed that was what she felt on her skin. She nodded and took a deep breath. Letting it out slowly, she smiled before she walked over to the chair. She turned back to Gigdet. "Are you sure this is going to work?" She began to chew on the inside of her cheek.
