*Faerin followed behind Sarurn quietly. There were very few times in his life that he felt awkward, and this was one of them. He was known to flirt with women, he did it quite often. And naked women were nothing new to him. But this was different. Athene was a member of the royal family, she... Annnd Faerin's mind continued to race as he walked along the path behind Sarurn.*

Sarurn stopped suddenly, "Is something wrong Lord Faerin?" She turned to face the elf. "If you don't want to do this I can show you to other areas of Athene's garden... I have no intention of causing you discomfort, mother sent me here to keep you entertained." He started to reach for a secret in Faerin's mind which was raised to the surface but caught himself and pulled away. It was rude to look into guests and Faerin was just that at the moment, a guest.

*Faerin caught himself, and cleared his mind.*

"No, no, everything is fine. I was just not expecting beauty of this level in a garden of your world. Athene has grown much since I last saw her, and her skill with her natural talent as well. I thank you for showing this to me."

*Faerin resumed his normal confident stride and began to walk next to Sarurn again.*

"Let us continue."

A smirk slid across Sarurn's face for only a second and it was gone. He was contented to have picked up a hint or two that Athene's secret crush was not in vane. "Yes... from here on we probably shouldn't say anything... It's only a little farther." Sarurn's eyes watched the ground as he was not as sure-footed in such a muddy/sandy terrain. He took several large steps of of the trees and looked up as the cool air sent a shiver down his back. "Athene..." Sarurn called.

Athene was laying all but five yards away, fulling exposed to the bright light of the sun. She didn't open her eyes at her brother's voice, she simply replied, "Go away Sarurn... I'm a bit busy right now..."

"Too busy to see the guest I've brought you?" Sarurn's tone was humorous and a grin spread wide on his face. "Don't worry, I'm sure he'll understand...

"Wha-?" Athene started as she sat up suddenly, arm over her eyes to shade them from the light so she might see who he was talking about. Her dear companion Vife was on her, wrapped and spread to cover her as she nearly fell off the side of the sunny rock in surprise. "Oh-! Ah!"

Equanid's head popped out of the water and she gazed daringly over at her brother. "Who did you bring?" she asked as she swam for the edge of her mini lily pond.

Athene's body was modestly hidden by the rock, her eyes peering over it with curiosity and adoration.

*Faerin waved to the two girls. He hadn't expected Equanid to be here, but it did not change anything.*

"Good afternoon Miladys. How are you both today?"

*Faerin directed this more towards Athene, but did not exclude Equanid as he switched his gaze between the two.*

"G- good day Lor- Lord-" Athene stubbled over her words.

Equanid interjected, "Lord Faerin, it's good to see you. We're quite well, relaxing as best as us girls know how. What has brought you to our neck of the woods?" She tossed a small glare at her brother but smiled sweetly at Faerin, as she lifted herself out of the lily pond and onto the grass.

A water horse suddenly sprouted from the water and shot a short jet of water at Equanid. The jet froze before it hit her and tumbled solidly back into the water. The water horse made an unpleased noise and disappeared beneath the lily pads again.

Athene smiled over the rock at Faerin, her eyes locked. "I- You-" Athene took a deep breath and regained some of her composure. "What do you think of it?"

Equanid got an awful smirk on her face and casually splashed a bit of water over toward the trees with her hand. Before long she had soaked and frozen Athene's clothes, without her sister having any idea.

Sarurn stifled his laughter.

Faerin smiled at the two girls, they were taking this far better than he had expected.

"I am very well, thank you Equanid."

He turned to Athene. Blushing slightly, but not noticeably.

"And Athene... your talent is one that would be respected by any Elf. This is the most beautiful thing I have laid eyes on in this world."

Faerin meant every word he said. Had he known of this place earlier he may have never left this garden. It reminded him of his home more than anything that he had ever seen.

Athene's eyes lit up at Faerin's words. "Thank you!" She seemed cheerful and as though she had forgotten about the whole being naked part, but she hadn't. Athene smiled at him, squatted down behind the rock and reached for her clothes laying behind her. Lifting the dripping cold clothes which were so frozen they were stiff, Athene growled under her breath. She flung the clothes like a disk at her sister, "Those were my favorite breaches!"

Equanid ducked and covered her head as the disk of clothes flew through the air and skipped across the small lily pond, pulling out a few lilys as it went.

"No," Athene said as she lept out from behind the sunning stone, vife wrapped around her as her clothes would have. She moved for the displaced lilies, forgetting her company and composure... she really did care deeply for every little plant.

"What? What happened?" Equanid said as she looked about to see her sister running past the water.

"Equanid!" Sarurn said in a semi-reprimanding way, though to her it was a joke.

One of the lilies had lost it's root completely. Athene lifted it, held it above her head, eyes closed and there, nearly instantly the lily began to grow a tiny root. She placed the lily back in the pond, placing the other lilies around it, and smiled quietly. "At least you have a chance now..." Athene's bright eyes turned back to Faerin. "So, what have you seen yet?" She asked as she stood up.

Sarurn and Equanid continued to make faces at each other.

*****************JUST OUTSIDE THE BARRIER OF THE CITY***********
OOC: We Arrive! Like that didn't take years!

IC:
A long trek through more then one forest and through a narrow detour around the lake, Contay gave no reason for wanting to avoid the area, but she led the way. The city became visible and the trees became greener, lusher but more spaced out so the dawning light presented itself more readily to them.

Contay's pace slows very suddenly and she walks forward with her hand outstretched as though blind. She retracts her hand suddenly but doesn't look in pain. "Mother placed a static zone around it, I'll have to thank her later." Contay dug her boot into the ground and made a deep noticeable line. "Don't Cross Here." Her said sternly as she stepped back and relieved the Vay Sword from it's sheath.

Contay proceeded to draw a circle in the dirt before the line, about four feet in diameter. Using her sword to do some other odd measurements Contay took a minute to draw in the soft earth and triangle with a circle at each point and from the center of each circle a line drawn to a single point in the very center. (If that didn't make sense I'll be more detailed or draw a picture if you need) Contay would not be bothered as she worked out the design, too deep in her own mind to acknowledge the existence of anyone except for them to move when in her way.

Once finished she let out a long drawn-out sigh and looked toward the dawning light. "We still have a couple of minutes... You have all undertaken very grave task, I-" her words of gratitude failed her. "Thank you." She finally said, tears stinging to keep from her eyes.

Contay remained quiet for a long time, mumbling to herself, "He has to be here... he wouldn't have lied about this. Not when he's getting what he wants." Her head lifted suddenly she looked sharply to the north, an odd- miserable kind of smile on her face as the strong presence of her elder brother made its way toward them.

"Right, well.... I'll say 'You're Welcome,' when we get out of this alive."

Trent surveyed the design in the ground. If it was a seal of some sort, he had never seen it's like before. He gave it one last look before turning to Contay.

"Is that a seal of some kind? I was under the impression we would need my sealing arts? Not that I mind of course.

Contay nodded. "We will need your sealing art. This is simply so everyone stand where they should to maintain maximum power. Feel free to scribe in anything you think we might need... This is half of a primary god we are banishing..." Contay stood at the middle point and placed a circle on the ground, "this is where all our power will be directed." She points to the east circle (in front of the barrier line), "The embers will stand there"
Turning to the north west circle and pointing she says, "that's where you, your sister and your friend will stand.
Lastly Contay gestured to the south west circle, "that is where I will stand with Justice..." her eyes searched north again to the approaching energy, though he was not visible yet.

"Well then if all we have is a few minutes, I need to get to work."

Trent lifted his hands and in a burst of flame, his bo-staff was resting in his palms. He lowered the staff and held it vertically, so that it was parallel to his body. Trent began to chant in a low mumble, the words that left his tongue reverberated in ways a mumble does not. The next instant, both ends of the Bo-Staff ignited with a purple flame. Trent fixed his eyes on a location exactly one foot away from one of the points of the triangle. He jabbed his staff at that point, his staff penetrating into the earth. Trent began to dance around the staff, pulling it [the staff] with him as he moved. The staff cut through the earth like a hot knife through butter, and behind it, it left beautiful carvings alight with purple flame. These carving came together as he dance more and more, leaving complex symbols that surrounded the triangle. After what Trent counted to be about three minutes, he finished his design. As he pulled the staff from the ground, the entirety of it became enveloped in fire, and it disappeared in a whif of smoke.

"My grandfather taught me that. I'm the only living person that knows this seal. When I activate that, Raedra will manifest physically, and she will be able to bind anything so that it cannot move, let-alone lash out at one of us."
