I suck at getting points across.

Ok, The DEVS do not want anything on our avis to effect the game.
There ring system is going to be new and diffrent from other games.
The rings will allow diffrent combos and sets to take place.

Theres three let me think of some of the others.

But they've worked on the battle system for a couple of years now,

wouldn't it be more simple to just add things to the items we already have?

I mean creating more stuff to new stuff would be more of a hassle wouldn't it?

I would find adding stuff to things that already exist less complicated

Think about this:
One weapon, one move... *Yawns*
One weapon, many moves...done before, look at the Final Fantasy series.
Several weapons one move each... slightly original.
Several weapons many moves each... OUCH!!!

Not only that you got spells and skills to boot. Each one can be upgraded.

The rings themselves are a way of adding another level to the MMO

Well,

Maybe that one weapon has different lvls,

The more you use the item, the more exp it will gain and lvl up, which will add stats and combos.

I have some mood rings my friend bought and gave 'em to me.

But they don't have any attack options that came with it.

But I was able to throw them at someone's face, hoping to hit their eyes or something.

I threw 'em at some weird dude that asked me if I wanted to play hockey.
