Futura

A red sun rises over a sick and demented planet
The sky, once a precious blue, is toxic green
After these last centuries of supposed evolution
I have never seen a destruction so extreme

Please, Mr. President, stop this war
End this silly play of useless power
Ten million dead, ten million lost souls
A nation poisoned by false hopes

Our society has been blinded by the material world
No one looks to the better side of things
Love is lost unto a humanity of lust
No more romance soaring on angel wings

One battle is over, its soldiers tired and disgusted
A new law has formed, perverting the natural course
Men with men, women with women
What used to be a preference, is now daily life

So much for the American Dream of a perfect life
Kiss goodbye to world peace and a green planet
Staring down at my rotten flesh, no more tears
Brushing away memories of a beautiful has been

A torturing walk through the industrial park
Breathing in the “refreshing” smog
Heat tearing through my skin with searing pain
Nothing to take me from this artificial immortal life

There are no robots, no flying cars, no Star Wars
There is only a planet without hope or future
Society has fallen through hypocrisy and hate
The end isn’t coming; the end is here…

My house
On concrete and faux wood-chips,
trees are too precious to waste on

um... I think you might be the last person... and if you intend to enter, you'll need to send gold anyway. If I receive entries within the final day that make the total entrants amount to over 15, then all the better.

Limping unconsciously
Smelling the fragrant air
This dream I’m having, seeming so real

As well as I keep in mind, I was unprepared
For what took place back subsequently
Was a million light years away, unaware?

Galloping gracefully in many fields filled with glee
Though only a deception
Nevertheless remember a lie; the theme is a warlike battle field

As reaching the near end
I was awaken
By something forsaken

I gazed in dismay
Oh how the world now is distressing
The vibrant world turned black and gray

Unexpectedly, recalling something had awoke me
Glancing around, still nothing but battle fields to see
This colorful world is starting to die away
Or so as it decrees

Fallen buildings, broken windows, vacant cellars
Everybody, everything, departed devoid of a trace
No corpse, no source of revenue
Or so as it decrees

I saw not even a loved one’s face
Leaving without a word of goodbye
Why must they abide without further ado?
Nothing more or less to decree
