Welcome to Hogwarts!
Dear Students,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.Along with school rules. Term begins on October 4th.
Extra note for newer students, Harry Ron and Hermione are in their fourth year, while Ginny is only in her first.

Uniform
First-year students will require
Three sets of plain work robes (black)
One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)
One formal dress attire (Suit or dress), for any special events that might be held.
Please note that all pupils' clothes should carry name tags.

1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)
1 set glass or crystal phials
1 telescope
1 set brass scales
Students may also bring an owl OR a cat OR a toad.
School Rules.
Students cannot enter the Forbidden Forest, except for detentions with Hagrid or the occasional Care of Magical Creatures lesson.
Fighting is against school rules.
Students are to remain in their common rooms and dormitories at night.
Students need a slip signed by teacher to take out books of the Restricted Section in the library.
Never use the Unforgivable Curses on a Muggle, witch, or wizard.
Use of magic outside of Hogwarts is strictly prohibited.
3rd years and above can visit the village of Hogsmeade at the weekends ONLY if they have a signed permission slip.
