Amy turns to her faithful companion "steed"…er "unicorn" … er "pegasus" … er "insert some freak of nature here" … and she kneels down. She places a hand on either side of the creature's face and scrunches it up as she speaks.
"Oh Thistle! emotion_kirakira Did you see that mean old Angel biatch dis me?! crying Just because she's a holy roller, she thinks she can go and dis witches that can transmogrify clothing whenever she so pleases herself! crying What is this glorious world coming too? Angels are suppose to be sacred magical beings. Beings that are pure and good…like you Thistle." emotion_kirakira
Thistle stares at her wide eyed and doesn't really hear a word Amy has said because she was more interested in wanting to watch the nearby butterfly that had landed on the moldy box, but she really couldn't because Amy had a grip on her face and was squishing the heck out of it. crying
As Amy continues to smash up Thistles face, Thistle tries to look to that delicious looking moldy box and her mind drifts to reflect on her life with Amy.
Confessions of Thistle:
At fist it was magical. Thistle was so young and unaware. A potential match made in heaven, but what goes up must come down and sadly "fate" is like a cruel b***h mother. But I digress.
In the beginning, Amy was ever attentive. Lots of love and snuggles for Thistle and Thistle flourished, too young to realize she was different. As time passed and Thistle grew mentally, she started to realize that she wasn't like Amy. You see, Amy had skin and thumbs. She walked on her hind legs and didn't have hooves or a tail. Each time Thistle passed by a mirror she grew more and more aware of these differences and it left her with deep philosophical questions. Questions like "What am I?" and "Where did I come from?"
As time passed, Thistle learned and grew mentally. Velcore, Chef Karrie's dragon, taught her much and at first she thought perhaps she was a dragon, but again Thistle noted distinct physical differences. She also noted she wasn't like any of Kits Rose's pets either. Then one day, while at Aqua Springs, a pony showed up and to Thistles amazement, it was practically like her. Hooves, fur, mane, tail…all of it except a horn and wings and Thistle was thrilled. Thistle realized this day, she was indeed a horse! A HORSE and not a human baby like Amy kept insisting.
Why does Amy keep feeding Thistle people food when she's clearly a horse? Frankly, it baffles Thistle. Amy keeps treating her like some sort of baby and she's a horse wanting to do "horsey" type things like run and graze in a vast open fields. Things a normal horse does. But Amy has her cooped up in this small house feeding her "people" food and insisting she is a baby.
Months pass and Thistle notices she isn't getting bigger physically, but mentally she's growing. She learns to say a few words and becomes more aware of her surroundings. But, she's still very far from being able to express how she feels. Why isn't she growing? Is she doomed to stay tiny forever? Trapped remaining a "baby" physically while her mental capacity grows?
Time passes and resentment sets in. Clearly, Amy is the source for her stunt in growth and being a witch, Thistle thinks Amy has probably suppressed her "growth hormones" in an effort to keep her at bay. Keep her a prisoner as a "baby" forever much like Repunzel trapped in a tower for the duration of her life.
Fast forward and by today's standards, Thistle is 2 years old going on 3. At age 3 a horse has the maturity level of a 17 year old human child. Thistle keeps a very low profile and pretends for Amy just to keep the peace and Amy in the dark. And as Thistle longs to be like a real horse, she keeps up the facade unsure of what Amy would do if she found out the truth. But Thistle dreams of the day she can escape. Escape and run free like a real horse should. Perhaps grow into the beautiful majestic Mare she's suppose to be and find a stud Stallion she can mate with and have a colt of her very own.
But the glorious dream is again shattered as she hears Amy speaking to her. "Thistle! Are you listening to me?" Hesitantly and with a bitter sweet bite to it, Thistle rolls her eyes and says a simple "yes" as to appease Amy and make her life sentence tolerable for now.
