I work in a bookshop, as some may know. Today I had the honour of placing the Lady of the Manner's "Gothic Charm School" book on the shelf. It's essentially the same as what's on her website but it's beautifully put together.

What are you reading at the moment?

eek You... you....lucky~!
I want that book so bad.

Uh...anyways~!
Richard Cavendish - The Black Arts
Lee M. Hollander - The Poetic Edda
Anne Rice - The Blood Canticle

I must say; Anne Rice seems to throw quite a fit in-character, what with the BIG CAPITAL LETTERS and exclamation points! ( exclaim )

Yeah, I heard she went crazy. Good times.

I've been reading the same, like, five books for ages. I keep jumping from one to the other.

Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake (hiiiighly recommended, it's overflowing with dark whimsy.)
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
Northern Tradition for the Solitary Practitioner by Kaldera and Krasskova
Trickster Makes This World by Lewis Hyde

I have "Walking the Twilight Path" or something hidden somewhere, which is like death spirituality, but I haven't gotten around to starting it yet.

I heart Lolita.
*squeal*
Even if I don't understand all of Nabakov's puns in French, because...I don't speak French. At least, not enough to understand them.
I wonder how many looks I'd get if I brought it to college with me...
Though, I plan to take Cavendish with me, anyways, because I want something to do for those couple of days were I show up early so I can definitely be on time.

*writes down other San books for later viewing at book store*

I never finished Lolita. Now I wanna.

At the moment I'm reading Princess Ben, I think the title is The Thief of Always, ummmms I just got done re-reading Rebel Angels. Also A Whisper of Blood...its about vampires.

Tracie has all my Wiccan/Pagan books at the moment. <333333333

Right now I'm reading "The Prince" by Nicolo Machiavelli.

It's not an ordinary book, course. sweatdrop But I like reading philosophy or somewhat historical. May be next lime it will be novella or fantasy, but right now - "The Prince", "The Prince", "The Prince". heart

Very interesting book. And it has many useful ideas (really useful!) about "how can leader of group can successfully communicate with others members".

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

Have decided Lolita is probably the most beautiful book ever written. Would give Nabokov my heart, but Caravaggio already has dibs.

le sigh.

Currently reading "Finch" by Vandermeer first and foremost (pulp PI crime meets cyberpunk - ftw!) with a HEAP of stuff still on my list.

Also reading "Henry" by Starkey and "Queens Consort" by some woman wot I can't remember.
