Family: Father: Silverwind – A racing star from Cloudsdale in his day, but once he met Belle he traded his racing days for more simple pursuits.
Mother: Soothe Belle- A nurse at Ponyville General Hospital. She met Silverwind after a particularly nast accident he had and it was love at first sight. They have been together since.
History: He was born in Ponyville. There was a good chance that with his earth pony mother that he would not have had wings, and his father was more than ready to except that. When he did turn out to have wings, they were extremely small.. Even for a newborn Pegasus and they didn't grow much by the time he was a colt. He thought he would be earthbound forever... Yearning to fly with his father and the other Pegasi... He would run and flap his little wings, slowly getting them stronger. From then on as he grew so did the wings, until one day he took off! He was like a shot out of a cannon! He had finally made it to the sky! Once in the air he finally smiles and started to sing, his voice rang out though the clouds.

EDIT: Sorry, I was wondering...would it be okay if, since we're allowed two atypical ponies, I make Mirror Shards a crystal unicorn pony, or would that not be allowed because he was already approved and is in play? He was actually meant to be one from the beginning, which kind of went with his glass-working, but since I didn't know the status of crystal ponies at the time, I just submitted his application as a regular one. ^_^; If not, though, I completely understand!

EDIT EDIT: Also...I'm so sorry, I forgot he was originally from Canterlot. Is it alright if I change that as well?

Special skill: He always had a knack for machines, evident by his rather early discovery of his cutie mark when he was barely a yearling. But his true passion is oriented towards those of the true vehicle variety, like trains and buses! Thus, when it comes to getting down and dirty with bits and pieces of old dinky metal and gears, he's able to truly work his own 'magic' of sorts. He's always been pretty resentful of non-earth ponies, especially pegasi and their natural ability to zoom off to, well, who knows! He thus wants to give a similar ability to the less fortunate breeds that need to walk around to get from place to place, to give them their own jump start on others. Though, given his rather young age for something like that might make it take some time to achieve...but hey, he was always ahead of the game and has probably enough energy in him to light the entire city! He's bound to reach that goal one day.

Once he got out into the world he became noticed by royalty, not only for his genius but for the potential threat he could become. he was unhealthily obsessed with dangerous magic and seemed to create amazingly powerful spells every so often that though they had valid uses int he world they could easily be misused to cause horrible problems even death. And so he was taken into the royal researching groups as both a way to use his genius for the better and to keep a powerful eye on him.

Night Hawk has grown up in the moonlight, and thus doesn't know of the happiness of day, until he was given the task of seeing over the dreams of the day dwellers. sense that day he has been fascinated with them. but he has ran from his people and is now an outcast. he currently is making the difficult process of adapting from being awake at night to being awake at day.
