Amidst the chaos of District III, crowds of people fail to notice the sudden appearance of tiny fireballs. "Sputter? Sputter sputter..." They talked to each other and flew about in the area. While seemingly harmless at first, an occasional small ember would come off of them and start to set some of the canvas merchant booths near by the Lorekeeper of Mana. They seem to start dancing around the different flaming booths in happiness to see something like that. Some of the merchants scream and start to pour water on the booths to try and stop the fire, but the little fire balls continue to float about in bliss as a few more start to appear from the fires they created.

Meanwhile, within the library, a few spawned from the fireplace itself after Eclipsa, Haru, and Zelda had fled the scene. "Sputter? Sputter sputter sputter...."
A couple of students were in awe at the sigh, some of them saying how adorable the tiny fireballs were. They weren't so cute as random embers accidentally set a couple of books on fire. Thus, the chaos of the library started up as students and librarians rushed to put out the fires on the books, and try and catch the little fireballs as a couple more came out from the fireplace.

Time travel. Sure it’s a common thing in the movies that he’s seen, but actually go through it? Rarity. Course when offered the chance to go back in time with the help from a motorcycle guy from the future to stop a psychopath in a mask, who wouldn’t take that opportunity! Those events are now in the past and it was time to return home…well…at least to his home timeline in Venice, Italy. Judai remembered closing his eyes at one point to take a small nap through the time stream. Yusei was in control of things so it was cool to take a small snooze. That was the last thing the duelist remembered before he woke back up with everything hurting.

Groaning, he tried to sit up some from laying on his stomach, ”Yuuuussssei, did it hurt when we went into the past or is the whole fight catching up to me? Did you crash or something?”

The bag on his back wiggled as a cat’s head popped out of the bag and meowed.

”Yeah I hear you, Pharaoh…” Judai yawned and sat up on his knees. The floor was hard, but what was he on the floor? Yusei didn’t seem like the type of person who would just drop him on the ground and leave without saying goodbye! He opened his eyes and looked around. ”What the heck?!” Judai shouted a little before jumping to his feet. He could hear Yubel sleeping some in his head so asking them was not an option. The other people in the room were making threats or being confused as well.

Judai groaned, ”Oh don’t tell me the timeline STILL got screwed up! I don’t have that power….” he shut up as he continued to look around. ”So uh…are you guys from my world just the time line screwed up or something else?”

Bala wasn't sure, but it seemed as though the "mana transfers" were something important if the nights were cold if he didn't get one. 'That's rather sad...' Although now she thought he was joking when he mentioned about Zara making the nights colder. In the madness of going super fast, Bala still had the means to tilt her head in confusion while still being held close by Zara. People who came beyond the skies were surely strange to her. He continue to comment about the invitation was wrapped in a strange manner around the axe in a "adorable" way? Now all she could think was seeing a battle axe that a knight would have with a pink ribbon and slip of paper attached to it.

She giggled about it for a brief moment before she felt a familiar drop in her stomach and floaty feeling. The former Lorekeeper yelped as she and Zara flew threw the air, out of Challengers hands. 'Wait why is this familiar?' was the thought that interrupted her trying to stop themselves before they go crashing into the water feature. Thankfully, it wasn't extremely shallow like a lot of fountains, but enough for Bala to be fully submerged in it. The bubbles and water rushing around her ears and body were further familiar to her. 'Strange...' she thought to herself as she twisted her body around and came up to the surface. She sat there in the water dazed, not really realizing that water was continuously to be poured on her like a waterfall from the fountain. The water of the main feature was up to her waist. The undershirt was now clingy, her coat and scarf was now really heavy. She wasn't aware of the crowds forming by the stunt.

Bala didn't hear Zara at first...well didn't hear Zara's voice but someone else's for a brief second before she blinked and realized what she was sitting under and around. The woman lifted her hand to watch as the gold pieces people threw in fall back into the water after being stuck to her hand. She could hear Zara yelling at Challenger about being mental. Bala, on the other hand, was focused on that floaty/stomach dropping feeling and how it felt familiar...and fun. She started to laugh, moving some of her wet hair out of her face, "Oh...oh my gods. Please say we can do that again!"

There was also the fact that she felt really better, the pale shade her skin was taking earlier had all returned. The impromptu splash down was refreshing. She was giggling when Zara came over to help her up, "I'm fine, I'm fine. How about you?" She takes Zara's hands to get up, but for some reason....

...her legs don't work right....

She almost collapses, but quickly grabs on, "S-sorry, I-I guess my legs are...." Bala turned back to look to see about any injuries...only to find a TAIL! A dark blue tail with a few white scales were there in place of her legs, her pants destroyed. Green crystal seem to apart of the scales as well, but sticking out a little like an outer scale or claw? The fin was pale blue, almost white, seemingly almost ribbon like. It moved when Bala's mind told it to. Bala's mouth was wide open but was really unsure of what to say, but made little noises like she's shocked and unable to say anything. A piece of her now tattered pants floated a long side the pair in the water. She wasn't even aware of the fin like portions that replaced her ears.

Her boots float by in the water.

"Oh Al-chan, you're so nice to say that about me! Ai did do a better job as passing off as humans than the others and Ai have to say, Ai have better creativity, heh~." Ai said, with both genuine sincerity, but a little sad cause Alphonse just kinda lump humans and just said he passed more as one. Then again, it is a life of an A.I. after all and he passed it off as Alphonse's nativity. However, he did appreciate his words. It was true, he and Roboppi had passed for better humans than what Queen had SOLtech program on the assembly line. They had better creativity than that hag, just couldn't stop the glowing wrists and the diamond on his neck. Oh well.

Genesis remained quiet throughout his and Alphonse's proclamation about life, but he shrugged it off. He's lived with the guy long enough to know he wouldn't have much a reaction or maybe turn it into a reference to Loveless. Aside from the fact he was hard to read sometimes. So when he said that it smelled like onions after they left District II, Ai nearly jumped. "Hm, I can't really tell." he shrugged. Not like he didn't know the smell of onions thanks to hours spent in a food truck, the body doesn't register it. Then he spoke up about how the idea of subject of one's birth didn't matter, but it did for him because of some lie that he was fed throughout his life.

In the months spent with Yusaku and Kusanagi on their wacky adventures, he was familiar with the aftermath of the Lost Incident in terms of physical and mental conditions Yusaku, Takeru, and Jin suffered from the experiment. So he wondered what was this whole life long lie that Genesis was talking about? The story came about that Genesis was an islander on an apple orchid.

'Sounds rather nice...' Ai commented silently. They had apparently grown some sort of strange apple variant called, a Dumb Apple. "Wait...why were they called Dumb Apples? Did they call them dumb because of random fruit cycles? That's kinda dumb to call them that. They should be happy a fruit comes more often than normal." Ai was ready to be told shut up for randomly interjecting with a question about a random thing. He could almost hear Roboppi in his mind going "Dumb is a forbidden word!"...he knew it was 'idiot', but it was close enough on that list of "forbidden vocabulary". The story continued on that he lived pretty much a happy and well off life with a friend, family, perfecting apple based drinks, and joining the military.

'Oh Ai do not like where this is going.' He thought as he spun Genesis's happy life tale over and over again in his mind.

There's always a 'but' in that matter.

Genesis continued on about an accident in training leading to the life altering news about his origins. That he was a test subject as a small stage of human life for something called, The Jenova Project. 'Why do these experiments always have to have creepy names..' he thought, comparing the name, Jenova Project, to the Hanoi Project/Lost Incident. It was sad to know that this happy life was a fabrication for a super soldier project. The next stage of human evolution or humanity's successors. It was even worse given their situation coming out of whatever was affecting their minds in this world. A perfect life all a lie.

Ai wondered briefly about the bandage on Genesis's shoulder. He had seen it a few times before when Genesis's drunk bar fights had gotten a little out of hand. Had to put band aids on booboos whether he was sober or inebriated. The Ignis wondered if that was the ill-fated injury that caused that truth of his life. Some wheels were spinning in Ai's processors of some thoughts and ideas. Alphonse, however, interrupted those thoughts as he apologized about the situation that Genesis was put into. It wasn't like Al had any play on it...then again, it is natural for humans to apologize to one another about something like that. He mentioned that the world he hailed from was no stranger to experimentation either.

"Ai hate to say this, but Ai'm pretty sure if science exists and whim of an ai-dea, so would experimentation. My world was no different on this horrible idea of child experimentation for superiority...though...not to that degree." Ai kinda went quiet on the ending part, not even punning his name into anything after "idea". He couldn't imagine his origin going through something similar to what Genesis was put through. Scratch that, Ai knew Queen would put Yusaku through something like that if Go had been experimented with Earth. Al pointed out that it wasn't his fault that he was used. 'No, it's people who decided that children were okay to experiment on.' He wondered if Al had met Yusaku back in the beginning if he would snap at him in the a similar way that he did with Akira Zaizen. Again, young nativity and coming from a different walk of life.

"Although, doesn't change much of my opinion bout you, especially all this t-ai-me that we've lived together in that mansion. Still think you're just one lit-ai-ture obsessed human with an awesome wing than a monster. However, given my life before here, it's hard to change one's self perception of themselves. Even with years of ther-ai-py."
Ai shrugged on that part. It was true given his time with Yusaku. "At least that's just Ai opinion."

Judai carefully searched around the upper floors of the temple. Hane Kuriboh was going through the doors to search the rooms for Grey, while he looked around the hallways. Occasionally he would open a door, but to an empty room. They were only halfway through searching the upper floors, and so far nothing. He was getting worried. He remembered Yusei's expression of worry for the person he considered a little brother so Judai wanted to help reunite them. Judai would've called out, but didn't want to draw attention for being in the upper floors.

"Hmmm." Judai stopped before crossing his arms, deep in thought. If it was him after returning from the Duel Monsters Spirit World, he'd mostly hide out in his room or other secluded areas of the campus. The place, however, had a lot more hiding places than Judai could count. He sighed with a small groan, "He's really good at hide n seek."

"Reminds me of a certain someone. Maybe it would be wise to let him return to Yusei on his own." Yubel commented, looking down at a statue of a mermaid with below the shoulders locks of hair, ribbons around gloves a frilly like dress with ribbons and a bonnet on top with a flower. This was another statue that they had passed along the hallways. All different and all appeared to be singers, "Let the two of them work things out. That, and these statues look too realistic. It's a little weird that the artist really had an eye on details to make them like this." Yubel looked back at Judai who was looking at the statue too.

Judai tilted his head to it. He had noticed them before, but figured they were a part of the decorations being a temple dedicated to a water dragon. "Yeah..." he said, noticing something. Like a spark somewhere. Almost like--

He took in a sharp breath before looking around, his eyes had already changed colors. Something was watching them. Hane Kuriboh was already back with him, hiding behind his shoulder and shaking. Judai didn't like this feeling. It was like some huge monster was staring down at them, ready to eat at a moment's notice. Yet he couldn't see them. He always had some weird feelings around the six temples, especially around the one at the school and the one Yusei was now associated wtih....but now it was ramped up. He felt frozen. It was big.

So powerful that he didn't realize what was coming up behind him and--

"Kid what the hell are you whaa--!" the unfortunate guard said, who met with Judai's sudden turn around and blast with dark winds. The guard flew back and landed on his back. "HEY!" The other raised his sword, "Stand down right now!"

Judai was taken aback. He really didn't mean to attack the knight that came up on him, but his instincts were on high from the presence that they went on autopilot to protect himself. "Uh boy...Listen. I'm sure we can come to an agreement but there's something here and it was an accid--"

"The only something that's here is you and last we checked you were a guest staying on this floor! You alright Jibson?" the knight called back as the other one got up, using his spear as stabilizer. "Yeah Jibfather...kid's magic threw me for a loop." the other replied, shaking off Judai's attack before readying the spear, "Come with us quietly or else." Jibson threatened.

Judai tilted his head, "Jibson...and Jibfather? Is there a Jibmother and Jib..baby?"

"Yeah, so? We are of the Jib clan! Family of warriors! Why question our names?" Jibfather said proudly.

"No reason, just...curious?" Judai was trying to buy time to get away before he felt something poke him from behind. Another weapon and a voice, "Don't move, intruder."

Judai froze, now he was caught, "Uh...is this Jibdaughter?" he asked.

"No. That's Squad Leader Prudence. She's my fiance and don't you dare use your wind magic on her either. You're surrounded." Jibson said.

"Oh uh...congratulations?" Judai said with his hands up. He would use his powers to flee but he didn't know what the knights had and since they already saw his face, it would be pointless to hide, even at hte guild. "Listen this is just a misunderstanding and--"

He felt himself being lifted from behind. Like a mother cat holding a kitten by the scruff, only being his jacket and shirt. "Who hey!? Wow, you're really strong, Prudence." Judai looked back a little

"Thanks but save your talk for the captain before we throw you in prison." she said before the three marched along.

Jibson looked over, "Since you're a magic user, we're going to call on Commander Curtiss to see what he and the captain will decide your fate."

"I'm telling you it was an accident and there was something in this hallway!" Judai glared a little. The presence seemed to had gone mostly away when the knights jumped him, but Judai knew he was still being watched as he was told to shut his mouth. 'Oh great...Shark's going to be mad at this....wait...oh no Lynne is going to KILL ME!' he thought.

Although her duties were completed and her title passed down to a younger generation, the now Former Mana Guardian still resides within the temple as a mentor to the younger guardian and to still pass down stories and such. Now her new duty was to attend the patients that reside in the many rooms as a new head doctor. What was supposed to be a grand feast during the festival turned to tragedy. If it was not for the release of the Mana Dragon, Zoa, the temple and many more would've suffered obliteration much like the hospitals thanks to the beast.

She finished checking the vitals on the now comatose Mana Lorekeeper. They turned her bedroom into her private hospital room. Guards posted to make sure that she too wouldn't disappear. Looking up, a small spider started to spin webbing from the ceiling to explore the world below. Carefully, she lifted her hand and allowed the arachnid to land on her finger. One of the guards flinched.

"Your fear of them understandable. it's a common one at best. Don't worry." she turned and smiled some under her hood, "Just a harmless one that wouldn't harm our dear Lorekeeper, but guard her from the other bugs."

She would move to the window sill and placed her hand on the ledge for it to crawl off. "If you don't bother them, they won't bother you."

She pulled a pen from under her hood and wrote down some notes from the vitals as a nurse finished setting up an IV. "She's stable but still comatose. Much like the Star Lorekeeper. We'll need to continue to monitor for any signs of consciousness. We'll need to make sure she is moved often to prevent blood clots and keep her lungs free from fluid build up." she passed the chart over to her nurse, "Just like how everyone attended the Star Lorekeeper."

The nurse nodded and started to walk out. However, she suddenly stopped.

"Hm?" The Former Guardian wondered why her nurse stopped before she suddenly collapsed. Quickly the doctor grabbed her to keep her from falling completely to the ground. "Naigus-san?!" she called out, trying to wake the nurse up. Looking up, the guardian noticed that a knight collapsed while the other started to throw up.

She took felt a tiny bit nauseous but not to the extent of the knight. 'What was that power?'

Picking up Nurse Naigus, the Former Guardian shouted, "Oh you have got to be KIDDING ME!"

It was obvious she was not happy.
