Trent Reznor portrait- looking for tips

I've been working ona portrait of Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Could I get some tips/advice on this piece? (hair isn't done-- it's a WIP)

I perfer not to smudge when I shade. Sometimes it makes it look really messy. The face shape is very rounded and a bit lopsided. (sorry I can't see the reference pic. May be the face is suppose to be that way.) I'm sure you want to clean up the smudgies in the back too. Good Job so far. biggrin

That looks good. I'd offer you some tips, but-uh-I'm diffinitly not good with realism.
