Try a different trick, like changing the arm pose and/or make him hold an item.

Oh, I've tried it already.
The claw is a bit large, so it extends out a bit farther when lifted.
I also searched for large items to hold. Not a single, solid, decent, black shield.
If there was a Checkmate shield in black, it would have been perfect. emotion_facepalm

Update:

(1) The original Contest #2 and Contest #3 has been combined, since it's hard to do the orange/green halfatars causing very limited entries.

(2) A new Contest #3 has been added. This new contest should give you more freedom in making a halfatar. Check the first post to see what it is. Have fun!

Why not try the 3rd contest? :B You can pretty much do any color combination.
