A grumble noise came out of a mass of blankets and pillows as the phone alarm went off, which was then followed by a quick tap to turn it off. Turning over, the girl on the bed threw the blankets over herself before falling back asleep. This same routine happened a couple of more times before the girl finally decided to get up. After stretching, she grabbed her phone and got on her phone for a while. The event that had her checking her messages, replying back, going on twitter, going to instagram, probably playing some silly games, and who knows what else.
After a while of that, Valencia got up and made her way to her bathroom to get ready for the day. Valencia, Val for short, wasn't a morning person at all. In all honesty, she hated getting up in the mornings. If she didn't wake up in her own way, she would become cranky and overall bitchy for the most part. But that's why she hit the snooze so many times, and also why she spent so much time on her phone to when she was finally awake enough to get in the shower. After a short enough shower to freshen up, she put on a robe and sat down in front of the mirror in her bathroom. Sitting there she started some music from her phone and started her make-up, or putting on her face as she would say.
Primping and grooming her face, hair, and anything else she finally made her way back to her room to get dressed. She loved fashion, and she had enough clothes to probably own a shop. Sadly, she couldn't bring all of them with her. Plus from only moving in a couple of days prior into the apartment, some of her stuff was still packed in boxes. Taking a nice dress out of her closet, she quickly put it on. Grabbing a couple of other things such as shoes, accessories, and other alike items she put them on as well. Glancing at herself in the mirror as a final check, she smiled to herself and sprayed on some perfume.
Walking out of her room, she made her way to her kitchen where she started a cup of coffee before leaving the house. Luckily she had a quick and go coffee maker such as Keurig, she didn't have to wait very long for it. And luckily it was faster than waiting at a coffee shop first thing in the morning. As she waited she ate a granola bar, then quickly put on a lid to coffee cup. Val threw away her trash, then walked over to her purse and grabbed it. Making sure everything she needed was in it, she grabbed her keys and walked out of her apartment and locked the door behind her. She then proceeded to throw her keys back into her purse and take out her headphones to block out the sound of the traffic on her way to school.
She thought she would try walking to school because it was at least in walking distance, and she thought the weather was fantastic in the morning. She was glad she at least was somewhat familiar with the streets because she use to take quite a few vacations to the city with her friends and her family sometimes. Plus she just took one earlier in the summer with her friends, before she had to move away from them for a while. So the memory of the street names were still pretty familiar.
After finally arriving at the college Val sat down at a bench near by, since for the first time in forever she was actually early for something. A great accomplishment when it came to her, she was usually the type of person to be "fashionable late". Val played on her phone and occasionally made conversation with the other attendants of the school as she waited for the classes to begin.
