If you are new, then you should say so. You should also tell a little about yourself, and maybe say, "I also write poems, here is an example" or something like that.

And the "I want friends" part of the arguement doesn't help too much. "I want friends" threads aren't allowed here, but you are allowed to state that you want them in your introduction.
