um.......maybe he could be out side and it;s sunny or cloudy somthing like that

first you should probably add some more contrast and clean up your pic, it'll make doing the bg that much easier ^^

He looks angsty so many in a dark room, or a hallway at school with all the lockers on the sides and people staring at him.. make the color scheme similar to that you have the character in so it could add more to the mood ^^; Hope that helped!
