I bring bow because it is my fav ring especially for tanking YM.


As a dpser, I have a 521 set (5 attacks, 2 buffs and 1 passive). Obv hunter bow is a must but I make sure to bring hack, slash, mantis and bump.

Am I a hb trendsetter then now? xD

Well, at least that DPS set is better than my the ones in my speed.

Leader had Wish, Bandy, Solar, Hack, 2 Buffs, Meat, and Passive
Everyone else had at least three attacks, but one person had bandage instead of an AoE heal. And then when she asked if she should take Wish, she swapped out an attack for wish, so her ringset was the same as lead's.

Thankfully, she swapped while we were trying to recrewt after restarting and nobody ended up joining us, so we disbanded. crying

...HOW in the the world is this a 'good' DPS ringset? TWO people in my crew had similar sets and I asked why they had bow and other ranged rings...I got 'its a good dps i have more attacks than most.' as a reply. And they argued the whole time about how great their rings were.

Like what has happened to DMS crews the past few months emotion_0A0

o3o Well, in their defense, its their rings.
But sometimes, crews demand ppl to have a particular ring set.
There are aggros that find carrying heals (if you have a spamable buff) and meat useless because they are so good at tanking, no one will even drop one hp (that, or they got the healing portion covered).

And since healing rings are sometimes not needed in a dps set, its normal to get attack rings.
There are not many close ranged rings, so of course the set will have ranged attacks (if they don't drag aoe and cc along).

- Bow, guns ect. are apparently good rings and have a good dps
- Nobody r2's adren anymore and tends to r1 instead even on NF/BD
- Tanks struggle to reset, despite the fact reg crews are far more popular than GR/Crypt/HPR/BL
- Nobody gets tuna these days, so you see lots of newbs spamming about how they want a tuna.

I didn't disagree that it will help with loot, however as far as I have experienced, FF does not help with gaining more shadow orbs. Only with delivering crits is pretty much all it's useful for. Not counting loot.

I've done tests on luck passives, Miyaka, and FF does help. Dunno if I have the data anymore though. With enough passives I do remember that the drop rate for shorbs reached 66%.


Anyways as far as DPS goes I prefer Hack, Mantis, Slash, FF, Integ, Fitness, Buff, Buff because it minimizes the time I spend kneeling and doing nothing and I also get critical hits every third or every other attack.

I usually outperform the rest of my crew with that set.

As for people with 5 crappy attacks? I don't think they even know what DPS even means
