Okay so lets do this...

We will have 4 kingdoms, that need to be brought together through the marriages of their Princes and Princesses.
Maybe have to pull in a bit of game of thrones and name the Kingdoms this like.
The Northern Kingdom / The Kingdom of Dimonds (Prince)
The Southern Kingdom / The Kingdom of Bronze (Princess)
The Western Kingdom/ the kingdom of Gold (Prince)
The Eastern Kingdom/ The Kingdom Silver (princess)

Here How do you all feel about this?

It's only been a few months after the Death of the great King Alexander, he was originally from the Western kingdom, but through fighting and hard work he proved himself worthy to rule over all four kingdoms. Sadly he died without having a successor to his throne, and now the throne is open for any Young prince to take. A letter informing each of the kingdoms of their great king, King Alexander's death. Now with the throne up for grabs each of the rulers have sent their eldest children to Great Gardens Castle located in the center of the Realm where all four kingdoms come together. This location has been declared Neutral territory and agreed upon by each of the kingdoms. Here at Great Gardens Castle the boys will be made into men and the girls made into Women fit to be high ruling queens. It had been preset whom each Prince and Princess are going to marry after their parents sat for days delegating. Their children are unsure whom they will be with, and this will no be revealed to them until after the New king had been chosen.

And I'm not usually one with a morbid brooding character,
but what I first thought of was a king.

We're a small group and we can plot this carefully.
We don't have to put all four characters into the moshpit at the first scene.

You say game of thrones, yes?
I only watched it when it was on telly during my bummer days [which was almost a year ago]
but I can say we can dwell in our kingdoms,
make plans of our own,
visit each other,
call wars upon each other,
accuse each other,
hate, love each other.

My king will be besties with that prince,
who can betray him later on.
And that princess who is in love with my king
can try to kill me,
or the other princess.

These are the things we can plot about.
Just saying.

and we are all going to the nutral meeting place to find out whom will be the King of all from kingdoms.

Everyone's gonna get pissed at how self-centered he is.

Hmm. We can say the meeting will be filled with love and hate.

UGH. It does get confusing when you try to come up with everything at once.

I feel like if they don't all sort of live together, it would be sort of lonely
To dwell only in their Kingdoms, doesn't seem like a lot would happen with this small group
I guess I just need more detail on how it will all work out.

I feel like if they all live together more drama will happen
Little love letters could be slipped under the doors at night

How about this...

One couple, who would be the King and Queen live in the castle and basically over see everything
But... the other couple who didn't, lets say, make the cut, are sort of on the side lines waiting for a slip up.
When any sort of big mistake or slip up happens and the other kingdoms come to the same decision...
The King that was chosen is taken off the throne and the other takes his place.
I'm really just trying to think of reasons for them all to live together, but if you guys don't want them to that's alright.

I was actually losing the Victorian era vibe with all the kingdom conquer bullshit I have been saying.
We can actually tone it down a little,
make them more childlike,
less burden on their shoulders,
and more shallow.

Sons and daughters of aristocrats,
all guests of the king for two whole months.

Girls sneaking out at night,
talk about boys in their nightgowns.

Boys riding out,
sneaking into taverns.

It's like, obviously technology wasn't invented yet
They're still children, teenagers, but because of their social standings they will be betrothed
I think we could still make it work as them being royalty though

Also how is the liking thing going to be

A = Girl 1
B = Boy 1
C = Girl 2
D = Boy 2

A is betrothed to B
C is betrothed to D

Will it still be how we talked about it before?
Or should we have them just liking the other that they're not betrothed too?

Either way 2 of them will be liking who they're supposed to be with...

the best rider will have 'her' for today and no other boy can talk to her till the morning dawn.

And the rules are about to be broken. Haha.

I dunno how to make them ALL royal,
unless they were all there as guests,
or the SUPREME KING is there to announce the weaving of the smaller kingdoms,
so they will all be ONE SUPREME KINGDOM.

Yas! There should only be one couple to be married.
The king [NPC] has two sons.
The girls are daughters of different dukes.

Maybe one of the girls know what the king's announcement will be.
"I heard one of us will be royal." -giggle giggle-
"Do you swear your soul!?" -gasp-
"Only if I have one. I have dreamed of doing Prince Wootoot nasty since I laid my eyes on him."
"He has grown so much. I hardly remember the little boy."
"Shush now, he's coming!"

Ooh. Your everyday afternoon tea.

And then that night, the king makes the big announcement
and all the girls are envious of that one lucky girl
who's going to marry the handsome prince.
