HELP! 1940's Themed Birthday Card

I want to make a 1940's themed Birthday Card. Any ideas would be much appreciated! 4laugh

Well, the first thought that comes to mind is that for the first half of that decade, I'd bet people didn't necessarily give cards that often, and those they did were probably pretty small -- paper was one of the many resources that was rationed.

Next thought is that it probably matters whether it's for a guy or a girl. I'd do an internet search for 40s-era artwork (including cards) and see what you come up with, though. When you say "1940s themed", are you thinking more along the lines of a stylized 40s "look", or more like trying to replicate a kind of card from the period?
