Here's another grand idea: Most MMOs start you off with some sort of "training" enemy, to make sure you can use the battle interface. Such enemies rarely do more than walk around, not hurting anyone, and are sometimes humorus to kill...

Now what could we use that have these same abilities?....

BOTS!!

You've seen 'em in towns, standing next to the topic marker, spouting off consumerist propaganda, or reaping in cash on the Arenas via posting, and being generally annoying.

NOW WE CAN HAVE OUR REVENGE!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA twisted

They'd just be standing next to the first "spawn" point, saying "cool avvie" or "WANT GAIA GOLD?!?!?", just making gradual turns in the same spot. We're given a basic "punch" ring, and we get to beat the evalivin' TAR outta 'em!! ^Q

I'm sure this idea has been presented before, but I think it deserves a re-submission in any case.

That's why they have a designated beginning area (Farmer Bill's ranch).

I knew that there would be a starting area (Just didn't remember that it was Farmer Bill's Ranch >Q; ) : I just wanted to recommend easy (and satisfing) enemies to kill for it to be populated by.

Actually, that sounds like a really awesome idea.

The MMO should totally have a joke enemy called "Nooblet" or something...
Just... something that users can take their frustration out on, y'know?
