She had just been told that the man she loves is dead with not a single hope of him possibly being alive. She is living in a dangerous and stressful environment. Shane was there for her for comfort and support, which she desperately needed. In no way does that make her a slut at all.

A lot of people don't seem to understand what "slut" means anymore, seriously.

The stench of decay is from bacteria and decomposing flesh. It's widely acknowledged that viruses don't have a smell. It was all Lori. You underestimate her.

It isn't sexually transmitted, everybody caught it while it was airborne and it's remained dormant until their brain shuts down. If you're bitten it triggers the virus to infect your brain stem faster than if you just died. Which is why Randel became a walker after Shane broke his neck and why Shane came back after Rick killed him.
I've seen enough zombie flicks to know how it works.
