This question was brought up to me in conversation a few days ago. I figured I'd get the GD's opinion on this.

I know this would never happen but...

If a gay guy and a lesbian were to have sex
would it still be gay sex? Or is it straight sex?

That's a good question.

I've oft pondered that myself.

I think it would be considered just sex. Not particularly straight, but as straight as straight sex gets before one or both of the partners realize neither is having any fun. Hmm..."coitus", I believe is the term appropriate to that.

I've also wondered (more times than I should) that if a person has sex with their exact genetic clone, is it masturbation?

Identical twins are technically clones, so if they had sex, it would be incest.

In the case of what sex it would be, it doesn't matter if the people are gay or straight. It all comes down to what genders are in the process.

In this case, a man and a woman, though both are gay, it would in the end be heterosexual sex. Or what you call "Straight".
