Youre missing the point, your enemy doesn't have to be your enemy. People would prefur not having to fight at all, than to battle onward. Think about it, some nations we had gone to war with have become strong allies.

i agree. i am not saying we should start a war but when at war you should so no mercy and when one of your own joins the enemy he is to be treated like an enemy.

The Zurgs and the Gaians arent enemies, sure some sections are in conflict with each other, 09 tried diffusion, by attempting to mend some parts of alien culture into Gaians. He didn't want to be a enemy to anybody, he was just trying to make peace.

yes but 09 showed compassion for the gaians which means he could have been captured and torchered until he told the weakness of the zurgs which would give the other side a good advange over the zurgs. so the only way to prevent this was to stop him.

The two girls, that he fell for were welcoming the Zurg race with open arms. Standing in triangle formation. Besides, reverse technology already gave us UFO's, and not to mention Zurg. All it is is diffusion of cultures.
