Welcome to hell, where rumors buzz through the halls, friends betray friends, bullies rule, and staying up late is mandatory to finish that one essay due first period. Some students have it a little differently than others. They're gay. Or bi. Or whatever else fits under the rainbow. They try to survive the typical high school BS while trying to come to terms with who they are in an environment that might not always be so accepting. But maybe things will be different this year. Maybe they'll blossom into the beautiful young men they were born to be, or maybe they'll crash. Maybe they'll find their first love, maybe they'll grow the balls to finally ask out their crush.

It's all up to them.

• Please try to post about once a week. I'm willing to let this be a slower moving RP if needed, and in general I'm pretty relaxed about pacing as long as everyone is still committed, but at the same time, we don't want things being halted too much. Please try to say something if you're going to be busy for a while so we know what to expect. Also, please let me know if you want to quit.

• Swearing is fine, even like a sailor if it fits your character. Romance is lovely, but that doesn't mean it needs to be rushed, and remember to time skip when the undies come off. Drama is great and encouraged. Violence can spice things up, but make sure to give the other person a chance to react when it happens and be realistic and fair.

• The roleplay has an OOC thread--linked in the introduction post, in case you missed it. Why not put it to use? Get to know the others and discuss plot. It helps when everyone's talking with each other. Communication is key.

• Decent grammar is a must, enough to understand what you wrote. I'd prefer posts to be three paragraphs long, but two paragraphs is fine as long as an effort was clearly made. There isn't a max paragraph limit, but bigger posts should only be done when necessary (i.e., they shouldn't be composed of needless filler). Remember, quality over quantity.

• Real pictures only. No scenesters/emos, and don't use pictures of yourself or your own name for your character. No more than 2 characters per person. Remember, no one is perfect.

• Send in the reserve before you send in the profile. The reserve should be titled "Skeletons." Don't worry about how the reserve appears in a PM; it might look broken, but it'll turn out fine in the thread. If you have a samples thread, give me the link with the reserve; otherwise, I will look through your post history to make sure you're literate enough. If and when I accept your reserve, you have 3 days to send me the link to your profile thread, or at least to let me know you're still working on it. The PM can be titled anything, so long as it's not "(No Subject)."

For the profile, you'll be sending in a thread. You can decorate it however you want, you can even use my layout, but two of the colors you use should be the ones you used in the reserve, and it's preferable that each post has a picture of your character in it, but that's not mandatory. The first post should have a picture of your character, their full name, and their role/title. As for the rest, it can be organized however you want, but the thread should contain this information:


• Basic information like age, nickname(s), height, sexual orientation, grade level, etc.
• Likes and dislikes, at least 4 for each.
• Personality, either listed out with an explanation for each trait or in paragraph form. There should be about four or five traits (including the three that were in the reserve). There should be at least one negative trait.
• Bio. This can either be at least two paragraphs or a bullet list of at least 5 facts about their past.
• Schedule. We probably won't play classes all the time, but having their periods figured out might help with plotting. Just be sure to try to have as many classes as possible with other people. Oh, and there won't be a list of classes to choose from. Whatever sounds good for a public high school will be fine.

A relationship post might be handy, but it's not mandatory. You're welcome to add other stuff to the thread if you so choose.

Bellhart High School resides about twenty minutes away from Seattle, Washington, and is home to the Bellhart Bulldogs. The school's colors are white and blue and there are several hundred students who attend here. It ranks as one of the best schools in the state in both academics and athletics. Bellhart High doesn't tolerate bullying of any kind, but that doesn't mean it won't happen when a teacher isn't looking, and there's a GSA, but its membership might be small. It also doesn't mean that everyone at the school is accepting.
